I'm planning on going to Carowinds the next day...leaving early...spending a full day...then heading back on Monday (possibly start making my way back Sunday night)...could do the aquarium, world of coke...up for anything once I'm back in the area...Would anybody care to join in and split costs (e.g. car, gas, hotel, etc.) for this side venture? Also, planning on booking the hotel for the bash for Friday and Saturday...anybody looking for a roommate...let me know...two nights for the price of one if we each pay for a night.

Any SFOG locals know if there is a decent Sports bar anywhere near the park or the Wingate? There are some pretty decent College Football games that Saturday and I was gonna try to slide out mid day for a few hours and watch some.

Auburn @ Clemson

Michigan State @ Notre Dame

Tenn @ Florida

Louisville @ Kentucky

Ohio State @ Miami

Oklahoma @ Florida State

and the biggest match up of the weekend is Ross vs Goliath @ SFOG, over/under is currently 17 rides during ERT, any takers?

^ Depends on how 'close' and or 'good' you want it to be ...? the closest decent sports bars places are probably a good 15 mins away, but you could probably find a restaurant with the game on over on Thornton Rd 2 miles west of the Six Flags exit)

^yeah, you can find a few places to watch the games on Thornton Road (but more likely in the bars at places like Applebees or Ruby Tuesdays).

Down a few exits (36) in Douglasville are better options (Buffalo Wild Wings to be precise).

Notre Dame? Did you watch last week's match vs the Bulls?

Anyhoo, Gotta head back into Atlanta if you want some sports bars. Plenty of Gators downtown too

Guys, if you want to discuss sports, we have threads in the Random forum for that. Please keep this on topic.

Thank you.

Sorry, back on topic here....

Can't wait to hear what the official ERT line up is. Nothing at SFOG seems like it would be a "great" night ride, but everything there could be really fun at night, especially Goliath and Mindbender.

It's not a "TPR Hotel", it's a hotel we have a TPR rate at. You need to use the information from the email that was sent and give them a call. TPR doesn't manage this, we only helped set it up.

I have done 16 rides in a row on opening day once. My partner and I will take you on (as he would be on it the entire ERT time anyway.)

My dad was wondering if we needed a confirmation e-mail saying that you got our payment. Do we need a confirmation e-mail or do we just show up and get our tickets at the event?

Posted (edited)

^ This would probably be better asked in an email to me, as I would need the name and email address it was purchased under to look it up to make sure we have your tickets.

But if you should have gotten an email from the TPR Store staying what you ordered. The TPR Store automatically sends everyone an email with their Store Order ID # and what items were purchased.

On the Deep South trip in 2009 I skipped the Mindbender part of ERT and rode Goliath 30 times in a row! Can't wait to ride it once again...the only B&M I find to be extremely good

Yeah I think it's by far the best B&M hyper that I've been on (although I really like Apollo's Chariot). Mindbender was really good too but I don't remember as much about it from my only trip to SFOG for some reason, can't wait to change that.
