Hilltopper39 Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 I'm goin to Orlando over Christmas and can't decide which park to visit. I've done IOA a few times in the past couple years. Besides that I havn't been to Universal Studios since the opening weekend in the Opening year!!! Havn't been anywhere in Disney since opening year of MGM studios, and have never been to Sea World. So where should I go. Not necessairly lookin for most coasters, but best park for a full fun day (but coasters and thrill rides are always nice ). Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone
Wes Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 Universal Island Gardens of Magic Animal EPCOT Studios.
benzo41190 Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 I agree, if you want to hit 100 credits in one day....that is the place to go.
DATman Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 ^^It opened???? Â Â Man, I NEED to go there!
Hilltopper39 Posted December 15, 2005 Author Posted December 15, 2005 Hahaha real funny, real funny. Allow me to restate my question, I have one day to go to one park in Orlando, where should i go besides IOA because I have been there before.
Wes Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 I agree, if you want to hit 100 credits in one day....that is the place to go. Â What about the Wisconsin State Fair?
benzo41190 Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 oh yeah! Â I forgot they are expanding there locations. I think that there will be 23 around the world by the end of next year
SharkTums Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 To narrow it down for you I would say choose between:  Universal Studios MGM Epcot  Of course if you have the money I would say grab one of those $100 one day WDW Park Hoppers and do MGM & Epcot in a day!
socalMAN123 Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Go to Universal Orlando. It would be a good idea because of Hulk and Dueling Dragons. Well, depends when your going. If you're going next spring, go to WDW because of EE. ---Brent 8)
momo1tx Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 He said he's already been to IOA. Â I don't have much experience, only having been to IOA and WDW, but Universal Studios looks like it would be good to visit.
downunder Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Busch Gardens Tampa is an hour away but that has the most credits on offer, they have some quality too like Shakira and Montu.
Hilltopper39 Posted December 15, 2005 Author Posted December 15, 2005 Thanks everyone, I'm probably leanin more towards Universal Studios or MGM, although mission space, Soarin, and Test Track are hard to pass up.
shepp Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 If you haven't been since opening year, I'd go for USF above BGT...MIB, ROTM, and T23D are all quite yummy...much cooler, IMO, than the overrated Test Track...but hell, I even enjoy Twister...
pianojohn Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 I vote for USF, but I would get there EARLY especially if you are going Christmas week. The crowds will be insane everywhere. Get there early, do the stuff you want, get an Express Pass or two, then take your time strolling and sightseeing while the hordes descend on the rest of the park.
alpengeist04 Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 I'm a big fan of IOA/USF, so I say go there.
YoshiFan Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Agreed about the crowds at USF. I was there Christmas week 2003, everything was 90+ minutes (even Twister). Men In Black and Shrek 4D were 150 minutes each. I used Express passes but without them, I don't think I would have went.
Hilltopper39 Posted December 15, 2005 Author Posted December 15, 2005 Trip is set, going to be in Orlndo from December 24th hrough the 28th. Staying at a hotel across from Pleasure Islnd can't remember it's name sounded nice. Just gotta pickmy park options. Think I might try a park opper ticket for a few days and try to fit in Magic Kingdom Epcot and MGM. You all think those three parks are doable that time of year in 2 days?
Scaparri Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Yeah, I would say MGM and EPCOT would be pretty easy to hit in one day. If you were to miss something, you could go back the next day, and then spend the rest of that day at MK. I love all three parks, especially EPCOT, but I would find it difficult to spend an entire day at any of them.
