DerekRx
Up next is food and more drinks! Live from Victory And Heath gets the BrauMeister Pils. Now, time for more drinking and eating and less posting! Adam finally gets his HopDevil Cask back from Heath Ellen decided the Mad King was worth another beer The Throwback Lager was pretty tasty Heath enjoys the HopDevil Cask that Adam ordered Finally more beers arrive Its not spaghetti, its beef This is my Southwestern Beef Sandwich The food starts to arrive, and Adam looks confused. "Did Ellen drink all my beer?" Heath compares the HopDevil and the HopDevil Cask I stole this cheese from a mouse just to have some food Kim thinks the wings are pretty hot Ellen digs the cheese Heath enjoys the hot wings We ordered the assorted cheese tray. They gave us 4 little wedges of cheese and some bread and peppers
DerekRx
After Victory we headed to King of Prussia to see Superman Returns in the IMAX theater there. Since we were early, we stopped off for more beers at Rock Bottom, since this was a BACT attack after all, and we hadn't had a beer in a good 15 minutes! So concludes another BACT attack. Next stop, Pittsburgh! Wally, how'd you like to drive this to work every day? and I went with the Royal Weiss, which was highly banana flavored, and good! Heath needed to try the Vanguard IPA, which he liked But Heath, Kim, and myself had an add-on trip back to Sly Fox in Phoenixville With this new for everyone brew credit in, the BACT July 4th weekend attack officially ended It was a weird area, but the location of the brewery was pretty cool The place was surprisingly empty for a Saturday night. Gotta love a place that serves microbrews and sushi though! Heath and Adam went with the Krooks Mill American Pale Ale For the next round I got the Schuylkill Punch, not too bad, but I liked the Blueberry better They even had a magician to come entertain us while we waited for our food. Heath wanted the Manayunk Lager, but they were sold out, so he just got an Amber Nugget instead. Kim just watched in awe Ellen chose the Schuylkill Punch, a raspberry lager Adam and I started off with the Blueberry Wheat, which was really nice and blueberry-y Good thing I called yesterday, they had just reopened after the flooding of earlier in the week Following the movie, we all headed down to Manayunk for dinner We all enjoyed a beer before heading to the movie; me a Prussia's Pride IPA, Heath a Prussia's Pride Cask IPA, and Adam a Penn's Curse Amber They had lots of stuff on tap, as usual Chalk up another brewery credit for Adam and Ellen The mall was crowded, but Rock Bottom wasn't too bad at 2:
DerekRx
Went to Smokey Bones tonight for some BBQ, ended up drinking a Blue Moon Belgian Wheat. Unfortunately, for the first time ever I didn't take some form of a camera with me!

PhishyBrewer
^I had that a couple week s ago. It's actually not to bad. Got to drink it cold though. 40 degrees and up really effects it's overall taste. EDIT: Way to be the man and buy the tampons for the little lady

mcjaco
I've been meaning to post these for awhile. The post of the Skinny Dip reminded me. I went up to New Belgium while on business in Denver last month. Unfortunately, my camera crapped out on me shortly after arriving so, no inside pics. I sampled 1554, Skinny Dip, Blue Paddle and Sunshine. Skinny Dip was a pleasant surprise as was 1554, as I'm not terribly enthusiastic with darks. It had a nice hint of chocolate. Budweiser trucks taunted me on the drive up.... Ah the New Belgium bikes, and the last pic I got....stupid camera. Not what I was expecting, especially after entering town. Very nice building. Ah, my personal Mecca. I can smell all that is good. And good is Fat Tire!
DerekRx
After working on Monday, I decided to head over to Jersey to finally check out El Toro, as it was on my way to my friend Bret's house for some BBQing. You know you've got a true friend when he goes out and buys your favorite beer just for your visit. Later that night I had one of the Thunderhead's I brought for him Its hot, but we've got a pool and HopDevil nice and cold, so I'll stay.
DerekRx
Right now its July 4th, its hot, the heat index is 99, and we've got a pool. We had enough of Great Adventure after 1 hour, so it was back to the house for some swimming (and, of course, beer.) Ah, Apricot Weizen, this'll be good on this hot summer day
PhishyBrewer
The Weiss Ass BBQ! Back to more important stuff. GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For Germany! The finished product; pork loin and asparquas(SP?) Look what's grill'n! Gavin was fresh off the parade route. Started off the day with some Delirium. Close up of the beer botle.
DerekRx
Its hot, and I wanted to cool down with a nice refreshing root beer float, but I didn't have any root beer, so I improvised! mmm, cold and foamy Beer Float Instead of a Root Beer Float, we'll just substitute Oak Barrel Stout by Old Dominion
PhishyBrewer
Here something that Memphish gave me a while back. I think he really doesn't like me. This hefe tasted like old sugar cookies. Boulevard Brewing Co's attempt at a Wheat Beer
DerekRx
Tonight was another new brew for me, thanks to Heath. Sierra Nevada India Pale Ale. It wasn't what I was expecting it to be, not overly hoppy, but a nice all around flavor. Also didn't have much of a finishing bite that I like in an IPA. Not what I was expecting New brew credit! DerekRx
Forgot about this one I had last night. Guess I was too busy to share! Still pretty good stuff though! A Pyramid Hefe, with orange because I was out of lemons
DerekRx
Since its sunny out finally, I decided to start off the night with the new Troegs Sunshine Pils. Not a bad beer, just pretty average for a pilsner. Still good though! Good stuff though, nice and refreshing after a long day at work Troegs Pils, no Prima Pils though
FlyerACE1
Man, I got a lot of catching up to do. Still have photos from 2 weeks ago when Ellen and I visited the Gaslight Brewery in South Orange, NJ as well as my own photos from the BACT Attacks the Philly Burbs. Also, I today I felt the need to replenish the beervintory as pretty much all I have left is Pyramid stuff and wheat beers that Ellen love. Believe me, I like wheats but I was all out of hops! So, at my local beer heaven I picked up a 4-pack of my #1 IPA, Dogfish Head's 90 Minute IPA, a 6-pack of an IPA I never had (from a brewery I never had a beer from), Boulder Brewing Company's Mojo IPA (from their Through the Looking Glass series) and a collection I've been dying to get- The Sam Adams Brewer Patriot collection- 4 beers brewed in the true colonial style. Not going to crack that one open quite yet but I'll take a picture of the very awesome case the four bottles come in. No pics but some beers I've had lately: Sam Adams Summer Ale, Sam Adams Boston Lager, Dogfish Head ApriHop and one given to me by Heath, Heavyweight Brewing Company's Pranqster. Good stuff, sad they're closing up shop.
DerekRx
Welcome to the newest participant, all the way from the UK! Adam, shame on you not having your camera handy. As for me, I've still got some Pyramid AND IPA, so that's up next. I think tomorrow I'll try the Pranqster. This beer makes me excited about going back to Cali and, for some reason, Dollywood Yeah, how do you like dem apples, Adam?
PhishyBrewer
I'll be at Lagunitas Brewing Co tomorrow. Look for a PTR later in the day Friday.
FlyerACE1
Alrighty, playing catch up here. A couple weeks back, Ellen and I decided to continue seeking out NJ brewpubs not far from the new house. I found the Gaslight in South Orange which turned out to be about 20 minutes away (probably the closest I know of). Here are some photos... As for me, I couldn't pass up a Stone IPA. They actually had a few Stone brews in bottles only. Wish they had some on tap! Lambic goodness! Since the beer was average, we couldn't pass up some guest beers. Ellen had this one- Lindenman's Cassis. This was the first place I also saw Lindenman's Lambics on tap! Actually, I believe they only had the kriek. Our appetizer was a very generous sized baked brie. Delicious!! The food at this brewpub was EXCELLENT. Much better than the beer. The tables have some funky beer art. Not bad but not nothing extraordinary either. First up for both of us is the My Garden Wit. Ellen seems to enjoy it! The brew tanks are located in the front of the restaurant. The decor inside is pretty standard for a brewpub with brick walls, etc. The Gaslight is located on a very nice main street just down the street from Seton Hall University. This sign is on the back entrance.
PhishyBrewer
Just got back from Lagunitus Brewing Co in Petaluma, CA. I'll post a TR later tonight.
DerekRx
Finally I have a weekend where I'm not jetsetting to drink beer and ride coasters, so I have more time to sit at home and drink beer. As promised, I'm starting off tonight with North Coast's Pranqster, a really nice Belgian style golden ale. mmmm, tasty and not like hot dog water. Served in a Church BrewWorks glass to prepare for the trip there next week
