SharkTums
They're doing a 2012 Europe tour and I'm pretty sure Spain is in the itinerary. Unless I've missed something, it is not. Exactly. Spain is not on the TPR 2012 Trip. Spain will be it's own trip again in the future. If I had to guess when we'll be back, I would guess 2014 unless something amazing gets announced for next year. Zoidy
Hey all, I'm a big PortAventura fan and I am following the progress every day. Thanks alot for all the pictures! Synkope
Why would anybody be responsible to keep people informed about a coaster construction? Are they charging for it? I'd like to believe everybody has better things to do. It is truly amazing to see how a coaster grows up, but let's be serious, we're watching how they're placing piece by piece and it's so weird. I don't think American people don't care about what happens in Spain or Europe. In fact, they've visited a lot of times European parks... The question is: are you interested in what happens in America? Let's be fair.

rollin_n_coastin
In that last group of pics, is that hat on the drop tower supposed to be crooked, or is it just my imagination? Being the huge drop tower fan that I am, always good to know good and valid reasons to avoid them Hopefully, when we see more progress on the ride, seeing the potential for it not being a 'modern/ standard' B&M layout will definitely get this ride more attention I'm sure. egiptologo
Yes, the top of Hurakan Condor is a bit crooked for theming reasons...
Dragon Khan
In that last group of pics, is that hat on the drop tower supposed to be crooked, or is it just my imagination? Being the huge drop tower fan that I am, always good to know good and valid reasons to avoid them I LOLed at that, Jason. But believe me, there's no chance you can avoid this one if we visit together one day. It IS my favourite drop tower because of its combination of height / tilting seats. No chance to chicken out like on SFNE's and KD's this time Back on topic with B&M's hyper/giga 2012, let's keep our fingers crossed so they both deliver a good airtime filled ride. If not, well, ther's still almighty Khan to ride (for me) and Behemoth (for you) to enjoy. As for Shambhala, interesting things start to appear with the bottom of the first drop, as well as some scarce rails for the entrance / exit of the "carrusel" have been installed today
brisingr25
Yes, today some more pieces are installed (photo from PAC): Actually are only the lower parts, but soon we see how will be the new skyline PD: Sorry for my english, the education in Spain is not awesome
GeorgeT
I guess all the people who show loads of interest in this coaster must admit that we are getting MANY updates and pics with LITTLE progress...and it`s nearly the same angle all the time...so really no one (!) should wonder about the little resonance from the not-spanish members ! This update is another good example, unfortunately...
RaptorBoyASU
Hurrakan Condor is my favorite drop tower of all time. I probably rode it like 10-12 times during our time there. I was TERRIFIED every single time too. That stand up floorless tilt is insane.

coasterfreak101
That's exactly what I've been saying! I love watching this coaster go up, but I can't comment every time there's an update because, well, they'd all say the same exact thing!
Dragon Khan
Suggestion: If I were bored (which I'm not) with the daily but slow updates (progress has been very slow at first indeed, but the pace is better now, although not lightning fast), what I WOULD do is quite simple: I would read this thread less regularly. Every other week for instance. I would then have more progress to observe and would be happier. It's as simple as that. Just an idea, though As boring as those updates may seem to some (no criticism, I respect those who think so), maybe the intention of shooting same angle daily pictures has a purpose: stick all those pics together in a fast slideshow to create a kind of timelapse of construction. I remember this being done for other coasters like raptor for instance. Maybe I'm the only one to actually enjoy the daily pics. Yet I'm no Spaniard. I confess being a big fan of Port Aventura, my favourite European park, though

Yes, everyone enjoy this timelapse I put together. If you scroll through it really fast you can actually see the coaster train flying off the top of the lift hill! BeemerBoy
^ That's a nice look at it, but I'll see your timelapse, and raise you THE FUTURE. SPOILER: There are plenty of pictures of this thing already completed right here.
RollerCoasterSmi
@BeemerBoy That is one of the best comments I have ever read (the spoiler part). I keep on checking out this thread, but there are no really exciting pictures. With Leviathan, Verbolten, SkyRush, Swarm, Wodan etc. we had close up pictures, all we have here are pictures from really far away. Nothing really to get excited about. Bryce232
Americans... How about this. What if you guys didn't post several pictures of the same view every time one new track piece or one new support is built? It would be much better if you waited it out for something that's actually worth looking at. If you could not post any more pictures until something significant happens (like the entire helix being built, or a camelback, or the entire drop), you would get tremendous amounts of feedback. Just my 2 cents.
ernierocker
Americans... I'm only going to say this once, this is not a Spanish vs. American deal or some unfair bias. Quit making that accusation as it will not be tolerated on this board.
ernierocker
Okay, I was partly responsible for getting this thread off-track so I apologize for that, but let's try and move on from this. I know the locals are excited about this project and they have every right to be. No one on here is going to knock you for your excitement. We just ask that you guys be more selective in the photos you post and actually wait until more significant progress has occurred. As long, as you post the same photo over and over, you will see people complaining. And no, they shouldn't have to avoid the thread for two weeks because their complaining hurts your feeling.
