WayCool64 Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Peter Sallis, the voice of Wallace from Wallace and Gromit just passed away at 96. One of my childhood favorites is now gone. Decided to have some cheese and crackers in remembrance.
Nrthwnd Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 ^ Awwwwwww. Thankfully we have all their stuff on dvds and the other movies using that style of animation. (i.e. "Chicken Run")

Stephen Furst yet another cast member from Babylon 5 gone way too soon. . . he was a wonderful guy too: here we are in 2001 at Dragon*con. He also was known for playing Flounder from Animal House, and Dr. Elliott Axlerod from St. Elsewhere
Nrthwnd Posted June 20, 2017 Posted June 20, 2017 ^ I do remember him! He always looked like he was thoroughly enjoying playing his character in a film or tv, etc. RIP SF.
bert425 Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 (edited) Nelsan Ellis -- who played "Lafayette" on "True Blood" he was a wonderful man, and I enjoyed my interactions with him at Dragon*con. Such a straight man, playing such an over the top Gay character, and he did it with such ease, and no qualms at all. I will miss him. . far too young (39) to be gone. variety.com/2017/tv/news/nelsan-ellis-dies-dead-true-blood-1202490405/ Edited July 9, 2017 by bert425
Nrthwnd Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 ^ David doesn't know yet, and he's going to be pretty upset, as Lafayette was his fave character on TB. http://www.variety.com/2017/tv/news/nelsan-ellis-dies-dead-true-blood-1202490405/ (fixed)
Themonerd Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 Lead singer of Linkin Park; Chester Bennington took his own life
Vargonon Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 Lead singer of Linkin Park; Chester Bennington took his own life I'm in tears right now. Linkin Park has been my favorite band since I was 9 or 10 years old. They have helped me overcome my depression and anxiety when I was a teenager. I just can't believe it. Chester will go down in being one of the greatest musicians of this time.

bert425 Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 and this thread missed the passing the other day of: George Romero (he may be the father of the zombie, but I loved his "Crazies" and "Martin" just as much). and Martin Landau. . who most know from "Mission Impossible", but I knew from "Space: 1999")
WayCool64 Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 and this thread missed the passing the other day of: George Romero (he may be the father of the zombie, but I loved his "Crazies" and "Martin" just as much). and Martin Landau. . who most know from "Mission Impossible", but I knew from "Space: 1999") I was just about to mention that too! It's a shame that they're gone. I really need to see Night of the Living Dead and Ed Wood.
WayCool64 Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 June Foray just passed away at 99. I think every animation expert should know who she was. She was the voice of some of the great animated characters in animation history, including Rocky and Granny. I'm honestly saddened by this. She was a legend in the animation industry, and I would've loved to actually meet her, but now I know that I never will.
JPRIC01 Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 Disney legend/imagineer Marty Sklar passed today at the age of 83.
