freekeee Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 ugh, just noticed that the UK meeting point is London Heathrow, that doubles the price of a flight for me than say, gatwick or luton since easyjet don't fly there
hyyyper Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 ugh, just noticed that the UK meeting point is London Heathrow, that doubles the price of a flight for me than say, gatwick or luton since easyjet don't fly there Why don't you fly into gatwick and then take a bus to heathrow?
freekeee Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 ^ this will be the 1st time ill ever be travilling alone like this, i would prefer it to be as simple as possable!
hyyyper Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 ^ this will be the 1st time ill ever be travilling alone like this, i would prefer it to be as simple as possable! Last summer was my first time travelling alone too. Busses aren't complicated, you can purchase your ticket online, from within the airport directions will guide you to the busses, you hop on the correct bus and done. But it's up you eventually, if you want a more expensive direct flight, go ahead.
larrygator Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 for research sake, I'm looking to go on the UK trip and was wondering, as far as the tour dates go, are the first and last dates travel days or should we research travel options one day before and after? Robb and Elissa are headed back to LA as I write, but plan on having flyers for the trips ready this week. Always plan to fly out the day after the last park, not the day of the last park. Generally the bus won't get back to the hotel til evening. As far as arriving, most people arrive the day before (or two days before). Two days allows for sightseeing in London, adjusting to times change and the ability to take advantage of any Day Zero events that might be scheduled for a little extra $. Never arrive the day the trip starts as you will be hard pressed to make it to the hotel before the bus leaves for the first park of the trip. This will all be explained in the flyers.
PKI Jizzman Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Do the Midland Europe trip parks have crazy trampolines or fun houses? I'd love to visit a park with those!
Nrthwnd Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 ^ I don't remember there being that many, if any, playground areas for kids (and kid-wannabes, lol) in the TPR Euro tour last year. And actual walk-thru funhouses were a hit-and-miss thing, too. Not many to choose from. A lot of dark rides to enjoy, though (or go WTF at). Efteling was an exception, with a lot of stuff for kids to enjoy including several push-around mini-merry-go-rounds! Europa has themed ride areas for kids, but I never noticed whether there were climbing bars and/or actual play areas for them to go and enjoy. I actually found more trampolines and real energy-driven play areas AND funhouses on the TPR Scandinavian Tour we did back in June. Those people know how to exercise their kids AND themself, LOL! Just a suggestion, but maybe when TPR offers up another Scandi Tour, you should definitely consider it for your trampoline and funhouse "needs".

Edward Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 for research sake, I'm looking to go on the UK trip and was wondering, as far as the tour dates go, are the first and last dates travel days or should we research travel options one day before and after? So, as soon as the Alvey's are in the country they pretty much dash off to the first park? And I take it one will have to make ones own hotel reservations for the night before the first park and after the last (not included in the trip fees)? Suddenly a trip sounds somewhat more expensive than what I had imagined. /Edward
Moose Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 ^ An extra night's stay before a trip is in no way required, there is already a night before the first park included. Many people on the international trips stay an additional night in case of flight delays, to help get over jet lag, and allow a little sightseeing time.
larrygator Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 ^^The hotel room for night you return from the last park will be included in the price.
SharkTums Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Edward, I suggest you read the flyers. They explain that the nights of hotel before the first park and after the last ARE included, so I'm not sure what you're talking about. People do usually come in early if they're flying from far away though (in case of flight delays) and for those extra night(s) we offer a discounted rate. As always, if you have any questions it's always best to email me!
hansrubens Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 It was a hard choise between UK and Mainland Europe but my Deposit is paid for mainland Europe. ---Hans
