mcjaco
Just got back from Lagunitus Brewing Co in Petaluma, CA. I'll post a TR later tonight. Yeah, Petaluma! My grandparents and uncle lived there up until a few years ago. Great little town. I've got a load of pics that I'll get put up in the next day. I have to wait until my wife is out, as she knows there's one of her in there which she has told me numerous times "you better not."
Steffen_Dk
I hate beer, but I drink it anyway. And I think it was a Carlsberg

PhishyBrewer
Mmm... mmm! Look what's on the menu tonight for dinner. 2 cold 22's to get me through the night. I'm going to grill up some chicken breast that I let soak in Budweiser basting sauce
DerekRx
I miss Wally and the good times we've shared back in March, so since I recommended this to him there, I figured I'd enjoy my last one in his honor. This one's for you, dude. Sorry we aren't coming out this year for the Stone event Apricot Weizen, good and apricotty
PhishyBrewer
^It's better on draft... which is 3000 miles away from you
DerekRx
^Not quite that far, closer to less than 2500 miles. Oh well, there's always next May, which I'm already setting aside vacation days for. By then the Curve Ball should be on draft and tasting good! Until then, I'll survive with local stuff and stuff I pick up on travels (stuff that people gift me) Oh, that's double hoppy and I can taste the alcohol. This may not be pretty later! Speaking of locals, lets see if the Double Simcoe by Weyerbacher will slay me again tonight!
DerekRx
OK, that double killed my taste buds, so much for tasting anything but bitter the rest of the night. That said, we'll continue with more IPAs that I've had before! As you'll notice, all the taste buds on my tongue are screaming "HOPPY" Hops Infusion by Weyerbacher, which Wally really needs to check out
FlyerACE1
Finally I have a weekend where I'm not jetsetting to drink beer and ride coasters, so I have more time to sit at home and drink beer. As promised, I'm starting off tonight with North Coast's Pranqster, a really nice Belgian style golden ale. Doh! Did I ever screw up my beers. I had Pranqster but that was a while ago. Last week I tried the Heavyweight Brewing Perkano's (sp?) Hammer which is a dark porter. Pranqster is a North Coast brew. Both were pretty darn good by the way although I'm not usually a fan of porters. That's 2 demerits for me. I'm being banished to John Harvard's this weekend! DerekRx
^Yup, thats a side effect from my transforming powers. Kind of annoying, especially when a random bird tries to make a nest there, but they usually come off while on Intamin Rocket coasters.
mcjaco
OK, last weekend we went to the local "Beer Mart" and picked up some sodas for the July 4th weekend. I think I've finally got my wife to get into trying some other stuff besides Stella Artois. Don't tell her I posted these pics! Hey Mikey, she likes it, she likes it! First sip.... My wife's first IPA. This is a local brew here, Two Brothers Brewing. This is the Dortmunder, I found the Prairie Ale better. First up for me, was Sam Adams Summer Ale. Lemon Zesty! DerekRx
Don't worry, we won't say anything! Nothing better than grabbing a nice cold beer after mowing the grass. Time to enjoy my last Hop Wallop of the case, what a better way to drink it than in the new Hop Wallop glass I picked up last weekend down at Victory. This one's for you, Mrs Phishy. Happy B-day! I could turn this guy in for a re-ward, but I think I'll drink instead Tis a good beer, I reckon
PhishyBrewer
I just pulled a Justin and had a foo-foo sangria at TGIFriday's. Ted knows what I'm talking about.
MrsPhishy
Awww thanks Derek!! Hop Wallop is one of the funnest names for a beer I've ever heard.
DerekRx
Time for another Wally inspired brew, that crazy Curve Ball he kept talking about! Check me out, I'm Okinawaboy11! Also my last one of these
DerekRx
I've put this off for too long. Its time for 90 minutes of pure enjoyment, DFH style. Time to put on my "O face" Yeah, this Imperial IPA is off da hook
PhishyBrewer
You can really taste the soda like qualities in this beer. But the after taste was EXACTLY like a pile of burning leaves. Kind of made me think of grandma's house during the fall. First up is the Root BEER Picked up the Sam Adams Brewer Patriot Collection today. Four beers inspired by our founding fathers or something like that. Trying out the wing sauce today.
PhishyBrewer
The Root Beer Brew was AWFUL!!! I had to dump it out. So I tried the next brew; Traditional Ginger Honey Ale. Really not that much better than the Root Beer because the ginger stands out SO MUCH I felt like I was eating sushi.
PhishyBrewer
Alright... that one just tasted nasty after awhile. Next up is the James Madison Dark Wheat Ale. Drinkable, if you like water. If your looking for a beer that isn't full in flavor, this is it. Strike 3!!!
PhishyBrewer
Alright... I have had enough bad beer for one day. Lagunitas IPA Maximus

DerekRx
The Indica was good for writing a PTR, but its time to savor. I think I want my birthday party to be held at Victory! The good stuff
