The Knott's Berry Farm (KBF) Discussion Thread

P. 651: Montezooma's Revenge project terminated?

Recommended Posts

As far as their next coaster it would be great to see a hyper, however I don't really think there is the necessary room to fit a hyper coaster in without taking something else out. I would hate to see the park haphazardly throw a hyper in there ala Silver Bullet. My guess is that the next coaster is going to be something much smaller, that can actually fit in the park without requiring them to bulldoze half the park.

Like I said before. Take out the rapids that are not fun anyways...maybe take out a warehouse or two backstage...plant some trees...BANG, you have adequate and nice looking room for a hyper.

I don't think the bulldoze Bigfoot Rapids solution would work because directly across the street is a residential neighborhood. That's the reason CF had to put the 'barn' structure on the last curve of Pony Express, it is to prevent excessive noise. Imagine the screams a dive coaster would produce in that area.

Although I don't like the ride, they shouldn't remove Perilous Plunge because at least it is unique. Although they could remove Boomerang to fit a ball or El Loco coaster, they really need to build their ride arsenal.

I have not been to Knotts in a very long time (I live in Virginia), so if that is what you think, I will take your word. If that is the case, I say they need something from B&M to really make their coaster fleet world class.

Is this the post to which you refer? If so, yes I managed to read all of it. Still, I'm confused as to which part of it makes my response any less relevant.

I have not been to California or Knotts in 13 years. Now do you understand why I did not know they had a B&M?

If you are going to comment on what coaster a park should build next, and you haven't been in a long time, may I suggest you look at RCDB.com before you do so? You will not find me on a KD thread suggesting a floorless B&M...like, say the Dominator. OMG I have never been to KD, how did I know you had one??

I am detecting a bit of a mean tone, I am sorry if I offended you by making one mistake. As for rcdb, considering last time i visited that site, my computer crashed (not blaming it on that, but I am playing it safe), I don't really visit it at all. Next, look at Busch Gardens Europe, they have 3 B&Ms, it never hurts to have more than one.

MOD EDIT by larrygator: Enough of this out of the two of you. Please drop these little back and forth attacks and get back on topic.

Ahhh, I didn't think about replacing Boomerang. Also, since it is on the backside of the mine-ride, if they built a new coaster there, they could maybe have it go INSIDE the mine-ride on some parts. That would make for a VERY exhilirating ride! Ingenius!!!

That will never happen. Honestly doesn't even sound that fun though.

I'd like to see the park take out Wave Swinger and replace it with a Starflier, and put some more flat rides back in.

Sorry bout the little fight. Anyway, I believe a park can never have enough B&Ms, look at Busch Gardens Europe for example, they have 3 and may even get another one to replace Big Bad Wolf! Considering Knotts only has one, that from what I have heard is not the greatest, it would really help them out if they got another one. Specifics, a 170 foot tall, 7 inversion, B&M Floorless.

I've ridden 6 B&Ms and have yet to experience a great one.

Although none of those are hypers or dive machines

If KBF got a B&M, it'd probably be a mega coaster since it's easier to build those over things, that would be a welcome addition for me. Though I havent ridden D'Back or Behemoth, those two dont look very impressive to me at all, of course I havent ridden them so I could be wrong, but it seems like the world class mega coasters (BizarROS, and Ex Ge) seem to have a mixture of airtime and transitions.

So your more of an Intamin Fanboy (for lack of a better word). I am assuming you live on the west coast. The east coast has the better B&Ms by far like Nitro, Sheikra, Time Machine, Kumba, etc. Just another reason for Knotts to bring a nice B&M to the west coast.
