Allena.k.a.Alan Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Cool stuffs. Can't wait to see it being finished.
JT3000 Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Cool stuff cutebutpsycho96. The only thing I am enlightened about is really how there is no more room for expansion and everything is laid out nicely. Potter is pretty much boxed in unless they start sacrificing backstage areas, but there are still several places for the park to expand elsewhere. Especially in JP.
Snicket Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Yeah, there's still a lot of room for JP or Toon Lagoon to expand. It would just make behind-the-scenes operations less convenient and some stuff would have to be moved off site. Still, there's more possibilities than you might think.
Shellemonster Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Specifically, I was referencing expansion for Potterville because that's all I could see on the map. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough.
King_K. Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 I was a little bored and made a little comparison with how it'll look when adding the concept art and conceptual models I have. They have room to expand..if they tear down Sindbad and use that employee parking lot behind it. Other than that, I don't think they would be able to expand.
HatetoFLY Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 ^I think its just a matter of time before they expand the land and demolish sinbad. Whether it be for Harry or not I dont see it lasting more than 4-5 more years. I will be out there tomorrow to get some pics and hopefully see rockit testing while I'm there.
King_K. Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Facade pieces are being fabricated and getting prepped to be moved over to the HP construction site. Here's a few of them being fabricated over at the Nassal Construction Site. More previous updates and further info at http://www.wizardingworldharrypotter.com/
Guest Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Just don't freak out over what's going to happen in the next couple of days.
Lenaapple1974 Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 ^^^ Why, what do you know? You shouldn't say things like that. The sharks are restless!
Homeboy23 Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Just don't freak out over what's going to happen in the next couple of days. Here comes more heartline jokes.
HatetoFLY Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Small update from today June 1, 2009 New paint and touch ups abroad continue in the Lost Continent
HatetoFLY Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Update from today June 1, 2009 Today I was not lucky enough to see any testing. I didn't stick around to wait for a possibility either since crews were in full force all over the site today. Paint touch ups, wiring on the evac towers, landscaping, new fences, new walkways, new concrete, and work on the queue and station. I saw more people on site today than ever before. On a side note, I think this has already been discussed but the queue for the attraction will be completely outdoors, from entrance to loading. Most of it will be covered but nothing will be inside. I was able to see the queue through door openings on both sides of jimmy neutron. And from what I saw nothing will be closed in either.
PCW_Nut Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Great pics.... I thought there was a good chunk of queue inside...guess I thought wrong.
netdvn Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 As much as I think the coaster itself is very sexy, I can't help but get the feeling that it doesn't really suit Universal's surroundings much. It might look much better once everything is in place, but so far it sticks out a little too much... - Dan "Next I'm gonna compare IOA to SF" - Nguyen
knottslover77 Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Looks like from here on out we will be able to see the process going on more! --Jay
Shellemonster Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Check out the last picture from HatetoFLY's update, that structure on the right side top of the building where the clock tower will be. (I haven't seen it posted here so I'll mention it, the concept art has been changed from having a generic building on the right side to having that be the clock tower.) It appears that the building is being designed to be viewed from that upper floor area on the inside. Interesting...
Lenaapple1974 Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 I love all this stuff! You are all awesome for taking the time to put it together. I sometimes feel so lost with the construction, and while I see the pictures, my mind just can't seem to comprehend everything yet. The construction walls keep my mind from realizing what it is maybe... LOL. But really... any which way, it will all be fabulous I think... I keep saying that, but this THEME PARK really makes me just want to get lost inside it all. As far as Sinbad, I finally got to see that last year. Nothing special that is for sure. I feel like there is a wasted space there. It definitely can be put to better use.
Lenaapple1974 Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Those were some pretty cool views. Thank you! Now, anytime I see pictures of the trains... it always seems like it is a picture so cropped, the quality is just shot... is this the case? Is it that far away from where everyone is catching the photos that the pics are eh?
HatetoFLY Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 ^The train is sitting in the station, and where it sits its very hard to get a decent picture of it from either side of the station. Plus my camera sucks.
dragsterfan420 Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Is their any information on the songs that will be playing on the ride? I know the genres (hip hop, country, rock, etc), but what specific song(s)?
