Inferno Insane Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 A trusty source who works at Adventure Island says that the ride should be open for their staff X-mas party and should be open to the public in January. Oh if that is the case, might cancel mine annual trip in December and visted sometime in January, with Rage open I hope
niiicolaaah Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Dude! Why didn't we go there on the UK trip? It's got a HUGE Tivoli!
ECZenith Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Bossman, "Space Chase" was the same model as Movieland's X-Speed. (A Pinfari super train powered coaster)
Guest Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Gerslauter 320 + versions look very wierd like a mix of intamin and gerslauter...GRRR...Cool ride though
martinb Posted September 20, 2006 Author Posted September 20, 2006 Its a very cool little design, I just think the tri-track looks ugly!
ECZenith Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 ^ I agree with you on that... Just looks wrong but I still love the layout.
jackorack Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 so i live in southend, and the Log flume is now gone. So they should be building rage any time now
Stuart-J Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 i should be going back to southend soon in february as i might be doing a UK Theme park tour for my birthday, ive seen the euro fighter before at this warehouse my dad took me to once 2 months ago and its huge...p.s i went to hospital once on the day i went to adventure island after riding dragons claw...its hurts
martinb Posted October 19, 2006 Author Posted October 19, 2006 Just a wee update: http://www.adventureislandguide.com/features/close0607/index.htm The log Flume has been removed and all the rides have been moved to make way for Rage. Just waiting for construction now.
Xme3 Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 wow, Eurofighters look totally amazing, I can't wait to ride a real one if I ever get the chance!
Inferno Insane Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Went on Saturday and the area was bare. Today, An Special delivery Arrives! http://www.adventureislandguide.com/rides/construction/rage/dec06x1.htm & Should be opening February sometime for Half Term.
SharkTums Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 LOL, I love it! It looks like a giant IKEA furniture project.
nemesis-storm Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Oh that's sooo typical. Load of us go to the park on Saturday to see if anything has happend in the construction of Rage & it all arrives just 2 days later !!.
martinb Posted December 20, 2006 Author Posted December 20, 2006 Vertical construction begins: http://www.adventureislandguide.com/rides/construction/rage/dec06x4.htm
rollermonkey Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 LOL, I love it! It looks like a giant IKEA furniture project. It's even got some pieces partly assembled, like finding drawer rails already attached! IKEACOASTER! Does it come with a little allen wrench?
Golfie Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Without much vertical construction, the color scheme makes it look like a spinning mouse!
FLIPDUDE Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 ^^IKEACOASTER? No no no... it would probbably be called something more along the lines of U'berpoofenachterbahnasvatter!
TPDave Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 Apoarently it will be up and testing by late january. Is it me or does that seem a little long considering the couple of days that portable coasters take to build up. I know it's permenant and not designed for quick assembly but it's got a tiny footprint, everything bolts onto a sub-frame and its only a little bit bigger. Loving the colour scheme though
IceDragon Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 this will be my 8-year old sisters first upside-down ride, let alone a 97* drop that she doesnt (and hopefully, wont) know about. wow, i can wait!!!
hazzaman Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Lmaoo! My 8-yearold sister has been on a upside downride "Rocking rollercoaster in paris" But she hasnt been on a 97 degree drop, Saying that neither have i... Only vertical
rollermonkey Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 ^^IKEACOASTER? No no no... it would probbably be called something more along the lines of U'berpoofenachterbahnasvatter! Nah, Loorna or Heinreich would be more their style.
Inferno Insane Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 No Idea what the workers are on, Helix and Half of the Lift now up. http://www.adventureislandguide.com/rides/construction/rage/jan07x4.htm
CP_RULES Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 So let me get this straight, this is a permanent portable? Why make it portable if its brand new and it going to stay? Anyways, I havent really looked at this before today, it looks pretty dang cool though!
speedracer Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Nice pics of the nearly completed layout: http://www.adventureislandguide.com/rides/construction/rage/jan07x9.htm And one of the completed ride (scroll to the very bottom): http://www.adventureislandguide.com/rides/construction/rage/jan07.htm
IceDragon Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 SCORE!!!!! this must be the best thing installed since the removal of The Fireball
