  1. Nice pictures! I've always thought Marine World wasn't that bad of a park, but I was a bit skeptical of the themed lands. I think we can all agree Six Flags isn't particularly known for their extraordinary theming. But I'm very impressed with the improvements. I for one am also looking forward to the new Thomas area and am happy to see a continued focus on families. I'm sort of starting to regret our decision to not renew our season passes this year.
  2. I think that actually looks pretty cool. Still not enough reason to go to Fresno, but pretty cool.
  3. ^^^ Ha! That's funny. So yeah, after seing these pictures, I'm seriously regretting not going with you. You won't get away without me next time though.
  4. Congratulations Robb & Elissa! Kristen is absolutely beautiful! Oh and I love that blue portable bassinet thing, I bet that's a lot more convenient than lugging those bigger things around. Congratulations again!
  5. ^ He means drama on the show, with Meredith's near death experience and all. The drama off screen between Isaiah Washington and TR Knight is soooo two weeks ago. Even though I love this show, I can totally see why some people don't like it. Meredith can be super whiny, Izzie can be really snotty, the doctors are so full of themselves, and the who's sleeping with who story lines can get a bit awkward to follow. But to me, the fact that the characters are flawed is what makes me love to watch.[/i]
  6. ^ I missed that. I wonder if it had anything to do with the drunken orgy pictures they posted on their MySpace pages.
  7. ^ I'm still quite stunned that the hippies weren't asked to join. Yeah, they won the million, but so did Uchenna and Joyce so they can't use that as a reason for excluding them. They'd be so much more interesting that half the other teams. I personally hate Dave and Mary. If they haven't learned yet that just because a flight leaves earlier doesn't necessarily mean it arrives earlier, then they don't deserve to be called All Stars. That so called cute naive persona just doesn't do it for me. I loved Rob and Amber on Survivor, I loved them the first time they were on the race, and I love them now. OH, and Phil. I love Phil.
  8. ^ Same with me, I can't hear "How to Save a Life" without thinking of Grey's either. They always use the best music. It is most definately my favorite show. I absolutely love it, and I go through withdrawal any time it goes into repeats. I still have all of this season's shows on the DVR, but I'm getting some pressure from the husband to delete them. He was actually rooting for Meredith to die. Yeah, right, like that was going to happen. Last night was a good episode. I love Denny and his "moments" with Izzie almost made me cry. I totally saw the thing with Meredith's mother coming but it was still good. No matter what my husband says, this is the best show on tv. I'm also looking forward to the spin-off. I know I'm in the minority, but I think it could totally work, and Taye Diggs is hot.
  9. I'd guess that among people that "like" rollercoasters, it'd be fairly evenly split between male and female. Among people that are "enthusiasts," yeah, there seem to be more males. But I think that's true of a lot of groups of enthusiasts. You also see a lot more male trekkies, video gamers, role playing gamers, etc. As far as hobbies, I think women tend to be more interested in craft type hobbies because it's more tangible. I know when I make a craft, I like that I have a physical object to look at and or use in a practical way. Something to show for the time that I put into it. I like rollercoasters, but it doesn't give me any kind of sense of accomplishment. Physically, I don't think there's anything about giving birth that affects your ability to ride rollercoasters. I think it's more about age when it comes to the physical aspect. I'm finding that I black out on coasters a lot more than I did ten years ago. I don't think that has anything to do with giving birth, I'm just getting older.
  10. Yay, I fixed it. I searched through a wii message board and found this: And it worked, so I'm back to wasting away time with the Wii.
  11. Thanks, but that didn't work. Perhaps this is a sign that I should use my day off for something other than playing video games. Nah.
  12. Ok, I'm an idiot and can't get the wiimote to work. I had to manually turn the console on, and it's stuck at the menu. The little hand thingy won't show up and if I press anyof the buttons, the four blue lights at the bottom just flash a few times. And yes, I have the main wiimote although I tried the others just in case. I've tried new batteries and it didn't help. I'm not very savvy with these game things, but I am totally addicted to WarioWare and Wally won't be home until tomorrow. Sigh. Can anyone help out a clueless wii addict?
  13. That kid was definately doing something with his arm. Look at the muscle in his arm, it's clearly flexed. I think it's very possible that he was pulling on Tigger's costume, which I would imagine could make it hard for him to breathe. It looks to me like Tigger initially tried to get the kid to let go. When the kid wouldn't let go, he swatted at his head. Here's a link for anyone who hasn't seen it: link, click on the story "Tigger throws tantrum" on the right side of the page. I've heard that the parents took the kid to the ER. Seriously, I'd love to see the doctor's notes from that one. The press will have a field day with this, but I really think that kid provoked him. I seriously hope that family doesn't get a penny from this.
  14. I'd love to go to Disneyland while it's decorated for Christmas, it looks like they really go all out and do a beautiful job. Thanks for the great pictures!!!
  15. ^Actually that one is the Michi roll. We didn't get a picture of the Incredible roll, just the incredible me.
  16. ^ They'd probably have to rename it $75+ a day, then he could do it. It's good food, but it's not cheap.
  17. Starbucks = Evil. The rest of the English speaking world uses small, medium and large. Why did they have to go and create new words for these? And for pete's sake, if I order a medium hot chocolate, just translate it for me. Don't ask me if I want tall, venti or whatever it is, and insist that I say the right word. Just give me the one in the frickin middle. Ugh. I hate Starbucks. The only reason I ever go there is because my stupid employer gives out $5 Starbucks gift cards for good attendance.
  18. Great pictures Rick and Ryan! I'd add my pictures of the wedding but my stupid memory card hiccupped and lost them all. But the wedding was fun and beautiful. They did have seats that were a lot closer, but we let important people like family sit there. Plus, we were all being camera nerds and we got better pictures of the bridge from across the water. Congratulations Don & Monica!! Hope you had a great honeymoon!!
  19. Live Rattlesnakes Released In 'Snakes On A Plane' Theater Since I wasn't there, this is funny. But if I was there, yeah I'd have had a heart attack.
  20. Awww thanks Derek!! Hop Wallop is one of the funnest names for a beer I've ever heard.
  21. NOOOOO..... How can a Yankee's fan make such an awesome video? Damn you Tinhead... damn you!
  22. Ahhh, the urinal. Sigh, memories. Great trip report! I'm a Fredonia alumni as well. It's cool to see pictures. And you were there during FredFest!! Good times, from what I remember. What the heck is that sculpture? That's new since I was there last. Did the Elicottville Brewery used to be Barker Brew? It must be because it looks exactly the same. But no pictures of Sunny's? I'm disappointed... Ok, enough rambling, great trip report!
  23. Gavin really likes him so far. He's been very gentle with him. He even let the dog lick his face all over.
  24. It's 4 am and this dog is wide awake. Every two hours during the night he was crying for someone to play with him. This is eerily reminiscent of having a newborn. But seriously, this is one cute dog. Once he gets adjusted to our schedule I think he'll be a great pet. It's really nice to have a dog again! Wally did good.
  25. Ahhhh....Louie's. The memories are all flooding back to me now. Great pictures! Commons really does look like a prison, huh?
