SharkTums Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 (edited) Hey guys, It's been way too long since we've had an 'official' TPR Chat, so let's do one! This Saturday night (April 10) we'll be hosting an official chat. Now to the topic of chat...well, I'm sure many of you know by now that not only is TPR into Theme Parks, Water Parks, and Cruising, we're also into the most awfully amazing SyFy Channel Scinema Saturday Night Movies!!! This Saturday, is the WORLD PREMIER of MEGA PIRANHA!!!!! For those of you not familiar with the brilliance and awe inspiring quality of the SyFy Channel Scinema Saturday Movies, here is the Official Trailer for Mega Piranha: So there you have it, Barry Williams, Tiffany, and giant fish eating things like people, helicopters and missiles. Please join us at 9pm Eastern Time Saturday as we discuss the amazement we are witnessing on the screen! For those of you on the West Coast or International...I'm very sorry, and if you don't want to see any spoilers to this highly plot intensive movie you may want to steer clear of chat. Otherwise, join us, I'm sure it will be awesome! Edited April 11, 2010 by SharkTums
Meteornotes Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 EVERYONE MUST WATCH THIS MOVIE!!! Seriously, it it's as good as this trailer, it could contend with Shark Attack 3 as the greatest movie of all time. dt
Ian_D Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Is this from the same brilliant Director who brought us "Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus"?
cfc Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 (edited) Citizen Kane. Lawrence of Arabia. Neither of these films involved a mega-pirhana. But if Orson Welles and David Lean had access to such technology, surely they would've used it. "I'M CHARLES FOSTER KANE . . . OH, CRAP! A MEGA-PIRHANA HAS MY LEG!" "We have no hope of defeating the Turks at Damascus, Lawrence. They have a MEGA-PIRHANA!" Edited April 8, 2010 by cfc
alpengeist04 Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Wow, first Debbie Gibson and now Tiffany!!! I feel like I'm back in 1987. Oh and what are the odds we get a "I think we're alone now" line in the movie?
alpengeist04 Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 I have to say after watching the trailer a second time, this one kicks Piranha 3D trailer's arse.
downunder Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 It should be noted that Avatar and Titanic director James Cameron got his start with Pirahna 2, which was about flying pirahnas. What next a flying mega shark? Tiffany is way hot, she grew up very nicely.
SharkTums Posted April 9, 2010 Author Posted April 9, 2010 ^We all do!!! It's going to be epic...perhaps even Mega Shark epic!!!
Sir Clinksalot Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Hmmm, we get our HDTV feed 3 hours early and I was planning on watching anyway.
Jojo19799 Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 I'm going to try to talk my parents into watching this movie with me. I have a 99.9% feeling that Mom would NOT be interested, but Dad might!!
mcvays99 Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 That reminds me....I need to get my teeth cleaned! I think this movie should be available in 3D IMAX theaters accross the country.
jdcoffeytime Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 That looks Awesome! Count me in to watch the big fishy!
CorkscrewFoley Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 I soooooo want this movie...it's pure camp! lol My sick ass might make an appearence Saturday night.
Pingu1651 Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Personally, I don't think Mega Piranha can live up to this: I'll be there though. SyFy + Mega Animals = KICKASS!!!
Hockeydad Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 A former pop star, a Brady and Giant Piranha flying into buildings! Sounds like a great way to spend a Saturday night. ScyFy just rocks...can't wait until Warehouse 13 starts back up.
SharkTums Posted April 9, 2010 Author Posted April 9, 2010 ^I know, recipe for success if I've ever seen one!
freekeee Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 that looks amazing, wish I could watch. Nothing quite like people being eaten complete with a bloody mist.
CoasterBone Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Since my broke ass does not have cable, I expect a full run-down of this movie.
BeachKidBoy Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Actually here on the West Coast I can watch it. On my cable company I get the East Coast feed (at 6pm) on the HD channel and the SD feed is the usual one at 9pm.
SharkTums Posted April 9, 2010 Author Posted April 9, 2010 ^Great! I know with my DirecTV I get to watch the East Coast Feed as well!
