ebl Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 This is pretty nit-picky, but it bugs the hell out of me when people use an apostrophe in a plural. For instance, it's not "car's," it's "cars." And words like "gets" and "lots" don't have one either! "Get's" and "lot's?" What is that? Eric "Not an English major, but should have been one" L.
jackskellington101 Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 Oh, something that just happened here that's now is really on my nerves. Ok, I'm in my room, just waking up, it's 8:00 in the morning here. I usually wake up around 8, so I'm still groggy but just awakened. Then, out of nowhere there comes... BREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE My reaction in my semi consious state::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock:, followed by wtf! Fire drill. At exactly 8:00AM! It wasn't even some body who pulled the fire alarm to be funny. It was the school sanctioned fire drill. And just to be spiteful, London nature decided it would be funny for all of these college students standing outside in the 50 degree weather in their pajamas if it just started to rain on them too. Eerg. What a way to start the day. Stuart "Good Mornin" Newsom
AllisonY2K Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 I hate being sick. Day #2 with the flu and I hate being stuck at home. I'm actually looking forward to being able to go back to work. Plus no one wants to come visit in fear of catching what I have.
ebl Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 Ever get an ingrown hair---in your eyebrow? I have one and it's a pain. Eric "TMI" L.
Mind Eraser Posted October 15, 2005 Posted October 15, 2005 I've been so hopped up on pills this past week, I can't even remember if I've posted this! Sorry if I have... I "damaged" my lower back moving furniture into my new place. I finally went to the doctor. She gave me scripts for Percocet, Flexeril, and this super-strengthed Ibprofin. She also gave me a referral to see a physical therapist, which I had to cancel today cuz my back hurt too much. So long story short, I'm finished with the Percs (she only gave me a few days supply). I have the muscle-relaxer and such but I'm still in major pain. I've already missed trips to Knoebels, SFA, PKD, and so on. Not cool. Where's my violin?!
Hattuchili Posted October 15, 2005 Posted October 15, 2005 Why want some people be sarcastic, when it is not the right moment for it? --Sören
FlyingScooter Posted October 15, 2005 Posted October 15, 2005 ^^^EBL: haven't had one on an eyebrow(that's gotta hurt like hell). I get them all the time on my arms.
Token Yankee Guy Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 F************CK!!! I'm on my roommates computer which isn't a good sign. My Power Supply blew and I mean it. I was talking to Soren and I was going to plug in my mic/headset so I could show him the voice chat on MSN Messenger, then *brrzt* sparks shot out from the supply fan and I flipped out. My computer shut down so I unplugged everything, unplugged the external hard drive and internal and inspected the power supply. There was a lot of dust and crud inside it so I must have made a ground connection for the computer. I also thing I got a slight electrical burn from it. Anyway, during my 30 minute lunch tomorrow at work or afterwards, I gotta go to Best Buy to buy a new power supply. My friend Erik said that all my hardware and harddrive should be fine. Let's hope so because I don't need to buy an entire new computer. If I did, i think my parents would help me in buying one since I need it for school work.
SonOfBeastSucks Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 (edited) I can't stand it when people are trying to take your picture, but you really don't want them to! I swear, sometimes when I go to family gatherings I feel like I am being chased by the damn paparazzi! I don't mind having my pic taken, BUT SOMETIMES I JUST DON'T WANT IT TAKEN! CAN YOU PEOPLE PLEASE ACCEPT THAT?!?!?? I feel better. Edited October 16, 2005 by SonOfBeastSucks

I'm almost scared of getting my picture taken, I literally get anxiety. And I try and tell people that, but they laugh like I'm joking and take the picture anyway. But to have a sense of humor about it, I think the first picture of me up on a any webpage was me french kissing my friend Iain while riding the Phoenix (up on TPR of course!) Nothing wrong with a little tongue action while riding the coasters! -kip-

Blazen_AZN Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 oOoOOoO how have i not seen this topic yet??? ill be postosting daily!! i HATE it when teachers think they are SOOOO much better then you, that they know so much more, and when you CORRECT them, they will say, "no your wrong", even if you know, and everyone else knows you are completely correct! i HATE it when they say "IM CORRECTING YOUR PAPERS ON MY TIME!!" i mean SO WHAT??? YOU took the job YOU KNEW you would have to do it! i mean ever heard the saying "those who can do, those who can't teach??" DAMN STRAIGHT!, my math teacher was a F***in CABNIT MAKER!!, and it doesnt help when we are considered the 'best school in LAUSD' they make it like it is because it is because of THEM that WE are smart, no, buddy, it's because we are a MAGNET school, we TAKE the smart people from other schools, so their avergae scores get lower and OURS gets higher! I HATE IT WHEN THEY DONT LET YOU USE THE RESTROOM!!! its like I HAVE TO FREAKIN PEE! momo1tx Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 I'm in a program called GT, that's Gifted and Telented Center, basically it's for slightly smarter kids (some people in it make me question this), so all the teachers say, "I expect GT quality work", and "GT students don't turn in late work", but in reality, non-GT kids take a bunch of the same classes with different teachers, so we're doing the same thing! But the teachers put so much pressure on us.

Angry_Gumball Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 2 Rants: #1: I'm driving along and I see a car move over to the lane I'm in but right on my arse. I could only see the car's black hood and part of it's headlights. First reaction, I do the E-Stop check and the car layed off. Little did I know, I had a brown-noser cop behind me. I couldn't tell because he was that close that I didn't see the rest of the car. The point of this rant is that cops are definitely no better than the rest of us drivers. They're just as bad. I'm just glad I didn't get pulled over otherwise I would have been arguing with the cop telling him how unsafe he was driving #2: I work in a DVD Transfer lab where you basically get vhs, digital-8, DV, and other film-based media transfered to DVD. Why on earth would someone spend the money to have a poor quality recording of Star Wars Episode 1 transfered to DVD when they could have bought it in the store for a lot cheaper and much better quality? Do these people seriously think that when we convert it to DVD it's going to be all DVD quality? Oh well, more money for us!
andrea Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 My rant today is people who are in a relationship and they tell they're partner that they are in love with them and blah blah blah and make it seem so believable then the next day they can just turn around and say sorry but i think that we should just be friends or sorry but i dont love you anymore and they go on with they're life while the other person suffers a great deal, it's just not right and i dont understand how people can be that way, it really pisses me off.And to stitches ex girlfriend, f*** you,you should'nt have even wasted his time, but thats ok cause he'll just find someone better
Mind Eraser Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 I'm completely frustrated! Our home network went down Monday. The tech support people have no clue what's wrong, so they said the earliest they could come out to our house is SATURDAY!! I freaked out cuz I'm slightly addicted to the internet and I couldnt go like a week without it. So, I knew AOL gave the first 2 months free; so I set up AOL for the week. Only problem is, we can only use DIAL UP, no cable! Having been using broadband for years now, going back to dial up is sooo aggravating! I would rather stab myself in the eye with a pencil than use this sh*t! Kill me, please... now.
jamez9579 Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 my roomate it such a stupid (insert expletive here)! we gave her a 30 day notice in Aug. she didn't leave in Sept. and we now have to take her to court. we have taken almost everything away we took our couches and kitchen table, we took our washer and dryer and today she went and bought a washer and dryer. she doesn't help pay ANYTHING! just runs it up my fiance' and I came home one day during summer and the ac was at 62 degrees!!!!!!! WTF?!?!?!?! Yesterday I found sugar in the fuel cell of my race car, but whoever did it was stupid because race gas is 110 octane and leaded so the sugar doesnt have the same effect. Thank you for letting me rant here
squirmy_wormy Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 what gets me is that you can be off the clock and some guy/girl will see that and come up to you and want to know where stuff is. You try and ignore them and they look irritated when they ask you the question. Like one time I had this one guy who kept following me around trying to get my attention. He wanted to know where stuff was and I had some donuts and a soda in my hand and I turned around so he could see them and me eating. I told him "I think your product is on aisle 7." And he just looked at me and said "Thanks." He looked irritated. Oh, well too bad.
Angry_Gumball Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 And that's the reason why I work "Behind the scenes" in production.
FlyingScooter Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 Oh yeah, let the chipmunks rule the world....
