My gripe is about my birthday. Normally I don't make a fuss about it because I'm lucky anyone calls me about it... excluding my parents (they forgot to call one year, but they were wrapped up in a messy divorce).

 

I looked at my phone today and the only person that called this week was my doctor who had a virus on his office computer and wanted me to come over early before my appointment to fix it.

 

"Call the Geek Squad." was my response. The nerve. Then I decided not to go and I'm looking for a new doctor.

 

It really gets on my nerves is that the only time most people call is when they want something.

 

So I guess I'm partying by myself on my birthday because I decided not to remind anyone about it. We'll see who calls this weekend because I'm going to do some "housecleaning".

 

Anyway, I got one of those Magic Jacks to use as a home phone and I'm going to change my cell number... then I'm going to decide who is getting the new number and/or my cell phone number--won't be many.

I should have said it's on Sunday! And I still haven't heard a peep from anyone as far as making plans!

 

At least my hard drive came in, so I have something to play with tonight. After I take all the stuff out of my drawers so I can get them to the new place tomorrow.

Some stuff that really bugs me at the moment...

 

1. When it takes forever for YouTube videos to load on my crap computer.

2. When people refer to GCI as GCII. Is GCII even a company? If so, what does the second I stand for?

3. When YouTube videos become all choppy, forcing me to pause over and over again.

4. Internet Explorer - It's slow, crashes a lot, and just sucks in general. Luckily I have Firefox.

Theme Park related - SF Great America advertising their season passes on the LED board below the video screen on the Dark Knight. I can't even go to a damn pre-show that's purpose to make you feel like you are in the ride without the park wanting more $$$.

 

Non-theme park related - Someone calls the fire department and we found out there is a gas leak in our stove. The landlords response "so who called, we want to ask them questions." They did not ask if we were ok, just wanted to basicly yelled at who called.

We just got back from this mexican restaurant with a really long name that I can't remember. I didn't know it was karaoke night, so we got there and there was this guy singing into this sound system that was turned pretty much all the way up. And it was all in spanish, to make things worse.

 

I don't speak spanish.

I HATE my job and really want to quit. Too bad the lame-o economy means there isn't a decent new job to be found, so I gave up my search. I decided to tough out the BS of my current job til things get a little better, But I don't know if I can last too much longer!!

Two things for today:

 

1. I can't go home right now because my roommate informed me that they're filming some action scene for a movie or show on the USA Network outside our house. My roommate was walking the dogs and then they started shooting and fighting and his dogs went crazy! The director yelled "CUT!!! Get those damn dogs out of here!" Oh well!

 

2. My mom called me all upset; my mom needed some money to help with her finances until they refinance the house. Previously a friend of the family named "Uncle Marshall" told her that if she needed anything to call. So she did. He told her if he wanted his help (ya'll better sit down for this one), she'd have to sleep with him!

 

She's 62 and he's 80! WTF!?!! It's a bit late to be playing "Indecent Proposal!"

 

I'm going to have words with him the next time I see him.... trying to make my good Christian Mom into a dime store hooker!

Is it just my computer, or are others finding selected words in theirs (or others') posts in green, and when the cursor is put over the word(s), a GameVance ad appears?

^I hate GameVance so damn much! I had it on my pc for the longest time and it completely turned my computer into a vegetable.

There was a snake outside of my house today! It was red with a black-colored head. My Rottweiler sort of had a little stand-off with the snake. He then lunged at it, grabbed it in his mouth, and ripped it to pieces.

 

Kind of freaked me out, but I'm proud of my dog for killing it. I think he deserved the steak we gave him.

The drive-thru ATMs at Bank of America have this new cash deposit reader. Instead of putting cash/checks in an envelope, you can just put the things in their proper slots. It says the cash feeder can take up to 40 bills at a time. Sounds simple, right?

 

The cash feeder thingy simply doesn't work. You put in a bunch of bills (usually $1s or $5s), the lid closes, the machine tries to pull them in, and then it's almost guranteed the next thing you see on the screen is "We were unable to accept some of your cash", lid opens back up with most of the bills you put in.

 

Speaking of which, my Mom has informed me about how Bank of America is ripping my parent's accounts off in various ways (it seems to also be in trouble in this economy), so it's probable we'll all be switching to Wells Fargo pretty soon. Which is good because I wasn't really the biggest fan of BoA, but still, changing all my credit information for various things is gonna be a chore.

My science teacher assigned us a study guide that we were supposed to complete for the Unit Exam on Monday.

 

It's just a list of the standards.

 

What the heck are we supposed to do with that? We're turning it in, so we have to do something... They're just statements, not questions.
