socalMAN123 Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Hey everybody- I was at DLR with my sister and two of her friends yesterday. It was semi-crowded even though we spent most of our time in DCA. Oh well, onto the pics. ---Brent 8) We end the night with snow! Look, over there, it's the Pumpkin King! I love this ride Freakin big ornament Kenai: Why are you on my head? Koda: WEEEE! I'M ON CRACK! Oooo, pretty colors Wow, for four people we sure do eat a lot The new sport of Ferris Wheel Surfing Relax, the wheel stopped Swinging action! It's now time for the section "Fun on the Sun Wheel" Here's the little tree in DCA that is probably taller than the castle Mmmm, sourdough ToT looms over Hollywood Pictures Backlot Hehe Holy crap, watch out! It seems peaceful enough "Rawr, I'm big bear, now GIMMIE SOME CANDY!" Here's the new sign outside of Disney Animation Hehe, I love Tower of Terror The sign in front of Monsters Inc. is finished Let's get to know each other: Kalin, Leanne, and Chelsea.
Louise Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Great pictures Brent! I still flatly refuse to believe you're only 11 when you write so intelligently and type and spell better than most of the adults here! Â Bet you enjoyed spending a day with the girls huh? Â What was the foam in your hair from in that last picture? If it's supposed to look like fake snow it's a pretty poor imitation on Disney's part! :?
robbalvey Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Wow! That was a really great TR! Everything Lou said is totally "spot on" Â --Robb "Any TR with random chicks is cool with me!" Alvey
CoasterCrazy Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 ^Robb, aren't those girls too young for you? Â I find it hard to believe that a 11 year old is posting TRs of this quality! Â Keep posting the great TRs Brent.
niiicolaaah Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 ^Uh oh, Robb likes photos of random 13-year old girls!! Â lol... just kidding 8)
niiicolaaah Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 ^Robb, aren't those girls too young for you? Â Darn you. You beat me by mere seconds. ::shakes fist::
socalMAN123 Posted December 19, 2005 Author Posted December 19, 2005 Wow, I'm flattered at all of these comments. Thanks everyone! Brent "they're sophmores!" Shenton 8)
Luxo Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Koda: WEEEE! I'M ON CRACK! Â It's good to see our 11-year-olds are informed about drugs Nice TR!
Coaster Palooza Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 ^Okay, so 15-16 year old girls, might be better? We all know Robb digs the young ones. Â That is a great Trip Report.
SharkTums Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Great TR! Â I'm also glad it was 'elissa friendly' eating at Burger Invasion!
coasters 4 me Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Wow, Great TR! Looking forward to more! Great pics!
CoasterCrazy88 Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Nice TR Brent! Â I'm glad you had a good time. Â Antonio"I look forward to seeing you in January or February!"G.
Hattuchili Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 I agree with all the others here, it is really a good Photo TR for a 11 years old guy! It looks like you had a great time at DLR, with three chicks on your side! Please keep that good work coming!  --Sören
AznShortBoi8021 Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Great TR. It looks like you had a good time. *insert immature joke here* At least its good to know preteens are well educated about the effects of drugs.
mcjaco Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Any TPR that includes "GIMME SOME CANDY!" get a thumbs up from me!
tinkerbell Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Great TR! It looks like you had fun. Â That snow in the last picture kind of looks like soap bubbles.... :?
socalMAN123 Posted December 19, 2005 Author Posted December 19, 2005 ^It was soap bubbles. Kinda cheap considering Disney quality. As in famous quote of the lady next to me during the fireworks, "This snow is so fake, but for Southern Californians, it's real. I mean, we haven't seen anything else!" ---Brent 8)
pianojohn Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Great TR and pics! Anyone know how long the 50th Anniversary will drag on? I am hoping for a trip out to LA in the Spring, and I imagine Disney will milk this thing for as long as possible. Â Thanks!
tinkerbell Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 ^It was soap bubbles. Kinda cheap considering Disney quality. As in famous quote of the lady next to me during the fireworks, "This snow is so fake, but for Southern Californians, it's real. I mean, we haven't seen anything else!"---Brent 8) Â Wow that is pretty cheap.... But I guess if you haven't lived anywhere outside of California and you don't go to the mountains, then it's about as much snow as you're going to see.
arrowfanman Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 The snow is just foamy soap, and really is quite a dissapointement--however, since when has anything in Disneyland been real? They're trying to create the illusion of falling snow, and this material pulls off the effect acceptibly. Nowmachines dont quite pull off that effect. Â But I was dissapointed--I was expecting real snow! Â Â Anyway, great TR! I like how you just broke all these age-stereotypes! Go you! Â -Jahan
Meteornotes Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Good pics. And it's impressive that at age 11, you are able to put together words in a far superior manner than many corporate executives... Â Dave "and I would know, considering some of the stuff I've had to edit!" Thomas
America Sings Freak Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Hey Brent, when Chelsea was on the Sun Wheel the picture you took of her totally made her look like the terminator, except she needs a metal line down her face. Oooh she shouldn't be walking around looking like the terminator at a Disney theme park they might take her away to Universal. But I thought you were grounded when you went :? Hey why didn't you invite me Oh i get it you don't want it to end up having me chicken out around the girls like at ASB
zaneymon Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Awsome TR i so want to go to a theme park soon
Erik Johnson Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Man, Leanne and I really want to experience the Nightmare Haunted Mansion someday (we saw Nightmare Before Christmas on our first date). Since it seems that it will never come to Orlando, I will have to go to California or Japana to experience it. They have the same snow/soap machines at Disney/MGM in Orlando as well during the Osborne Light Fest...which was pretty cool.
