Florida420 Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 ^Nope, It's ok I understand. Â Â Maybe you can bring an one with you to HHN, in case I see you there.
disneylanddork50 Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 Dude that looks soooo evil . I don't know why parks do that . It is a waste of cash to me . But if the park gets money from the event , I guess I shouldn't care .
BarryH Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 ahh did anyone eles click on that video tape on the phycoscarapey page?  .....its scary  I didn't see the video, but I did hear the audio. The visual test in the Psychoscareapy page freaked me out!
thefitness Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 ^opps the visual test is what I meant It was so Scary!
jarmor Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 I was wondering how they were going to incorporate it in this years site since they did it was terror mines last year on the website. I totally screamed! Now as far as the video...nothing played for me! Â ^Nope, It's ok I understand. Â Â Maybe you can bring an one with you to HHN, in case I see you there. Â Thats a plan! Im gonna be down oct 5th thru 7th staying at the portifino bay so if you, or anyone wants to hang out or be on the DVD then let me know !
MummyAW Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 ahh did anyone eles click on that video tape on the psychoscarapy page?  .....its scary  I don't see a videotape. Where is it?
JT3000 Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 So, how did everyone fare on the psychological evaluation test?
Mr. Volcano Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Oh I can't wait for this! I love HHN, every year I go I have ALOT of fun. Looks pretty creepy this year, cant wait to see what they have in store for us. Â -Justin
rc_fan1 Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Hey Ninjacat! It's me Ryan from the vault. yep this is my screen name here. Â But yea, we're going the 20th. School gets out for us down here in Ft.Luaderdale. I can hardly wait! I am a little iffy on the People Under the Stairs, it doesn't really sound scary. i think it's the title of the house that turns me off. People Under the Stairs, yes, under the stairs there are people. Scary? I don't really think so... But I'll see how it is in a month. 26 more days!
Thrasher Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 When I was talking to my friends a while back, they werent too excited, but now that the website is filling out, and showing them pics from last years event, I got a ton of people going with me. Ill probably be solo when I meet up with Robb & co, but I got a frequent fear pass so im going tons of times. Â With my new preferred pass, I got a frequent fear pass for $47! This year is shaping up to be a bit more affordable then last years last minute plans. Â I also already got my express passes. Dont be like me last year having to beg the guy at the ticket counter to sell me one from a reserved list, buy them early and online!
ECZenith Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 RC, first of all welcome! I too post at HHN Vault (under this same name) Just wanted to clear up that "People Under The Stairs" is based off a popular old horror movie and isn't some random theme.
Slacking Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 PUTS is probably my least anticipated house this year, and it has nothing to do with it's name. I could not stand the technology Terror Mines used last year (I disliked the fact that the scareactors seemed to primarily target the hat-wearer and that the design team seemed to skimp on the design (do all mines consist of burlap sack walls and ropes hanging down?)) Since PUTS uses the same technology, I'm not really looking foward to it. Â I won't be able to go until the 8th (pesky HOS), so it'll be really hard not to spoil the houses for myself before I go, but I know I'm gonna give into temptation.
coasterdave Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 I have learned that the best night to go to HHN is the only wednesday that it is open. I have never had to buy those Express Tickets for that wednesday ever, but I do know it is hard for some of the out of towners to hit in on a wednesday. I am thankful that I have a job that I can get time off in the middle of the week to attend things like this.

I am thankful that I have a job that I can get time off in the middle of the week to attend things like this. Â I'm not sure what you mean by "out of towners", but I think I qualify. I would rather have it kind of crowded, half the fun is watching the reactions and hearing people scream. My wife screamed her butt off last year and I was laughing so hard I had to sit down for 10 minutes after each house to catch my breath. Express passes are well worth the money. Â As for PUTS, I've seen the movie a few times and if they do the house right, it could be real cool!! But right is a big word, we'll have to see. I'm going on 9/29 and 9/30. Can't wait!!!!!!
robbalvey Posted September 25, 2006 Author Posted September 25, 2006 UPDATE! Several of us are now doing one of the HHN "VIP Tours" that Universal Orlando offers on the night of October 19th. You are still welcome to come and hang out with other TPR members, but we (Elissa and I) will not be available to hang out the entire night due to being on the tour. You would still be welcome to come meet up with us during the day. --Robb
Thrasher Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Damn, I was hoping to meet up with you guys again. I have classes during the day, so I will see what happens. When I first heard about the tours being available this year, I wanted to go on one, but its too pricey. Hopefully you guys will get some awesome pictures.
Florida420 Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Thats a plan! Im gonna be down oct 5th thru 7th staying at the portifino bay so if you, or anyone wants to hang out or be on the DVD then let me know ! Â You got to be kidding me. I'm gonna be there on Friday29th and Saturday30th the weekend before you. Then the 11th - 15th the weekend after you. Well, maybe you don't want to tell people you know me...
Mr. Volcano Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 I took off for the 19th, so hopefully I'll be able to swing over there for the night to do HHN. How much was the tour? That sounds cool, I've never checked into that before. Â -Justin
BarryH Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 The tours are $100 per person on non-peak nights and $140 per person on peak nights. HHN admission is not included. Â E-mail viptours@universalorlando.com for information and a signup sheet.
Mr. Volcano Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Cool, maybe its something for me to do sometime in the near future. Theres a list of neat theme park stuff I haven't done yet, including Segaways. Â -Justin
JT3000 Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 The RIP tours have always seemed like a huge rip-off if you ask me. I mean, if you know what you're doing, an Express pass (and maybe some jell-o shots) is all you'll ever need. The tours seem to be targeted at HHN newbies, because they're actually quite limiting from a veteran's standpoint. Plus, you have little chance of getting targeted in the scarezones if you're huddled together in a VIP group. The scareactors often treat them like the "don't even look at us group." It's probably the annoying glow sticks that light up the entire area. Having front row seats to B&T and saving a couple extra minutes not waiting in line are the only real perks I see.
