I'm picturing that they'll bring in lots of tall bamboo to cover the sightline. They already use some tall bamboo in the area.

Wait, I am getting so confused. Is Rockit open at all during HHN? I will be out there the 17th but only during the day, will I get a ride?

Rockit will not be open for any HHN event nights, but will be open during the day for day guests.

It's not that bad. JP's entrance/exit is steps away from where that photo was taken. If you're going in that direction, you're already leaving JP and if you're going the other way, you won't see Hogwarts at all.

There really haven't been any major problems with Rockit for the past few weeks, minus a few minor breakdowns and switching out of trains, etc.

 

You should have a 98% of being able to ride it, don't worry!

The last two days Rockit has only had a 20 minute wait in the middle of the day, so if you're wanting to discover some secret tracks, now is definitely the time!

The Orlando Sentinel says no HRRR at all for HHN this year. Thanks Universal. Bang up job. Why would they open it during the day and close it during HHN? seems like it should be the other way around.

Why on Earth does everyone feel that this ride should be open during HHN and have such an attitude about it!?!? You're suggesting that a Universal Studios ride should be closed during the normal park operating day and open for a special Halloween event at night geared towards houses and shows? Most people don't even go to the event to ride rides!

I was at EAS yesterday and talked to some guys at the Mauer Sohne stand(awsome guys, they gave so much info!). As far as they knew, RRR would be open during the Halloween period. It could be close during the night if they want to work on it though.

I know someone said get the Express pass. But on a Sunday night before school, do you think it would still be necessary to see all the houses?

I am from Texas, so forgive me for asking, is it also necessary to buy Express passes for Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure too? Or should I be ok, going in the daytime for the weekend of Oct 23-25?

It is open over the Halloween season, just not Horror Nights.

Don't know if it's been said before, but I could for sure see one good point for not opening HRRR...it's a distraction...with their scarezones and what not how would it be atmospheric to have a coaster car with bright colored lights zoom by and distract from the scares...

Distractions are perfect in scarezones, makes the actors jobs much easier!

Agreed--a large, lit-up attraction like Rockit would detract from the Halloween atmosphere. Rides like Men in Black and Revenge of the Mummy are a better fit for Horror Night.
