robbalvey
Hey everyone! Elissa and I have settled on a final design for our Club TPR Membership Card. First off, I really want to send a huge THANK YOU to everyone who submitted designs. I'm so impressed with the amount of talent we have on this website. Please, if you are interested in helping out with any other graphic design on the site, drop me an PM or EMAIL to let me know! (And thank you to those who already have!) We have taken into consideration many things we need for the Membership Card. It's needs to be fun, professional, practical, and be a design that really carries the spirit of "Club TPR." With that being said I want to send some congrats to jcrouse, jds03, and Angry Gumball who we have either used elements of your design or inspiration of your design. It was very close between these three, n7, and rcrider as to what designs we would move forward with. But the collaboration of these designs seemed to make the most sense. And now, we present you with...the Club TPR Membership Card! Thank you to everyone for your input and help! --Robb "Now we just need to put the Club together!" ghost007jas
Looks really nice, Robb! A great blend of the professionalism, and fun that has embodied this site since its' inception.
hyyyper
Wow, that looks really awesome. It was better than I imagined it to be. However, two small things: There is an absence of green, while red and blue cover a large area. The Coastertrack simply 'ends'. Might I suggest using a fade. That said, the card, as is it now is SUPER See what I mean?
alpengeist04
Looks really good and professional, great job everyone. ...I really do love that logo.
Reon
^^Are you talking about the bottom 1/3? I think it looks aesthetically pleasing with the gray down there and not green. Either way, card looks quite epic indeed! I'll definately end up buying one once we get all the club details worked out...
Angry_Gumball
Looks great, a nice blend of the 3. I do agree though about the track as it has a sudden edge, as though it was just plopped there. A soft edge or fade would work.
cfc
^ & ^^I'm not sure I agree with "fading" the edge of the track. That particular level of detail will probably just be lost when the cards are printed, anyway. The final card looks great, and there were quite a few impressive entries. robbalvey
However, two small things:There is an absence of green, while red and blue cover a large area. The Coastertrack simply 'ends'. Might I suggest using a fade. The card is done. No further changes will be made. Please do not suggest changes as the time for that ended with the voting process. The design is final. You can nitpick any card to death. We have already done that and landed on a design that we (Elissa and I) like and are very happy with. --Robb

MG
I like it! I think that it is so representative of TPR, it seems very fun without looking childish. Eventhough I only submitted a logo, not a card design, I would be happy to help with anything in the future Robb, it's just this time I'm buried doing about 10 exams. Shame the competition wasn't a couple of months ago!
Skycoastin Steve
Great job on the final design and great job to everyone who put in submissions, I know that stuff isn't easy! This may have been covered and I missed it, so apologies if it's a repeat question, but about when will the club open up for membership?
robbalvey
^ I'm going to shoot for March 1st. There is still a lot of work that needs to be done and we're just putting together all the pieces now. We needed the card design early because we'll still need to get them printed, get the final card printer here in our offices, send out copies of them to parks, etc, etc... There will also need software to be developed for everyone to register, have an account on the store with credit, build our electronic magazine (we're looking for volunteers with experience in layout and design!) and many other things. It's all coming together, but it will still be a few more weeks. --Robb
DATman
The card looks fantastic! It took all the elements from the cards that I liked and combined them in a way that looks both professional and fun.
Jojo19799
And I really do want to send a huge bucket of thanks to all of you who DO seem to respect all the work we put into this site. You're welcome. And here's a big bucket of thanks to you and Elissa for asking for our imput! Not to mention all the other awesome things you guys do. The card looks fantastic! Congratulations to all who submitted a design. All the submissions were great, and it really was hard to choose a top three.
darklingscribe
I love the design. I really does seem to channel the spirit of fun of this site while also maintaining a clean (not too busy) look. I wish my season passes looked as good. Jds03
Nice! I really like this final version, It blended together really nice! Looks great, a nice blend of the 3. I do agree though about the track as it has a sudden edge, as though it was just plopped there. A soft edge or fade would work. I actually thought about that, but I decided I liked the sharp razor look better, because it fit well with the "Club" text and gave a more fun and energetic feel to the whole thing. That being said, I really like the way that end fits with the swoops in jcrouse’s design. They really fit well together. Oh, and I want to give a huge thanks to Robb & Elissa, and everyone who voted for my logo. It makes me feel real great that something I designed will be professionally distributed around the world! Once again, HUGE thanks Robb. This makes me feel great, and I’d be more than happy to make more graphic stuff for TPR in the future.

dannerman
First I want to say that I LOVE the design of the card! Hmm... I just had an idea that I wanted to share... (and if you choose not to run with it or if things don't fall into place by then, obviously that's ok ) If you achieve your goal of getting everything together by March 1st, you could slip the membership cards into the packets for WCB of the Club TPR members who sign up in time and are going to WCB. That would save on postage and help our contribution to the site go farther. Just an idea, that's all. Again, if the logistics of it don't pan out to be a good idea, then no worries. robbalvey
^ Not sure if we'll want to put cards and everything in WCB packets because there will already be enough work to do for those packets that I'm not sure I want to confuse things any more. We WILL have the ability to register for Club TPR at WCB though! --Robb
andyuk200523
I have to say the card strikes the perfect balance between "fun" and "professional". Congratulations on what should be an epic milestone in TPR history!
Skycoastin Steve
After a 2nd look, I have a problem with the cards. That element shown by the track on the main portion of the card is not an element that is on any coaster on Earth. It's not realistic, I want my money back!
