Hmm, maybe we're onto something here...

Looking at giant phallic shaped produce all day forces a male mind to overcompensate in other ways???

Overlord, YoshiFan and I are 100% sure. This isn't shenanigans (althoguh i wish it was). It will definately be an airtime hill.

And when we have the pictures of the final product, all of you guys will be like Wow...you guys were right. I am not here to post to spam the boards and provide false information.

As for the airtime hill, I am not too sure about it but as for the modification to another element, no turning back. The idea of it being retracked due to the accident does not hold water seeing that it was only the Robin side. And even you guys said it yourselves, that would be too costly to do a pair retracking.

I am really turned away here by the negativity of this thread. No one is saying you HAVE to believe us. Its perfectly fine to disagree. But when you start accusing us of lying and attacking us on our idea when there is no evidence to prove us wrong, then its getting a little carried away.

Chuck, dont even bother. If they are not interested in the topic then theres no point in trying to prove any points.

^ And he also thinks he knows everything about what's going on at his local parks!

Yup, working in a Produce department makes me know everything about the local parks around me.

Dude, you guys are taking everything way to seriously!

We're all just having fun! Come on, SFGAd fanboys were always so much better than the SFMM, CP, and even SFGAm ones! Don't lose your status now!

If they take out the zero g and put in a bunny hill, great, good for you! You're special! But you don't need to be obnoxious about it on the boards, especially when you can't back it up!

Steel Pier

Here is a New Jersey fact from someone who doesn't work in a produce department.

You still have another summer to get your Crazy Mouse and kiddie coaster credits at Atlantic City's Steel Pier.

You notice the smileys underneath my last post. All I am saying is I DO not want Chiller to lose those zero-g rolls, they were the most dissorienting element on any coaster I have been on!

Thanks Clint.

Actually, looking at those pics a little bit closer, you can see yellow flags at some of the connection points going about halfway down some of the support structure where the rolls were, as well as supports on the ground along with the track. I'd guess that would suggest a re-profile to some extent, with new supports to accommodate.

so thats why the lemon chill guy is so highly regarded, lemons are produce.. but I work in produce, when do I get this gift of " knowledge " ? Anyway, if the train kept valleying on the zero-g rolls/ in-line twists whatever, they can't really put too much of a hill. I guess I'll never get to experience an in-line twist with just a lap bar...

It's probably maintenance, Have you seen how fast that thing hits that element?

Of course because after all we are "Gadv Fanboys"...I really wish it was maintenance but oh well.

Why do you think calling you a fanboy is insulting you?

just because..... but i'm not saying you definitely insulted him.

Im not the one that called him a fanboy. I mean come on, Im Gadv fanboy but I still dont believe it at all until they have proof.

I was thinking... Run for your lives!

But seriously, how many woodies have run backwards trains over the years? Why is an airtime hill backwards with a lap bar so far fetched?

Does anybody know what the actual launch speed is through the second LIM zone?

Posted

I believe it has to reach close to 70 MPH again so it can clear the tophat and cobra roll. Thats why Batman now takes you higher up on the tower then Robin.

Posted

??? Yes, it does need to get up to near 70mph again, but remember that launch section is pretty high up in the air. Gravity plays a big role in getting the trains back up to speed.

This ride is similar to the Mr. Freeze and Speed coasters in that respect: The second boost isn't all that much, rather it's just enough to ensure that the ride doesn't valley. The amount of speed increase is primarily to offset the speed lost to friction and wind resistance.

That 70 MPH is going to be reached near the bottom between the twist and either the top hat or the cobra roll.
