JJnCFL Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Thanks so much for the updates, living vicariously through the pics! Can't wait to experience it on my next visit to DCA!
Hilltopper39 Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 That opening crowd is ridiculous! Glad I wasn't there that day, but for DCA's sake I hope they keep it up!
Double0Kevin Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Thanks guys! These updates were easily the best coverage I've seen of the events. I can't wait to get down there tomorrow and check it out myself.
BeemerBoy Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Great work, you two! And thanks for the side story of the Red Car Trolley creation. Great touch.
larrygator Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 David - adding photos of the original Red Trolleys from the railway museum was a very nice touch.
DJeXeL Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 GREAT coverage! The Orange County Rail museum is a nice touch to the photos.
printersdevil78 Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 That was incredible! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
ernierocker Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Amazing job guys! That picture of the kid on his dad's shoulders among the hordes of people is awesome!
coasterkid21 Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 This park really does shine now. I really do need to get a visit in someday. That crowd was just huge however! I hope it dies down soon. I couldn't stand being around all of those people without freaking out or doing something along those lines.
sfot11girl Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 I love the new DCA! The one time I went, I wasn't very expressed, having grown up always visiting WDW. But, I love the new look and the trains are so awesome. Cars Land looks like it is a big hit and it brings out that Disney magic I didn't feel last time I went (May 2009). Time for me to plan a trip to Cali!
cfc Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Excellent report, David--I also liked seeing the real Red Car. DCA is definitely worth visiting again, now that it's ceased being "Disney's Construction Area."
gisco Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Great report but I think I will wait for the crowds to die down before I visit.
coasterfreak101 Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Those crowd shots...I think I might break down and cry being surrounded by that many people. It's like walking around New York City but times eight. Congrats to you guys for surviving!
Meteornotes Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Thanks for all the awesome coverage! Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. I will have to be sure to visit DCA whenever I finally get to CA again... dt
CorkscrewFoley Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Wow! I am thoroughly impressed with the transformation of DCA! As for Radiator Springs, words can not describe how blown away I am. Oh, I love the museum too. Oddly enough, it was mentioned by Sheldon in last season's Big Bang Theory...
exmouse Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 So Racers has had queues of 4 - 5 hours. But what have the queues been like for Mater's Junkyard Jamboree and Luigi's Flying Tyres? They both look like they have much lower throughput, although I suspect a lot less popular.
scbt Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Wow, those crowds are crazy! Props to you for dealing with it, if it was me, i would be curled up in a fetal position on a bench.
willh51 Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 That looks amazing. The theme park is definitely better than the second movie!

sspaz1000 Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 David and Spears, fantastic fantastic report. I've LOVED all three parts. It's brilliant. I now want to get back to DCA. But thank you guys for giving us amazing coverage of this event.
Inukaza Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 First thing I noticed is that Bob wasn't wearing his name tag. :< Thanks for the update, DCA really looks amazing.
cas93 Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 DCA looks amazing!! I'll be defiantly going back there sometime this year to check it out in person. Thanks for the report!
cfc Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 DCA looks amazing!! I'll be defiantly going back there sometime this year to check it out in person. Thanks for the report! There's no reason to be "defiant" when you definitely go back to DCA.

I usually don't make mistakes like that.
