megametal
For new visitors to the park, it's a hell of a time trying to find the entrance to Screamin' Eagle. Who the heck decided to put the entrance at the back of a game area? Is that where the entrance always was? I do like the mural or whatever it is that's on the ground right at the entrance though. The one of the eagle.

The original entrance was down across from the bathrooms and the theater lawn seats. The original entrance queue house is now empty and pointless. prozach626
I don't see the Eagle going anywhere anytime soon. They have been keeping it well maintained, paint and all. Yeah, that's like St Louis getting rid of the Arch. The Eagle defines the SFSTL skyline. Only an Act of God will remove the Eagle from our park. Well, since Rolling Thunder was scrapped, Colossus is getting Iron Horse treatment... I am kind of worried about this ride. Let's just hope it will stay there for a very very long time. Rolling Thunder wasn't needed or admired as much as Screaming Eagle. It was very much over shadowed at that park.

The original entrance was down across from the bathrooms and the theater lawn seats. The original entrance queue house is now empty and pointless. I think the logic behind moving the entrance was to try and make the ride easier for handicapped riders to get to the ride. The ride was built before ADA was passed, so no ramp had to be built. The entrance in the current location is easier to access as it eliminates the steps. The exit can't be modified into a ramp because there isn't enough room to make make a shallow enough grade for a ramp. I came to this conclusion based on this statement about access to the Screamin' Eagle found in the Ride Safety and Accessibility Guide Ride Access: There is not an Alternate Access Entrance, please use the ride entrance. Does this mean handicapped riders must go back down the entry way/queue to exit the ride?

piedude81
Alright guys, if you could have anything you wanted for the park in 2015, what would it be? I would personally like to see the area behind Skyscreamer and Tidal Wave to be developed into a nice and compact Gerstlauer coaster. Something that packs a punch. Maybe 130 degree drop? Water coaster Where would it go though? I wouldn't mind getting rid of Tidal Wave, if that's where it would be going. I can't really see the Log Flume going anywhere, and it just seems logical to use it as a sort of "upgrade".

I know that SFGAm bought Little Dipper to protect the valuable history. I'm just worried about it being replaced by something that doesn't deserve the history value of Screamin' Eagle (eg: B&M wing rider)

I would like to see the area where the go carts are be developed into a new small themed area. Maybe a Wild West theme with a nice flat and a kids coaster. I think that three rides (including boss) and a restaurant would make for a good little area.
Geauga Dog
IIRC the go-carts are where the Skycoaster is next to Boss (right?) and I'd rather see them expand the Britannia theme into that spot as it is a more unique theme idea than another Wild West area. The Britannia area is pretty poorly themed. Outside of Xcalibur + The Boss' theming, the rest of the area does not have any thing at all. How about they fix that for 2015 (with a eurofighter replacing the go-karts ).
Grant45
I would really like to see the boss either get a compleat topper track or I-box treatment in 2015 the coaster has so much potential. The bosses line could also use some work.
SFZIP
With 10 weeks to go until opening day here is a little park update...ground work (basically plumbing) is going on for Tsunami Soaker (all of the Hannibarrels, all of the facade around the ride and the Airbrush shop that was next to the ride across from Outpost are all completely gone). I don't believe that any of the ride is at the park yet and I wouldn't expect the ride to open until sometime in May (what the planned opening day is I don't know). Other changes happening for 2014 include - J.B.'s Sports Bar and Grill is replacing Villain's Cafe next to Mr. Freeze, menu should be basically the same, but the restaurant will contain a lot of TVs, a full bar and a complete decor change (see what SFNE, SFGAm. and other SF parks have already done). Looney Tunes Main Street Market (big main shop located in front mall) is being remodeled/updated. Most of the other park changes have to do with admissions and have already been discussed before. SFZIP
Let's just say I know, also the food and merchandise changes have been on the new website since it was put up, so it's not really some unknown news, if you want to dig into the details. They're also going to be fixing up B:TR queue as well, right?

They did do a great job with the SFNE location by Goliath. Of course, people will still complain about prices, but it's a great environment to eat and relax.
