Sidra
What an awesome looking park, never seen SDC depicted so great, definitely want to check it out.
BeemerBoy
I think it just needs a woodie to be complete. I've heard this so often and don't understand it. Why does a park need to have a woodie to be "complete?" Â Some of the best parks in the world don't have wooden coasters: Europa Park, Silver Dollar City, Alton Towers, Epcot, etc... But imagine if each of those had a Prowler clone.
Guy T. Koepp
^Cause then there wouldn't be one true God. And all the Catholics would be pissed. However, if you were an ancient Greek or Roman, you would be ecstatic!
BelizeIt
The cake eating contest gave me a flash back the the movie Stand By Me, and their Pie Eating contest. Â Great updates as always, glad the trip is fun as usual!
AndCamSS
I think it just needs a woodie to be complete. I've heard this so often and don't understand it. Why does a park need to have a woodie to be "complete?" Â Some of the best parks in the world don't have wooden coasters: Europa Park, Silver Dollar City, Alton Towers, Epcot, etc... Â Sure it would be a great addition, but I don't think it's mandatory for a park to have a woodie. Â Sometimes I wonder if those who say this have actually been to the park before. It certainly doesn't need one to be complete...would be cool but not necessary.
RoCo
Rockin' updates; keep 'em coming. Â (Feel like an idiot that I passed up on the Marvel cave my one visit to SDC. Won't happen again.)
1FoolishMortal
I know what the "surprise" is on Thunderation. It's a great mine train, that's for sure. Â Also, there's a CAVE at SDC?!?!??? Wow....I feel stupid. I went there in '03 and thoroughly enjoyed the park, but had absolutely no clue there was a cave underneath it. Something to do for next time I guess! Brandy524
I feel sorry for the coaster trains that have to cart those beached whales - I mean ACE members. Â Also, when I saw A$$ Blaster, I instantly thought of this: Â Â It's an a$$blaster from Tremors III: Back to Perfection!
tristtkd
Haha looks like great fun! Plus,i agree completely! A park doesn't necessarily need a woodie to be complete.
moinab
SDC is on my list of parks I really want to visit, along with Dollywood, Holiday World, Hershey, Knoebels, and Legoland FL (as soon as it opens! )
terrancew_hod
A few pics brought back memories of living in the midwest when I was in college: Â Â The last time I rode this, it malfunctioned and did the cycle three times. I could barely walk off it and people were throwing up everywhere. Ended up being a fun date to remember. Â Â I went here, ONCE. They were aiming for the black man's head on purpose and throwing them like baseballs! Hopefully they have a bit more class now. Â I personally liked the restaurant that was the home of the little round pies. They didn't throw them and they were quite tasty. Â Terry
mike_kelly
I was actually there today. relized as I was getting ready to go that TPR would be there. Was hoping to run into the Alvey's to say thanks for Club TPR.. Â Were you the one we ran into in line for Powder Keg and the train?? Just trying to put two and two together! Â Â Nope not me. Actually was only there for a couple of hours. Actually trying to make sure I am where I need to be for my 5 park adventure in 2 weeks.
Erik Johnson
TPR visits St. Louis! TPR is about to totally destroy a Pizza Hut in the middle of Missouri! Oh no! There is a private party today! Look! TPR is the party!!! Mmmmm....PIZZA!!! TPR is about to get a Culture Credit! Either that or we are riding the worlds largest skycoaster. We all have our "gay" tickets for the Arch! Who is heavier? Here is our pod up the arch...no, it's not a toilet. Clench and squish!!! You guys ready to go? Remember KidTums...it's not a potty! The inside of the Arch! TPR gets a culture credit!!! Here we are! Checking out beautiful St. Louis! Hooray. St. Louis. It's just like Google Earth! "I think I see my dad." Oh look! Moose porn!!! "Hey world! I'm in the arch. Ooh. Ahh..." Time to head back down an over to the City Museum! Book!!!! Theme Park Review has rented out a St. Louis icon...the City Museum! It's difficult to describe City Museum... It's like a 10 story Chuck E Cheese play structure made by insane welders for adults to torture themselves on! One of many City Museum's many random slides. There are tubes and chutes to crawl through everywhere. Another slide! The BIG slide! There are hidden mazes and hallways everywhere. It's like part Winchester House, part insane play structure. Outside on the roof - 10 stories up! We are totally lost in here!!! I found a way out!!! In the skate park room everything is a slide. There are random exhibits in between all the insanity. City Museum used to be an old shoe factory warehouse that has been converted. Spiral slides. City Museum is KidTums approved! This way to the cave slides. To get to the slides first you have to get through the cave! Where are the slides???? The cave slides, aka Shoe Slides are 10 stories tall and used to serve as the system to transport shoes to the shipping department. Yes, human bodies fly down these slides!!! Yup! That is a long way down!!! You kind of flop around like a rag dog all the way down! The shoe slides are one of the main attractions of City Museum. Do not miss these! Up on the roof area there is the swing of death! Push! Everyone push!!! This is completely insane! And if the swing of death wasn't crazy enough you could climb all the way to the top of the roof! Yup! You can climb up there! The instructions at the top of the shoe slides. Holy f**k! This really might be the most insane thing I've ever done!!! Well! Here goes nothing!!! OMFG!!! The sponge room was just silly. Sponges were flying everywhere!!! Look! It's Spongerobb Nopants!!! SPONGE FIGHT!!! Man down!!! Man down!!! Random organ. I made a wrong turn and now I'm stuck in the caves again! Hey! I found a secret passage! I wonder where the secret passage goes? Crap! Back in the caves again!!! Derek made it out of the secret passage! Help me!!! KidTums will come and save you TPDave! This is the only "park map" available. You need to explore and find all the cool stuff on your own. NOTED!!! The rooftop awaits!!! And yes the rooftop is just as insane as the rest of the place. Yes!! There is even a Ferris wheel on the roof! This place is just crazy!!! The Ferris Wheel is the most "normal" thing in this entire place! Hey everyone! There is a good chance tonight that one of us is going to die!!! This giant slide was amazing!!! Climb beeotch!!! Climb!!! OH! MY! GOD!!! Oh look...it's a school bus that's off the side of the building! See? School bus off the roof of the building! And yes... You can go in the bus! This is FREAKY!!! Yup...looking straight down!!! Time to chill! "Mens room!" GIANT ball pit!!! This place really is made for adults! Like someone was all "Why isn't there a Chuck E Cheese for adults that refuse to grow up?" and this place was made. I'm not even sure what this is!!! Is that an airplane??? The amount of random stuff here is almost indescribable! "I need a break!!!" TPR takes over the hamster wheel! This is going to end badly. Yup. It ended badly! Some HAS to end up injured here! Quick! Someone close the vault!!! Hey! They have a random Big Boy!!! Now let's take a break and check out the random weird "museum exhibits." Um...yeah. Displays of random stuff. BOOB CREDIT!!! Mmmffflllmmmppppp! I don't think many of is will fit through that tunnel. I don't know what this is, but it's really cool! Oh look...more people stuck in these wire things. In the skate park room, TPR took over the giant pencil! (I can't believe I just wrote that sentence.) SL108.bmp You had to be personally chosen by KidTums to sit on the top of the slide. SL109.bmp And then we all went at once! SL110.bmp KidTums chooses her next group of sliders. Slide bitches!!! Jake is dead. You can tell by the trail of nasty sweat. Time to go climb around the airplanes. Yup, these are real planes! They have converted the planes into slides and play structures. You can crawl through and sit in the cockpit! TPR's takeover of City Museum was AMAZING! One of the single best moments of any TPR trip! This place is totally insane. While it might not be a real "theme park", it probably is more interesting and more thrilling than some parks on this trip! We highly recommend checking it out next time you're in St. Louis! mightbeawannabe
The city museum looked like a boring crappy warehouse that got barfed on by a steel factory, slide complex, armory, and nondescript museum all at once! That looks like great fun...I hope you all enjoyed it! Â If only I had an string of stamina....
nrs2420
Yes, The City Museum is quite possibly the best thing STL has. I'm happy to see some really good things said about our city. Interested to see what you say about SFSTL. Really wish I could have been there with you guys.
vuurvogel
The City Museum is the best random attraction I have ever seen. I am voting for something like that here in the Netherlands. Looks like you had lots of fun.

CoasterWeasel
I actually went to the city museum before they had even completed it. It was open on new year's eve '96 and all they practically had done was most of the whale on the first floor and it was fun then just running through that building and all of its different rooms. It looks completely awesome now and can't wait to get back to stl in October so I can visit it. Wish I was there with all of you.
