cal1br3tto Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I'm rarely one to complain about bright colors, or even loud color schemes. But, yeah, that's a bit...much. I've heard that the lap bars may look like torture devices, but are actually comfortable and a real improvement. True? There seems to be some positive feedback in this thread as people get used to their odd looks.
oriolat Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I have to agree that those colours are a bit too striking. Speed of Sound's colour scheme is still bright but in a good way. I am glad that Eqwalizer is using the same soundtrack as Speed of Sound. I love it!
scbt Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 The trains seem nice, but I'm definitely not a fan of the new color scheme. Also, It would have been nice if they had put at least a little bit of music themeing for the station.
BDG Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 (edited) Out of nowhere this park just announced a Gravity Group wooden coaster for 2016!!! Walibi Rhône-Alpes and Gravity Group have officially signed the new ride for 2016.It will be a "wooden coaster", more on our Facebook page tomorrow!" CDA is on a roll. source: Walibi Rhône-Alpes Edited July 24, 2015 by larrygator
Nrthwnd Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 I'm also thinking....a cotton candy colour for those tracks.
gerstlaueringvar Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 I wouldn't be surprised if this coaster is all green. Even neon green. Photo from GCI's Facebook
Geauga Dog Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 Wow, that really was an unexpected bit of news. Nice to see Gravity Group being so busy given all the coasters they've been building in China and now this one. Seems GCI fell off the planet.
larrygator Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 (edited) BDG - A broke this into a new thread because I didn't want it to be hidden in another thread. Thanks for bringing this to TPR's attention. Edited July 24, 2015 by larrygator
Gutterflower Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Wow, that really was an unexpected bit of news. Nice to see Gravity Group being so busy given all the coasters they've been building in China and now this one. Seems GCI fell off the planet. GCI also just announced a new ride for Europe at Plopsaland and its rumoured Holiday Park will get one too the year after. A good year for wooden fans in Europe
_koppen Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 This is totally awesome! The park due pull in a decent amount of visitors so it's great to see it getting some love.
larrygator Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 I remember when enthusiasts used to get excited about Gravity Group coasters.
cfc Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 I remember when enthusiasts used to get excited about Gravity Group coasters. Dadburn kids today.
BDG Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 (edited) Some really nice "from sketch to reality" pictures of the park's new-for-2015 jungle cruise makeover, designed by Julien Bertevas, who also designed the Egyptian area at Parc Astérix. Instead of the hippos and tigers, it now features cartoony creatures who are recreating famous movies. Anaconda: Anaconda Anaconda Tarzan: Tarzan Tarzan Pirates of the Caribbean: Pirates of the Caribbean Pirates of the Caribbean Pirates of the Caribbean Avatar: Avatar Avatar King Kong: King Kong King Kong King Kong Jurassic Park: Jurassic Park Jurassic Park Jurassic Park Indiana Jones: Indiana Jones Indiana Jones Also found a couple POV videos showing the scenes in action: part 1: Anaconda, Tarzan, Pirates, Avatar, King Kong, Jurassic Park https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usTt4XcbaGc part 2: Indiana Jones https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNvzH8dJTmM Really nicely done. I hope this update is being considered for the tow-boat ride at the Belgian park. That one used to have a Tin-Tin theme, but that license was dropped ages ago. Now there's nothing but shrubs and trees to look at. photos: Julien Bertevas Edited September 26, 2015 by BDG
BDG Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Land clearing for the woodie... And the area they're working in... photos: Mehdi.B / Ameworld
Nrthwnd Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Loved the Jungle Cruise makeover! What fun. Everything looked perfectly placed, and I liked the idea that you see "behind the curtain" and how these creatures put the movies' sets and such together, and "operated" them.
Geauga Dog Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Looking at the aerial photo where the ride construction is marked for some reason I think we're going to see something similar to what Plopsaland De Panne is getting next year.

CoasterMateo Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Awesome! This is great for this small park
