gerstlaueringvar Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 That's really cool! Have to admit that SLC's look indeed nice.
Nrthwnd Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 ^ "look" being the operative word, here. Great shots of Heide Park, Hanno. Been a long while since visiting, for me.
cfc Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 ^Dont they always look better when you can barley see them? ^They look even better when you walk past them and head to a better ride. dt Both are correct statements.
DJeXeL Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 My favorite coaster shots are of Intamins inverting. Thanks for sharing as usual.
cfc Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 So photogenic, yet so painful--like a coaster dominatrix.
Meteornotes Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Yes, this is one of those rides where looking at pictures of it is the better experience. dt
gerstlaueringvar Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 It certainly needs some lap bars or OTSR's with vest harness. At least it's in the same category with SLC- Looks great.
Hhappy Posted January 24, 2014 Author Posted January 24, 2014 From the 2010 middle America trip Six Flags Great America Iron Wolf
Meteornotes Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Rode it once. Not one of my better life decisions... dt
Barge84 Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 The only coaster that I've been stuck on for more than a couple of minutes. 45 minutes on the lift hill, with that bicycle seat placed in a not so comfortable place. Good riddance, Iron Wolf.
cal1br3tto Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Yay, Middle America Trip. No yay, Iron Wolf. (Actually, I did enjoy Iron Wolf a little. But it's no loss.)
willthegolfer Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Iron wolf to Goliath may be among the top transitions for a park space in history.
cfc Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Iron wolf to Goliath may be among the top transitions for a park space in history. Yeah, I have a feeling that Great America is getting the better of this deal. Great photos, though.
Blue Turbo Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 I remember the first year I went to SFGAm I really liked Iron Wolf for some reason, rode it four times that day. The next year when I rode it and thought it was terrible, I literally have no idea why I would have enjoyed it the first time.
gerstlaueringvar Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Iron wolf to Goliath may be among the top transitions for a park space in history. Along with Windjammer to Xcelerator! Great photos! Is Iron Wolf the most painful B&M stand up coaster?
Mrlittle Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I liked Iron Wolf and I'm not a fan of stand ups. But then again, it was my second stand up to ride so I didn't know any better.
DanM64 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Great shots as usual, Hanno! No love lost for Iron Wolf here, either, or really any stand up for that matter. It used to be fun a long, long time ago. After about 2000 it turned into one of my most hated coasters anywhere. PAIN!!
gisco Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Stand up coasters are just not good to me. Same, Just not a fan either.. I would rather watch them then ride them.
Hhappy Posted February 3, 2014 Author Posted February 3, 2014 TPR trips are fun.. and when you look around.. there's always something funny to look at or talk about years later.. funny hats on rides weird faces folks having a blast
Blue Turbo Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I can't wait for my first TPR trip this summer!!
jray21 Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Is that Soupy's long lost brother, or just a odd picture of Soupy?
Nrthwnd Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Hmmm. Several possibilities with this one... The brakes are shot, and they can't stop the coaster. He is having a Major Anxiety Attack. He is having the locker scared out of him. He just likes to cry. On any coaster/flat. Pick one of The Above. Or make up your own caption!
gerstlaueringvar Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Or he's a credit whore trying to scream as loud as he can on a kiddie coaster? By the way, what ride is that?
