Homer Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Super Smash Brothers Brawl got pushed back (again) a month to March 9! Again?? I've been waiting (like the rest of you) since last year when I did a reserve on it...thinking it was coming out that summer. Oh well. Just makes March a better month as that's when my offseason comes to an end. I'm a little peeved about this as well. This is what feels like the millionth time a delay has been made for the game, and I've been waiting for this game since the Wii was still called "Revolution" and the game was a "mere hint at E3 2005." And the release dates? 2005: "Revolution Launch" 2006: Unknown, but most estimated 2007. Mid 2007: December 3rd, 2007 Late 2007: February 10th, 2008 Now: March 9th, 2008 My question is, why didn't our release get bumped back a week like Japan's date? Oh well, a little peeved, but at least I'm not waiting for Duke Nukem Forever (which has been in development for 10+ years).
the sound Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 ^ At least your'e not living here, we won't get it now until at least May.
Primogen18 Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 http://wii.ign.com/articles/846/846662p1.html Sorry UK folk who have an over-protective government, how ridiculous. First a watered down (not worth buying) version of Manhunt 2, now this? Has parental and individual responsibility gone completely out the window with video games?!
odie Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Well I just finished the first 60 stars on Super Mario Galaxy. Did anyone else find the last level, star 61 I think it is, really hard? Well anyways the first 60 were great and I hope the second 60 are just as good!
kraken613 Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 I picked up No More Heros and Endless Ocean today. NMH is really good. Its nice to see that kind of game come ot Wii. I havnt played Endless Ocean yet but it got decent reviews and you cant go wrong with it only $30!
bblfgrd Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 I also picked up both games...and am kinda up in the air on them both, and can't decide if they are just okay or really great. NMH is definitely unique and entertaining, while Endless Ocean is completely relaxing and entrancing. I'm a SCUBA diver and I think they got some of the fish models pretty spot on
kraken613 Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 The more I play NMH the more I like it. Its very weird and entertaining and has a nice art style too it. I started to play some Endles Ocean and it was cool. Ill give you my FC when I get online sometime soon!
robbalvey Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 This is very odd, but interesting: Head Tracking for Desktop VR Displays using the WiiRemote
arrowfanman Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 That was actually very interesting. I would love to see this technology incorporated into games. Being able to physically duck behind and beside objects in the game would be pretty neat! -Jahan
onewheeled999 Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 That kinda reminds me of that old plug-n-play Mission Paintball thing that came out a few years ago. Apparently, you could duck down and you can't get hit, or something like that. But seriously, this could completely change the way games are made. With more good games coming onto the PS3, this could steal the show from the 'most powerful graphics engine on a console'.
chmilo24 Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Mmm, I wonder what Call of Duty 4 or the Halo Trilogy with that would be like? Probably the best games EVER!!!
RCFreak Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 ooo it's like the Playstation eye toy done VERY right!
Angry_Gumball Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 WOW....that was crazy. This could every easily be done, by wireless sensorbar. It would be cool to actually see this come into play...use a joystick to move only forward or backward, and use your head for ducking, turning, looking, walking up close to read/see something...
thunder001 Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Wii....Just employ this guy..real quick before Sony do. Very Cool...
kraken613 Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 I saw this awhile ago. Hes done alot of cool things with the Wii. Im sure hes been picked up by someone!
onewheeled999 Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Does anybody know when they're gonna do something on the Wii that incorporates the DS? I know they kind of did that with Pokemon: Battle Revolution, but it was minimal and optional. I'm talking about how when the Wii came out, they promised that it could work like a DS Download Station at a game store. Anybody know details?
kraken613 Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 O MY GOD! I just played Brawl! My neighbor got an inport Wii and got SSB and Wii Fit. It was amazing! He is my new favorite person on earth! Im going to go over and play some Smash!
Angry_Gumball Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 I'll wait to play mine "legitly." Hehe... Totally looking forward to this though I'm afraid that it will interfere with my finals as I have them in March. Well, 1 month away now and counting! (Could have had it Sunday if some people didn't slack off on our version..)
kraken613 Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 ^ I know docent Nintendo suck sometimes! Not often but at times! We will have to play online when you get it! I know i'm getting it on launch! i'm going to be Brawlin! Does anyone have questions about the game or stuff for me to check on?
chmilo24 Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Wow, if you say or type , Brawlin, one more time I might just cry on how white some people can be. Sweet, can't wait for my copy, hope it doesn't get pushed back again.
kraken613 Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 The Mario Kart Wii boxart and logo has been confirmed! I really think this game will be the best online for Nintendo! Brawl will be awsome but this is going to have so much more! I really hope it dosnt come out soon because ill be playing brawl too much to play this game! Source: http://gonintendo.com/?p=35729#comment-1750129 EDIT: I was so excited I forgot to resize the pics! opps!
coastercrazed49 Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 The only problem with the Wii is to make it fun you need to buy the Steering Wheel or the Perfect Shot for your Wiimote. You should be able to buy a package that comes with a Wii, Steering, Wheel, Perfect Shot, and other accessories.
onewheeled999 Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 ^^ Oooh. Schweet. That's gonna be on my must-buy list when it comes out.
