I don't think anyone has mentioned Jeffrey Siebert is now GM(?) of the Texas region and over all the TX parks.  Sounds great to me.

According to what I was reading in Southern California, they fired the park presidents at Knotts and Magic Mountain and the whole chain is going to run without full time management / park presidents at every single park so a few were promoted to regional managers while the rest were asked to go part time or let go completely.

"Six Flags lays off Knott’s and Magic Mountain presidents

The president positions are being eliminated at all 27 amusement parks in the chain, according to Six Flags officials.

I heard most park presidents were offered a pay cut or severance.  Most took the severance.

So we are still Diamond Elite VIP blah blah members. I've kept it because it was locked in for such a good deal. Received this email today. It doesn't mention dining at all, we currently get 2 meals and a snack. Does this mean they are simply doing away with dining for the memberships? Or am I reading that incorrectly? Just trying to decide if we hold onto them for now or are better off switching to the new passes.

To Our Diamond and Diamond Elite VIP Members,

We are pleased to inform you that, starting Jan. 1, 2026, your Pass will grant you access to all legacy Cedar Fair parks. You will no longer need to purchase the All Park Passport. Combined with your access to all legacy Six Flags parks, this means you can visit more than 40 parks throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

This new benefit joins a growing list of incredible benefits you receive as a Diamond or Diamond Elite VIP member.

You also receive:

Major discounts on food, beverages, and merchandise

Free Bring-A-Friend Tickets on select days - Free Preferred Parking (at participating parks)

Skip-the-Line passes - Haunted Attractions Pass each visit

Waterpark Exclusive Seating

And much more! Plus, you will receive a free All Season Drink Bottle to fill up with your favorite beverages whenever you visit!

We’re excited to see you,

Your friends, and family at the park!

That's how I would read it.

Are you able to add the All-Park, All-Season Dining Plan to it on a Legacy SF website?

Not that I can see. If I log into my membership account there are no add-ons available at all. Unfortunately, I think this is going to necessitate a call to customer service to confirm or I might just run by the park one day.......probably easier in the long run.

Then pending the answers I will have to decide what is the better deal. Preferred seating at the waterpark I don't care about and frankly I don't buy enough merch at this stage to feel like that discount is worthy of consideration. Preferred parking is nice but hardly a dealbreaker and the drinks package if we have to do separately is really not that expensive. I guess it comes down to the food and whether we get that or not and if not is it worth it to keep the memberships. I'm not sure if it is just badly worded or they are being purposefully ambiguous.

And actually upon a little more investigation, it appears they haven't even updated the member portal in 3 years. Great.

Not to steal your thunder. Their communications have typically been poor and out of date.

but

Did I hear somewhere they just reported bad financial results and Zimmerman has resigned?

I agree about the communication problem; it's why I am definitely not looking forward to a customer service call but I'll give it a go anyway. Would actually be nice if multiple people called so we can see if there is any consistency on this issue.

It has been announced that Zimmerman is stepping down at the end of 2025. Whether that was planned after the merger was set or strictly a result of the worse than expected earnings report or a combination of the two I really don't know. Perhaps someone on here has more information.

No worries about stealing my thunder, I think we all have enough hot air to hash out several different topics at once 😉

So for anyone who wants to know:

1) Called corporate. Waited on hold for about 15 minutes before it forced me to leave a message with the promise of a call back. Doubtful that will happen but hopefully, I will be wrong.

2) Called SFSTL where I had a conversation with a truly very nice and helpful guest relations woman. She was sympathetic but stated that they themselves have not been told about the food issue and as far as she knows SF has not decided on that issue yet for the memberships. She suggested that I use the chat feature on web site because then she would get a record of it and be able to pursue it with corporate.

So, 3) I did that. Twice but was never able to connect to a live human despite being on hold on the chat waiting for one for 45 minutes. Although I did get an email from the same person I spoke to yesterday this morning. So I wrote a response that she can hopefully then pass up the line about how basically it is bs that they are announcing the changes without knowing all the changes, etc, etc

This may all be completely for naught but as a troublemaking former social studies teacher that has more time on her hands than ever before I will continue to fight the man until I get an answer of die from exhaustion. Stay tuned.

I'm double posting this on SFSTL  thread since it's my home park and the SF corporate thread for maximum audience in case anyone else finds out anything.

just to note:

I purchased a brand new Gold Season Pass during the sale, and added on Dining Pass, and drink pkg.

at the recommendation of someone *who would know* I did NOT renew my current pass, but instead bought new passes, and we will activate those later this year.
was informed that was "the safest way to do it" to ensure that any renewal didn't override my current pass and wipe out our current dining plan (which is with all park add on).

so yeah, different situation as we have passes, not memberships.    but the solution might be to just buy a new membership?  or keep the current membership, and buy a new pass?, and then in 2026, cancel current membership?

...or their FAQs. It's important to know there will be no blockout dates in 2022.

Yeah, that's my dilemma; what to do? On the other hand what is the worst I am risking by waiting to see what happens? Just the sale price, probably not that big a deal in the long run.

that will make a difference tho.

as right now, during the sale, all park pass is included.  (that's a savings of $155 each).

there is very high likelihood that tho the add on will be steeply discounted?  there will still be a charge to add all parks to pass/memberships once this sale is over.

just my take on what I heard about it.

This isn't helpful but non of the Cedar fairs park and a meal plan like what you have on your pass. So they might change it to the all season meal deal or just cut it all together would be my thinking.

Hope they get you figured out soon.

Do we think if you get a new gold pass say at cedar point but want to go to Kings islands winter fest that as long as you activate it, that it should work at any parks from now till the end of 2026?

Also do we think all parks will have apps or at some point the app will just be a six flags app that you can toggle between parks. I am not trying to fill my phones memory with theme park apps. Would be nice if it worked like the website where you can select a park just from a drop down.

Legacy Cedar fair parks all have online activation.  Buy today and use at any park you want.

I personally think the APP will be included until it's dropped next season.  They will offer a single park only silver or similar at some point but gold/pres will all have the app 'for free". All previous memberships of any type will include all parks for free.

Passes will be same as always. $5-20 increases every month or three until next August.

Just my guess. I know they want you to think it's some huge deal including the APP but I doubt it really is.

Horrible roll out of 2026 changes but that's Six Flags for you.

The fine print on the screens to buy all parks passes, including legacy CF parks, states "You must activate the 2026 pass at your home park before it will be valid at other parks".

Yes and you can activate it online at your home parks site and use it immediatly everywhere, I have already done that, Cedar point is my home park I activated it and used it at Darien lake the same day. No problems.

With the new 2026 pass, not a 2025 or older pass?  I know that's how it worked in the past, but they have deliberately added language saying "must be activated AT your home park before visiting any other parks" to the purchase pages for the 2026 passes.  I mean, with all of their other website "mistakes" it wouldn't surprise me if it was wrong, but that IS what it says.

A 2025 or older pass that is renewed is automatically activated for 2026, no need to go to your home park. That also worked with my daughters renewed pass.

Yeah, that's renewals, which isn't what @thepoint4life23 was asking about.

Ok, maybe I don't understand the question. I upgraded to a 2026 prestige pass from a 2025 gold pass, activated it online and worked immediatly. I am in toronto this week and went to wonderland yesterday (and will be going a couple days) and it worked just fine, . My daughters renewed gold pass, also activated online and it works. only the season fast pass and meal/drink plans are not active for legacy Six Flags parks if bought at a legacy Cedar Fair park and vice versa until 2026 . My fast lane, meals/drinks and 15% merch discount (need my shwag) worked fine at Wonderland. Prestige perks are only valid at your home park until 2026, I know, because I tried to use them at Darien Lake and Wonderland.

Basically what your saying is  anyone getting a 2026 pass that wasn't a pass holder before should be good at any park the rest of 2025 and all of 2026.

My parents are gonna get a gold pass next year as its just a dumb deal to pass up as we spent 2 days a cedar point this year and comes out to the same price as the tickets they got.

I was just gonna have them get the pass from the Cedar Point website and go hopefully in October with them, but if not wanted to do winter fest at Kings Island, just trying to keep them from getting denied at the gate.

Yes, I would buy from a legacy Cedar fair park as they have a better web system and all the CF parks have online activation. Just be aware that free bring a friend and prestige pass vip parking and vip areas are  only good in 2025 at your designated home park and good for all 2026 at parks that have the vip experience.. Again went to wonderland this morning and all good.  They will not be denied entrance ay ANY SF or CF park.

We were talking about NEW passholders, that didn't have a previous pass to be renewed.  For those people, the language on the website makes it sound like you need to activate the pass AT the "home park" it was purchased from before it would be active at any other park.  Every scenario you just described were renewals.

@thepoint4life23, you really should just call the parks in question.
