Milkchan
I was just wondering which coast has the best Amusement Parks and roller coasters. Could Someone give me an answer? Put pro's and con's of the coast.
smallish
Well, the west side has two classic woodies both named Giant Dipper, and one of them is REALLY awsome. Magic Mountain rocks too. And Disneyland has some great rides (including Indianna Jones Adventure, which Disneyworld doesn't have:lolr:).
GeorgiaDawg278
The East has got some of the most insane rides, Top Thrill Dragster, Kingda Ka, Superman: Ride of Steel, and Millenium Force. Parks: Cedar Point, SFOG, SFGA, SFGAdv, PKD, and a bunch more.
Carnage
For me the east gets it just out of pure volume. The "west" for all intentes and purposes is just California. There's really nothing in between California and the midwest. While the east coast is just packed with great parks.
Milkchan
One of the main clashes betweenn East Vs. West is Cedar Point and Six Flags Magic Mountain Mantis Vs. Riddlers Revenge Batman Vs. Raptor Superman Vs. Dragster Goliath Vs. MF or Goliath Vs. Magnum Psyclone Vs. Mean Streak Colossus Vs. Gemini Ninja Vs. Iron Dragon Cedar Creak Mine Vs. Gold Rush Which do you think have more of an advantage? post your answers for the Clashes above.

HCOSurfer90
East definetly. You have awesome parks like CP, SFGadv, SFOG, DW, SFNE, Knoebels, Hershey, IOA. As well as the coasters: KK, Nitro, Superman: Ride of Steel, MF, TTD, The Hulk, DD, EE, and soon to be El Toro.
pgathriller
I will have have to go with the East. The west has some awesome parks but the East have more of them. They have great coasters and my favorite theme park, Cedar Point.
alpengeist04
Sorry west coast, but the east coast has you beat on this one. Actually, it's not even close.
Movieguy
I have to lean towards the East Coast for now, because they just seem to have more in volume. But, I still want to see Magic Mountain one of these days... I might even make that my vacation trip for this year
Meteornotes
I've lived in both places, and the East crushes the west coast both in quality and quantity of coasters. dt
ECZenith
It's not really a fair arguement. The East Coast has much higher numbers than the West. While the West Coast does have some great parks, there just aren't enough of them to have a lot of GREAT parks. Plus there seems to be more classic, original amusement parks in the east that you don't really see out west.
colossus
when its snowing in the east and all the parks are closed. i can still go to sfmm kbf & disneyland while everyone on the east coast is snowed in.i would have to go with the wild west on this one. imo the best rides in the west are x,ghostrider, goliath, riddlers, scream, silver bullet, xcelerator, colossus, medusa, batman, deja vue,viper,roar,v2,desperado,speed,titan,texas giant, superman krypton coster. the list goes on and on
Milkchan
East closes parks for winter, west keeps parks open year around that is an advantage for west. But open all year round means its harder to inspect and fix up rides that is why you see parks in the West have less reliablity than th east. socalMAN123
I love socal, but the East coast has way more coasters than us! Major parks: DL, DCA, USH, SFMM, KBF, SWSD, PGA, SFMW, SCBB, BP Overall, not that great. ---Brent

ShannonSomerville
I would have to say that the East Coast rocks, but that could change for me in a couple of years. SES

Last time I checked, it never snowed in the southeast, where the East's equivalents of those parks are. You just made an awful arguement for the West. Jeezus Juice
Agreed, the east absolutely crushes the west. There is nothing california has that florida doesn't do better. Heck, Sheikra alone owns half of SFMM at least! Now I'm going to be slammed for being 'unpatriotic' or some crap... -Deezy
PhishyBrewer
^Trader!!! Why don't you move out east with all your Bush supporting friends you damn bastard. I thought we had something special Don. I feel so used.
DerekRx
Yeah, the East wins with more quantity and quality, but then again the East doesn't have to build to accommodate earthquakes and that Californian lifestyle. If you make a coaster with too much airtime, you could lose your cell phone, and then you won't get that callback from the casting company. I still like the West coast's selection, especially SoCal, and try to visit at least once a year, but Florida's selection is far superior! Too bad all the good wood is either up north or way down south!

Milkchan
The east coast does have the best B&M Inverted coasters. Also have more coasters that goes above 200 ft than the west coast.
