Purplepills
^ Possibly, but then compared to the number of people going you probably wouldn't notice. What I am interested in though is if you know whether or not they have any ERT, and if so is this during the park regular opening hours?
SteveC
^it would be unusual for RCCGB to not have ERT on a co-ordinated meet but it is probably best you ask them directly. I know they did the Stealth ERT but there has been a change of Thorpe park management since and it would depend on the clubs current relationship with the 'New Dudes'. Â Check their website and chat board. It is not TPR (chat wise or site wise) by any means (though that is not a diss- they are a fun crowd, and I know this as I am a member) but you should be able to PM the club directly and ask. SteveC
^^I can confirm to you that RCCGB does have ERT on the 21st March (they call it ERS by the way but it is the same thing). You would have to be a member of the club (renewal fees just out at £27 pa) to join in, or link up to someone else who is already a member to 'tag on' to the invite. (price for the event £23 or £5 if you already hold a season pass). ERT/ERS is at the end of the park day (from 5:30 p.m.)  Hope that helps you out.  I'm going to brave the line and aim for the 14th and burn in hell if it all goes wrong. rollerboy
The ERT sounds very tempting! I'm thinking of buying an extreme fast track to help beat the queues. Stealth has also been added to it.
jason10
The ERT sounds very tempting! I'm thinking of buying an extreme fast track to help beat the queues. Stealth has also been added to it. Â Jordan, I am now begging you... do not get Ultimate Fastrack! We won't be able to see each other that way. That was one of the main reasons for going other than Saw! So please, don't. Yes, it will maximise your day but, going for two days means you really don't need it! Â Anyway, back on topic! I can't believe how quick all of this has been. It seems like only last week we found out it was themed to Saw! Just 2 more weeks to go until opening and I can't wait. I'm not going to look at POV's though as it will ruin the whole surprise! Purplepills
^Yeah I'm going on the 21st (hopefully), I'm going to try to avoid reading/seeing anything about it so I get a proper surprise when I get there. Â I've actually pretty much forgotten about the coaster itself and am now far more interested in the theming and the live actors. The coaster is like a bonus on top almost. andyuk200523
Going down on the 18th March for the day, glad I have that day off should be nice and quiet on the park  Gonna try and ignore any post relating to Saw after the ride has opened, dont want any surprises ruined!  Andrew
Purplepills
Now going on the 22nd, just wondering if anyone has seen any information on fastrack for Saw and whether it'll be available on the day. I'd guess it would be £4 or £5 based on what Stealth used to be, but only individual tickets are available on the website at the moment.
TPDave
Yeah, I'd assume those prices are about right. Â Make sure you use the normal queue once though, as the fastrack one might miss the actors etc. in the queue
Purplepills
Yeah I was wondering that. I have to use the normal queue anyway as my wife gets petrified when people jump out on her, so I have to go through first on my own to see if thats what happens. When we went through the chamber of horrors at Madame Tussauds she thought the actor was actually going to kill her. I was just thinking if the queue ends up at 2+ hours or something like that I'd get the fastrack to get another ride in later in the day.
rollerboy
POV. I repeat, we have POV! Â http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7ZKWPrb_a4 Â Wow?
Cyber.Fiber
Did you see that drop off the midcourse? Â OMFG! This ride looks great!
SteveC
^^so the 'head chopper' blades were not doing much...I'm sure they will be spinning like a chipmunks mother-in-law on the day though. Â Not too much of a spoiler as we all await the queue theming bit which hopefully will set this apart from the pack.
TPDave
Apparently the blades are spinning rather fast in the theatrical advert airing in cinemas...
SteveC
Apparently the blades are spinning rather fast in the theatrical advert airing in cinemas... Â OMG - is this a first? advertising in cinemas I mean. How much did that cost? - I am totally screw*d with the crowds on the 14th then. Chav City Chipmunk Mommas slicing their offspring though the blades......this has got to be good.
TPDave
Nope, Stealth was advertised in cinemas as well, just a longer version of the TV advert. Â Looks like it's going to be a bit busy on saturday! If only there was a way to ride it some other time
Nemesis Inferno
I'm probs one of the few that won't be at opening because I cannot find myself to be excited about Thorpe or this... Â I'll just pop in on a random day I'm off in the near future...
andyuk200523
Awesome, a POV that doesn't ruin any surprises of the interior, nice one Thorpe and BBC.....best of all, the bloke sat next to the presenter, is one of my best buds Darren! He is head operator of the ride and will be there, (He has popped up in a past Trip Report from TPR at Thorpe too, if you see him on Friday/Saturday tell him Andy says Hi  Andrew "Really looking forward to 18th now!" Purplepills
Saw (no pun intended) this aswell, really looking forward to it still. Â I love the way at the end there has to be someone questioning roller coaster safety though. Was it really necessary?
andyuk200523
It sucks doesn't it, the news never like to be seen to be siding with one thing, so for every good thing they show they always show the other "sides" arguement....are rollercoasters safe.........are concerts damaging our hearing blah blah blah.... Â Â Missing the Point BBC - it is FUN!
WFChris
That was hardly a POV...just a report. Â Chris.
andyuk200523
POV - Point of View  I believe he never said Full OnRide POV, just POV.  Considering the ride hasn't even opened yet and there is a lot of secrecy surrounding the interior portion of the ride (gonna scare the crap outta you) I think what we were provided with from the BBC was sufficient.  Gotta remember, this was the BBC local news, hardley Coaster Enthusiasts Nightly!  Andrew
Purplepills
I thought it was a bit odd that they in no way shape or form mentioned the ride was tied in with the Saw movies, or has a large dark indoor section. I guess they want that as a surprise. Â I still can't see any info for buying the Saw fastrack tickets either. All the other fastrack options are up, but none for Saw, unless they aren't going to be using fastrack yet as the lines will already be so long. jason10
At first glance, this video might not reveal much but, if you look out for details you will notice a few hidden gems! For example, at 1:08, as they start ascending, you will notice the two plasma screens just above the track before the lift on the block brakes. If you put this with the 'Billy the Puppet's' laugh you can hear on another video of it testing just before you go up, this might indicate one of those pre-trap video. 'I want to play a game!' anyone?
