Michi2010 Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 What manufacturers of amusementrides, roller coasters, thrill rides, waterslides and more are at the IAPPA in Orlando 2011?
swiver Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Literally just about every one you can think of will be there, even some that you probably didn't know existed.
DJeXeL Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 (edited) That's like asking what auto manufacturers will be at an international auto show. Pretty much every amusement ride manufacturer will be there in some form. Obviously the larger companies, Intamin, B&M, Vekoma etc... will have the larger booths. The show also has a section for food vendors (less the Dippin' Dots guys), along with companies that sell front gate ticketing systems etc..... Edited November 8, 2011 by DJeXeL
SharkTums Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 And we'll be there to give you the best coverage of the show with videos and pictures LIVE!!!!
matteocrepaldi Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 ^^ Can't wait! I've strted to save money to visit it next year!!!
A.J. Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Can't wait to go! I'm really excited to see this show in person. Maybe I'll have my first near-death experience on a flatride!
thrillrider Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 And we'll be there to give you the best coverage of the show with videos and pictures LIVE!!!! Won't have to go far this year.
Shavethewhales Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 It sounded like GCII might have some projects to announce or hint at this year judging from their last facebook post. I'm hoping they at least hint at something in the U.S., because I'm dieing to see the rumor that SDC is getting a woodie in 2013 come true.
MayTheGForceBeWithYou Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 WOOT IAAPA! I love TPR's coverage of these things. Hopefully the helicopter kiddy drop tower of WTF will be back.
LoneRider92 Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 I can't wait to see what new and exciting ideas await us this year at IAAPA. Thank you guys for providing an in-depth look of the whole thing for nerds like me. Much appreciated!
Thom25 Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Agreed. This annual show always gets me excited and hope some day to attend in person.
Teacups Make Me Sick Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Don't forget to stop by booth 2024/2224 and say hi to this TPR lurker....or just lurk ma' booth.
jjune4991 Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Does anyone know if Prince Desmond will be attending this year? I liked his report from last year.
Bryce232 Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 This is my first time going to an IAAPA convention and I can't wait! Hopefully I'll be able to see Walter Bolliger like you guys did last year, that would be a dream come true What day is TPR going to cover it??
aimster Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Does anyone know if Prince Desmond will be attending this year? I liked his report from last year. Oh that was absolute comedy gold. I hope he'll be there as well!
screaminkid2005 Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 I can't wait to see coverage of IAPPA this year! I look forward to all the live updates and finding out whats new!
xVicesAndVirtues Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Just out of curiosity...how does one get invited to the IAAPA convention? I'd really like to attend since I live in Orlando now.
AndrewRnR Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 ^ The convention is open to anyone who wants to register. With that being said, while it can be fun, it is also a professional convention where business is going on everywhere you look. The best (and cheapest) way to attend is on Friday when a discounted one day ticket is offered and the floor has a much more casual feel to it. This is my first time going to an IAAPA convention and I can't wait! Hopefully I'll be able to see Walter Bolliger like you guys did last year, that would be a dream come true Just remember if you do see him he is there for business - I've seen far too many enthusiasts over the years stick there nose where it doesn't belong during the convention (not saying you would - just making a general statement).
xVicesAndVirtues Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 ^Thanks for the info, do you know if on-site registration is offered, or would I need to register on the IAAPA website? Also, do you know what the prices are for one-day tickets?
DirkFunk Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Its a trade show and not one geared toward the public, so there really isn't a "one day ticket". There is registration which lasts for the entirety of the show. As a non-member, should you not be in ACE, the price is $309 for a pass. I'm not sure what they discount it to on Friday (which is closing day), but it is not going to be some cheap-o bargain. You can certainly register as a buyer on site. Wear business casual clothing.
AndrewRnR Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 ^ Actually there is a one day cheap ticket offered for Friday - $39 dollars, a two day for $59. Information can be found here: http://www.iaapa.org/expos/attractions/Registration.asp
Gerstlauer1 Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Can't wait for TPR's coverage, it was so great last year.

A.J. Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 I'm looking forward to TPR's coverage of the event, as well as possibly providing my own unique perspective on the show through my own coverage, now that my career goals have changed.
