Guy T. Koepp
Lou, you can't try to die. It always happens when you least expect it too. Just when you think your life is going great... ...BAM! Train! robbalvey
Pleasurewood Hills Photos have been posted!!! http://www.themeparkreview.com/uk2006/pleasurewood/pleasurewood1.htm Sorry this update took a little longer, we were working this past weekend on shipping the new DVD...but that's for another thread! Anyway.....Pleasurewood Hills! Today would start our "3 Parks In A Day" credit whore run, and actually it wasn't so much of a credit whore trip because we did have plenty of time at all the parks we visited. I had been to Pleasurewood Hills about 8 years before and thought it was a "nice little family park" and it still is. It's home to a one-of-a-kind Schwarzkopf "Jumbo Jet V." I remembered this ride being MUCH more insane when I rode it before, but still, it was fun, although kind of un-eventfull. Some random highlights from the day: - Why do all the rides have multiple names? I guess so the Jeff Johnsons of the world can count them twice! - The 3D dark ride which had little to no 3D to it. - The "Merry-Go-Straight" Huh? Obviously NOT Tommy & James approved ride! - Dan goes berzerk at the grocery store. What could be better? Here's some pics: We're not known for taking "normal" group photos! Joe's wet dream. Mmmmm....Joe...look at all that random twisty track! We didn't get many photos of the two of us together. Thanks Dan for giving me that pic! Hmm, another identity crisis! "Snake in the Grass?" Or "The Rattlesnake?" "It's got two names, therefore TWO credits!" Merry-Go-Straight!?!?!? Apparently, Dan really misses work! You can see the entire update here: http://www.themeparkreview.com/uk2006/pleasurewood/pleasurewood1.htm Enjoy! --Robb
chavslayer
Great photos as usual, very funny captions. Ive still not been to Pleasurewood, is it actually any good?
martinb
Hey, more great photo's Robb, hope you all enjoyed your day at my home park. Just to let you know, there are quite a few rides having an 'identity crisis' as the park is in the middle of a massive refurbishment, its currently only open until Spetember so they have more time to mae the park better. Personally I think the names were better before they were chagned, can't you tell its now owned by a French Company with all these crazy names for the rides. [EDIT] ^Well I love it, but it is my home park and my first ever park with my first ever credits! So it will always hold a place in my heart. Your best bet is to visit in a couple of years, like I said above, its currently going through a major face lift, and with all the changes that are happening, it will certainly be on the UK theme park map. -Martyn
Nrthwnd
Loved pages two and three of the current update - Pleasurewood Hills...BUT - where the heck is PAGE ONE of this thing? I can't find a Page One - just the started creds for Pleasurewood are on the intro page. Then I can click over to Page Two no prob. But - still, no page one... Awaiting further instructions and I shall comply, winkwink. robbalvey
^ Click the Refresh button on your browser, they should be there. You probably clicked on page one of the Pleasurewood Hills pages before I put the pictures so that's still what's in your browser's cache. --Robb
