sspaz1000
We should put together a TPR Santa Claw Fund and see if we can rent it out just for us! I would totally pay for that. Since it was usually us battling each other anyway!
bostonlva
Real Art @realart @MegaReviewster Thx! We don't have plans to bring it back (yet), but next time we launch something cool, we'll be sure to announce it. in response to someone's tweet to them Re: Santa claw

robbalvey
The Santa Claw is BACK!!! (well, kind of...) It's being used as a promotional item for the Super Bowl! http://blog.realartusa.com/index.php/2013/02/grabbing-attention-at-the-super-bowl/ it's got a new look, but it's still the same claw! Glad to see it got some new life, and I hope that means maybe we'll see it return as "The Santa Claw" again in the future? Who knows...at least it's not dead! The Super Bowl Boulevard Festival just opened up, and the race is on to reach fans.Real Art was asked to bring out The Claw for this special event, with a whole new twist— as a live-only experience that can only be operated by one super awesome mobile tablet. We’re excited to be a part of Superbowl 2013. Thanks to all of our partners for asking us to play ball!
sspaz1000
Glad to see they still have the Claw! Never really realized how much I missed having fun with it this past year.
traincrossin
Ahhh, good ol Santa Claw. Glad to see it hasn't been sent to the scrapyard yet.
robbalvey
^ That was my worry! Having not heard anything from it this year, I was afraid maybe we had seen the last of it. But this gives the project some new hope!
jray21
Just looked on the website and there's no mention of it being back this year. It looks like they've been busy with other marketing campaigns, but nothing going on this season. Too bad. It really was one of the coolest things ever! YoshiFan
Hopefully they bring it back in the next few years. It was a lot of fun to control the claw from home even after they stopped sending out the prizes.
cal1br3tto
Fond memories. Winning a few times after the prizes ran out, stalking other TPR members, convos with random people, playing around with my avatar, and even the extra fun this thread provided. Skramp
^^Robb, never thought to tell you, but my brother was there with the claw in New Orleans for the Super Bowl. Verizon hired Real Art to bring it down and set it up. They bought new wraps for the machine, but same "bones" as before. I asked him the other day about it, and he said no one has rented it lfor Christmas, but they probably wont be running it again. It probably wont be around again unless someone rents it out again. On a side note, Real Art has bought a satellite to send into space and my brother is currently working on that. It will send data out that can be received. Any "geeks" out there interested, I can get you the info. PS-If you want to send them a message, you can actually Teletype a message to them and see it printed out, just like the olden days!! http://realart.com/contact.php

arby
Sorry to go off topic... Every time I see the title of this thread I can't help but think of this clip from Toy Story: "The claw is our master"
jray21
I thought it was such a great marketing tool that they would use every year. I could see it turning into a yearly tradition, and I wouldn't care at all if they had advertisements plastered all over the site while I was waiting. OH well.
