^ When you get to Athens, be sure to stop and get some of that Southern Greek food on the way to the Parthenon. I've heard it's pretty good.

In just eight short hours, I will be packing as much of my life as I can fit into one car and moving it all to a little place called Athens, GA.

Hello, college!

I'll forgive you for going to UGA, but you BETTER get together with David and I to hit some parks or just come down to Savannah to visit.

Posted all over the place...

So I just got back from my cruise this week. Basically some random observations...

What I liked

- The ship is so hard to navigate. It's literally a maze of corridors and hallways. It's almost impossible to do everything onboard because it's a chore just trying to figure out where you're going.

- Carnival isn't as bad as people make it out to be.

- Food, service, shows were excellent. I loved it

- The Bahamas are beautiful!

- The Bahamas were pretty much exactly what I expected. Lots of Reggae music playing, hot climate, beautiful, lots of color, a bit touristy in some places, slightly rundown looking, etc...

- After doing this cruise, I really wanna do another one. Maybe another Bahamas trip

What I didn't like

- Everything on the cruise is overpriced. The excursions are hundreds of dollars on the cruise and $40 on land. Same goes for T-shirts, alcohol, souvenirs, etc... The stuff at the port is also pretty expensive and you have to go into town to get better deals.

- I was stuck in jewelery stores all vacation long, watching my parents haggle the salespeople into lowering their prices. It was annoying since I didn't get to do all the really fun stuff (snorkeling, swimming with dolphins, etc).

- I still feel like I'm on a boat.

- The pool is the smallest (non-kiddie) swimming pool I've ever seen.

- I'm too old to join any of the cruise ship clubs, I'm not really into gambling, and I'm too young to drink. So basically all I could do onboard was chill in the tiny, salty pool, watch TV in the cabin, or eat (this is pretty much all I did).

- There really needs to be more South of the Border billboards on 95. The drive is so boring without them. Dumpy motels and gas stations only keep your interest for a certain amount of time.

I enjoyed my cruise this week.
