Garet Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 There's been some new ones since then and some updates to all the old ones, I love the jurassic park rapids and star tours sim personally... they are looking for 700 likes before they release the next Sim so if you're a fan of the site please like its facebook page : http://www.facebook.com/RideSims
ImagineerJohn Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Ridesims has released 5 new simulations this year: Test Track 2.0, Splash Mountain , Air, Rock n Roller Coaster & Maverick. They are more complex than normal simulations and are recommended for true coaster enthusiasts who know what they are doing! Here
coasterbill Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Maverick is a lot of fun to play, thanks for sharing this.
dippindotsguy8 Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 These sims keep getting better and better! I love the new Test Track.
SingleRiderCam Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 If anyone hasn't been using Ride Sims very recently, Ripsaw at Alton Towers has just been released and it is very fun using manual mode (only if intensity is at max).
GCI Wooden Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 I tried it out and I must say it's pretty fun! Some of the rides I can't figure out, but it's really fun!
Garet Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Wow the Matterhorn Bobsleds one has so much going on in it: http://ridesims.com/simulations/matterhorn-bobsleds/
jimidarudenu Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Wow the Matterhorn Bobsleds one has so much going on in it: http://ridesims.com/simulations/matterhorn-bobsleds/ This is an understatement. I've only been operating one side of the mountain, as it's super difficult as is. I've been trying to give it a whirl over the past few days, but I keep running into a cascade, which, I assume is their word for stacking. The instructions clearly explain the goal of clearing a cascade, (quickly move all sleds through the station after resetting the emergency stop...) but the explanation stops there. The lift stops working, and I can't figure out how to advance the carriages though the station. Anyone have any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

The steps to resolving this and returning to normal operation are: 1. Use the arrow key to designate which side you are resetting, and hold 'r' until it says "System Restarting" 2. Click the "Reset" button located just left of the E-stop 3. With the trains in the station area, move two to the maintenance track, and move other available trains to the storage track 5. Enter the block control panel and switch to manual 6. Click all the lit red keys one at a time to reset them. You may need to wait a few seconds to select each block because trains need to move out of the way. 5. Restart the lift (switch is near the entrance and single rider line switches) 6. Bring the remaining trains into the station until you have at least 8 there, and two on the maintenance track 7. Reopen the block control panel and switch to 'normal' 8. Resume operation
LuminousAphid Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Just played this for way too long... it's pretty fun but gets repetitive. I like the Space Mountain Mission 2 sim, Helix was annoying trying to run 3 trains without messing up the launch blocks and having to use launch reset
Paradox Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I thought Helix only has two trains in real life.
Cj1990 Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I love the Matterhorn bobsled, Cars, and Splash Mountain. Such a fun site
viking86 Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I thought Helix only has two trains in real life. Nope, it has three trains.
Cj1990 Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 I keep thinking it would be cool to see an Indiana Jones Sim and an X2 sim on their site to play. With Helix, I always leave one train in station and when I need to take one of the trains off the main circuit, I just swap trains. The one in the mechanic bay for the one in circuit.
Garet Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 Seems like the site will close down very soon according to twitter so play the sims you enjoyed now while you can.
TheCoasterKid211 Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Seems like the site will close down very soon according to twitter so play the sims you enjoyed now while you can. WHAT???
SixFlagsAstroworld Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Seems like the site will close down very soon according to twitter so play the sims you enjoyed now while you can. Oh come on! I just discovered it 4 days ago! I was about to make an account. Are there any other games like this?
Lameformer Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Saw this thread, went to the website, and now I'm addicted
Cj1990 Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 This really bums me out. I don't understand why they don't at least stay open to the idea of selling it to someone who wants to keep it open.
TheCoasterKid211 Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 Well, it's official... Ride Sims is no more. The website is boarded up, and if you go to the address, it shows this: RIP
SixFlagsAstroworld Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 Well, it's official... Ride Sims is no more. The website is boarded up, and if you go to the address, it shows this: R.I.P. I really didn't want this to be true
coasterkid124 Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 It would have been nice for a reason as to why they are shutting down. Not just a "This is the way it has to be. The developer would be affected." I would be much more understanding if they gave an actual legit explanation. It's pretty selfish just to close down and take the sims away from everyone. It would be like Robb just one day saying "Alright guys, I'm shutting down TPR tomorrow. Get your last posts in."
DoinItForTheFame Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Well, it's official... Ride Sims is no more. The website is boarded up, and if you go to the address, it shows this: But I wasted so many hours of my life on that site!!!

It would be like Robb just one day saying "Alright guys, I'm shutting down TPR tomorrow. Get your last posts in." I don't think it's selfish to do that with their own property when they put in so much time and effort for a free service. I think like when the TPR tours stopped due to not wanting to deal with the hassle and stupid people, Robb would be well within his rights if he just decided he was fed up of all the stupid comments that have been appearing lately on the forums and just closed the site and forums the next day. I mean it must take hours of work to moderate and run and although I really love the forums over facebook/twitter, I wouldn't be surprised if social media (outside of the forums)/youtube is where TPR gets the majority of it's hits from overall.
