  1. I'm so jealous of all you people with the money and time to visit amusement parks
  2. I haven't posted on this forum in forever, but I came back to pay tribute to DD. I remember getting the book that started my obsession with roller coasters when I was 8 or 9 years old, and DD was featured prominently on the cover. My first trip to Universal was during the HP construction, so I didn't get the chance to ride it then, or see the full glory of the original queue. I did finally get to ride it 2 years ago as the Potter shell of its former self. My coaster enthusiasm has faded in the past few years as I've grown up and had my time consumed by real life, but this still feels like a gut punch.
  3. Hi everyone! Been a while since I posted here, but my family and I will be taking a three-day cruise on the Disney Dream in Mid-March. What are some of the must-do things on the ship?
  4. I was so pumped to ride Hades in 2012... boy was that a mistake. The worst coaster I've ever ridden. I wish I could have ridden it back before Mt. Olympus' lack of ride maintenance killed it.
  5. This. Most of, or at least some of these rides in the concept art are likely to be placeholders until the official rides are announced. I somehow doubt that the Hulk coaster will make it into the final park, but I think it's a safe bet that we'll see Harry Potter come to Beijing. As far as the JP ride goes, I think it might be a possibility given that the new Jurassic World film comes out next summer. They could be waiting on the Chinese box office sales for the film before they decide on whether or not to add it in.
  6. Rock and Roll Roller Coaster. It's a bit rough, but it's still a fun ride.
  7. I am missing out on something with the new "Nina Kleppe likes this" thing?
  8. I would revive the Intamin Blitz coaster. I wouldn't revive the old school Premier coasters with OTSRs. I would murder Vekoma. Everything about them. Death.
  9. I do agree that Justice League was a good addition. It's fitting for this year, and I'm looking forward to trying it. It's definitely better than a Boomerang or Superloop crap. It sets us up really well for a large coaster addition in 2016. I'm just saying, we really do need a thrill ride next year. Something big, something unique, and something to get everyone back into the park.
  10. Alright, after seeing this years announcement, I'm really hopeful that we will be seeing an RMC redo on the Boss next year. SFDK got Superman. SFMM is getting Iron Colossus SFOG got Dare Devil Dive. SFGA has gotten Goliath and X-Flight. SFNE is getting Wicked Colossus. SFGA got Zumanjaro and Green Lantern recently. SFFT has gotten Iron Rattler, 4D Free Fly SFOT has gotten New Texas Giant + tallest Skyscreamer in the world SFM got Iron Medusa La Ronde hasn't gotten much. SFA actually hasn't gotten much. Great Escape... actually desperately needs something, but they just... won't. And our lovely home park of SFSTL. We are one of four parks in the Six Flags chain that haven't gotten anything major since 2010. Six Flags has a contract with RMC to only build their Iron Horse creations in Six Flags parks (domestically), and in return, they have to spend at least so much $ with RMC per year. 2016 is our year. I swear to god if they avoid putting anything in 2016, we will be tied with SFA for being more neglected ride-wise than any other Six Flags parks in the US. SDC has gotten Outlaw Run and is getting a brand new family area, eating away both our family demographic and our thrill-seeker demographic. The addition of the B&M Wing Rider at Holiday World is just another way HW is starting to take up our park goers. SFGA can boast TWO major additions since 2012. And Worlds of Fun is most likely getting a coaster next year as well. If any park is in desperate need of a major addition, it's Six Flags St. Louis (actually, so does SFA... but I'm sure they're unhappy too). I think 2016 is our year. I desperately hope so. I think Justice League looks great, but it's not enough. I truly believe 2016 is our year, and if it isn't... I give up.
  11. Both of those areas are quite hilly and underdeveloped. It's possible, but I don't think that it would be an easy task (especially behind Boss).
  12. Honestly, I don't think we need one. The Mine Train is a classic and families in the area love it. I think that the Mine Train, the collection of kids flat rides, and the Log Flume are more than an adequate amount of things for kids to ride.
  13. Given that flyers aren't the new hotness anymore and the age of your source, I doubt it. But that does sound like an interesting idea. .
  14. It was down a lot of last season because they needed a part but they fixed it up and every time I've visited this season it's been up. Yeah, it's actually been fairly reliable since the fix last season. I don't really see it going anywhere for a while, but who knows. I wouldn't mind, as I'm not really a huge fan of Excalibur. And as for 2015, I'm gonna guess that we're getting something in the water park, probably from ProSlide. I'm gonna doubt that Iron Boss is on the table, but maybe some last minute decisions will be made. Dave, if you're reading this, I'm telling you: stick it to the man. Let's get ourselves a world class attraction. Just kidding, it's gonna be terrible.
  15. I'm gonna say no they won't let you do that.. I would check the fine print on the coupons, but I would guess that you can't.
  16. ^They could just be stating that this is a thrill ride intended for older audiences.
  17. An ARM/Larson drop tower would go great in the area that used to occupied by the S&S Supershot!
  18. Very nice. As someone who's a chicken when it comes to haunted houses, your experience sounded terrible. Remind me never to go there. Also, I have to mention, your video link scared the HELL out of me.
  19. No, they don't have a promotion with CM. They do however do ticket packages that combine Cardinals tickets with Six Flags day tickets.
  20. Six Flags St. Louis is in desperate need of a signature steel coaster. I personally think that either a large hyper or a mega-lite from Intamin or Chance would be great fits, providing the park with something to draw tourists from outside the area.
  21. When did CP start offering night ERT for its guests? I haven't been for two years, but I still never knew it was added.
  22. If the ride hasn't been sold for scrap by 2017, then that's a possibility. However, I'd much rather see Mr. Hart invest some money in an RMC version of the Twisted Twins and a rideable version of T2.
