  1. Dude, I think you would end up breaking your neck... Seriously though, things like launched flying coasters would be a hard thing to do when considering rider safety. But then again... it would be a new category of credit. A DEATH CREDIT! I would like to see a "Strata-Hyper" if you will. Something over 400 ft tall that still does something with its insane height and speed.
  2. The ride itself isn't that bad. Painful? Yes, but bearable if you get in a brace position. The layout could also be worse... right?

  4. I think the reason more SF parks haven't gone with Eurofighters after Dare Devil Dive is because of capacity issues. Yeah. I feel like Eurofighters typically make a good fit for a small park that want a thrill ride on a budget. Since they're a small park, capacity really isn't an issue. However, with the new sixteen person cars, hopefully capacity will become less of a problem.
  5. Agreed! I could also see some sort of Zamperla flying coaster going there. The last thing SFSTL needs is a Volare Sorry, I have no idea what they're like other than that they're compact and a flyer.
  6. Agreed! I could also see some sort of Zamperla flying coaster going there. I've never ridden one, so I can't say that I would actually want one though. On the other hand, I think the park really needs a solid family ride besides the Mine Train. It's gotten considerably rough over the years. I wouldn't mind seeing it replaced by a Vekoma family coaster like the Freedom Flyer at Fun Spot.
  7. Wow... Every single time I see one these reports of the less glamorous Asian parks I'm astounded. It's just so different from the world of coasters I know. Then again, the entire world is so much different than the world I know.
  8. 2013: Outlaw Run - SDC Boomerang - SFStl (home park) 2012: X-Flight - SFGAm 2008: Evel Knievel/American Thunder - SFStl (home park)
  9. How could you even compare this to Banshee? Track length is not the crucial factor that affect the length of the construction time. Considering this is the first of its kind, I think it would be reasonable to expect the ride to take more than your typical rollercoaster. Who knows? Like I said, first of its kind.
  10. Aberdeen - Cage The Elephant
  11. I guess "hotwiring" makes sense because it was a powered coaster... I don't know. I can't imagine how scared I would be if I took that credit opportunity. Doesn't matter, got the credit!
  12. Thanks for the info! It's always cool to get some actual news along with all of our ramblings about Iron Boss... But yeah, moving the carousel sounds like a nice thing to do. Could we assume that the area could be used for a new flat? Also, it sucks that you can't ride Screaming Eagle. You'd think that someone would have changed that by now, but hopefully they'll fix it one day so you can ride again!
  13. Huh. Never knew that about hydraulics.
  14. I would assume that the ride was built around said hydraulic system that created the tilt, so if any of the hydraulics went, the entire ride would cease to operate. I can't say that I know that for sure since I don't know anything about the ride, but that's my educated guess.
  15. Yeah. Even if there is an awkward Wild West theming in a section, hopefully it will be ugly enough to warrant removal in 2015.
  16. At this point in time, I have to say Intamin. The past few years, B&M haven't innovated as much as Intamin. And frankly, I just struggle to find "fun" B&M rides. In my limited experience, Intamin is much more forceful and much more fun. But maybe one coaster is all I need to change my mind.
  17. What is the theme for the the AT at La Ronde? I think the theme really isn't important, but the execution is key. Personally, I'm hoping it just makes the area of the park much nicer.
  18. I don't have a problem. You're the one who seems to get upset over everything I say, when often I'm just voicing my opinion. It's actually pretty comical how you choose to pipe up on almost every one of my posts. Kudos for being predictable. Congrats. I don't like you either. Stop letting the internet upset you. How about getting back on topic and you can act like an adult and ignore my opinion if you don't agree with it? Or are you going to continue to clog the forums with posts of how you don't like me? This attitude is going to stop RIGHT NOW. Make another post like this and you will be banned from TPR. Understood? Play nice or go find another playground. Thanks Robb. It's time to get this thread back on track.
  19. That's actually a really cool idea. We could use a system that allows the positions of seats to change throughout the ride allowing even crazier forces.
  20. Yeah, this park would do great with another high intensity woodie, and I think both GCI and RMC are both capable of making a kick-butt ride. Uh... Also, I guess I'm the 2000th post. SUCKERS!!
  21. The only thing is that the riders are forced to sit there on the launch track staring at the sun ...Tunnels?
  22. I wasn't calling you a gay basher. It's more of a metaphor, you know? I was saying that it's okay to be against something and say what you'd like to say, but being a jerk to a group of people or a group of people representing a group is NOT okay. And right now, you're being a jerk. From now on, I'm just done with replying to you. When you stop making posts that are demeaning to others, I'll gladly respond. Until such time, I will not respond, and I hope others will follow as well. I'm sick of feeding the ego behind your personality. Besides that, let's all try to have a good time! We're not here to argue, we're supposed to be a community sharing a common interest, right?
  23. I agree. It's like being against gays: you can be against it all you want, but being an ass to gay people because they're gay is wrong.
  24. I would disagree. While it is certainly painful at this point in the ride's lifespan, that doesn't mean the ride is complete garbage. It has an interesting layout, and I don't know of many coasters like it. All it needs is some TLC, whether that means a retracking, better trains, or a RMC overhaul. I've never heard of this 5-year plan. Mind elaborating? DON'T STOP BELIEVING! Seriously though, can't we talk about multiple things at once? I don't mind dreaming, talking about current park news, and discussing realistic 2015 attractions/additions in the same thread. Just bring up whatever you'd like to bring up, and we'll start a conversation. Okay?
  25. Thanks for the update. This is a stupid question, but how did you get all this information?
