Erik Johnson
I was lucky enough to be invited out to "TPR Central" to help out with a few new upcoming projects. I always love coming out to California for annual West Coast Bash event. It is always great to hang out with old friends as well as meet a bunch of new ones as well. This time there were 700 of you. I should start off by thanking everyone who was involved with making this event a success, and I hope to be able to come out again next year. Anyways, let us get right down to some photos: The rain actually stopped as everyone went into the park. I think everyone has this photo. Hey there! My job was to be one of the guardians of the WCB T-Shirts. Good morning! Noted. For me, this was sleeping in. I have to admit that I did not see a single member of this group in the park that day. The next morning was West Coast Bash 2009. Ummm, don't you think you are a little too big for that? Seriously, the slide was really insane. Thumbs up for the food. While not a credit, the slide proved to be insane fun! The cake was really awesome. Russ showed us his Dixie Cup Dance moves as well. Wes likes to spell out cryptic messages. JimmyBo tried to impress us all with his Dixie Cup Dance. How fitting for the name for our room. A few of us close friends gathered together for K.T.'s second birthday. Whoa! Freaky! "One shall rule them all!" ....Well maybe not. Oh, nice. I think those things are called mountains. I do have a lot of pointless knowledge in my brain. Wow, what a rather large Pac-Man. AllenA07
I had noticed in another report that it was Physics day... Of all the time I worked at SFMM that was without a doubt the best day I had there. In order to learn physics the students (and myself ) made paper air plane's and flew them inside of Magic Moments, with the one going the greatest distance earning it's creator two free tickets. Â Good times!
ebl
Somehow, I snuck into the very last picture in the bottom right hand corner (that's me with the blue jacket and prominent bald spot). Â Sorry I didn't talk to you much, Erik, other than to say hi once. It's my turn to go to Florida, so maybe there. I hope you had a good time at the Bash despite the weather. Erik Johnson
Part 2: X2! I really enjoyed my two rides on X2. The new trains and onboard music/fire are really cool. More riders of the day. Chris and Natalie from Rideworld. X2!!!! Enjoy your ride. Hey there John! Thumbs up for X2. I was always an X fan, I am happy to report that I found X2 to even be better. More happy riders. So that is what the trains look like underneath. 10 minute wait for X2? Yes, please! More happy West Coast Bash friends. Load times have been cut in half with the new trains. First row riders!. Or is it the back row? This was the end of the line right before our first ride. I love ERT! Are you guys ready for X2? "Why are we riding this?" I really thought the onboard music was really fun on the lift. Going! Going! Going! Flyby!! Don't be scared Cameron, it does not bite. Cool, I can finally check out X2. No, you are not allowed to ride this year. Yeah, I needed one of these pictures. Did someone say food? The donuts/juice really hit the spot before riding more coasters. Super Fast Viper! I do have a tradition to make Viper the first ride of the day.

Crazy4Coasters!
So you are Mr. Erik Johnson... Well I called you Mr. Shorts on WCB so I'm sticking to it! It was really nice meeting you, Cameron and the the guy would looked like he was ready for skiing down some slopes (I forgot his name) It was fun hanging out with you guys and I'm looking forward to seeing you guys again. By the way you were very sneaky into getting me in a picture... (I'm the shortest one in the picture by the way)
Erik Johnson
Part 3: The rest of West Coast Bash. After 4 visits to the park, I finally earned my Deja Vu credit. 3 down, one more to go (The one in Spain). In the afternoon we attended a presentation with the park's management. The scavenger hunt proved to be popular. This is one of many groups. Warm enough Dave? After a full morning of coasters, everyone was ready for food. Mr. Six joined us for lunch. Lunch Time!! These little bits of ice fell for about 5 minutes. HAIL STORM! Just as we finished our tour, something started falling from the sky. Good to know. 2 more months to go. Ooooooo....Pretty. More wood bits I can be a bit of a geek sometimes. I really do like GCI coasters. The first drop as well as the top of the lift. Yes, there is a lot of wood lying around. Everyone was soaking in all the information. Tim came out to talk about the new coaster, as well as answer questions. I am really looking foward to riding this next year. Anyone known where this Goliath sign used to be? Terminator Salvation: The Ride tries its best to block out Deja Vu. 11:16am 11:15am 11:12am Oh Yeah, it is 11:15am right now. You guys have any idea? I wonder why these people are gathering at this spot. Goliath was a lot of fun today. Last year this was just a bunch of dirt. The new area really looked nice. Tatsu shot. "Must Eat Churros" Mr. Six looks different. Revolution was shown some love during morning ERT.
ebl
^ Don't forget, you have to ride Aftershock at Silverwood, too! Â Eric
Calicoasters
I wonder how heavy the Jr. Goliath sign is? I wouldn't mind having that at the entry to my house. Great Trip Report, and I envy your Deja Vu rides!
Erik Johnson
^ Don't forget, you have to ride Aftershock at Silverwood, too!  Eric  I actually was able to earn that one while it was still at SFGam. I got that one as well as the one at SFoG in 2006.

SharkTums
^^LOL! Good question! Â Because it's a TPR Event and we don't scare away the women like an ACE event does!!! Â I actually said the same thing when I joined the group at the Picnic Pavilion on Sunday: "Wow, there's a lot of chicks here...go us!"
Erik Johnson
After several days at the "TPR Compound" I was released out of my cage and was allowed to go visit The Disneyland Resort with Robb. As much as I like the Tower of Terror attractions, I am not willing to wait 70 minutes. My guess they were having problems that day. If you have the time you should check it out. Those fountains in the middle are for World of Color. Maliboomer is not found on the new layout. That does not look much like Maliboomer. The have a model of the entire Paradise Pier area. Here is the front entrance. Oh, this is the new attraction. More World of Color signs. Think Fantasmic in the round. More Blue Walls. More construction. Eventually, there will be a Mickey Mouse face on the old Sun Wheel. The Mickey Mouse ears are gone!! Robb eats the sign. Screamin' and construction. You drop your 3-D glasses in here. Gift Store. While the ride is the exact same as the one in Florida, everything else is quite different. I do find this ride to be quite a bit of fun. 10 minutes versus 45. Yes please. Oh wow!! YES!! Toy Story Mania has been added since the last time I have been here. Someone looks way too happy. The single rider line only took about 5 minutes. Oh heck yeah! Another Screamin' angle. Sometimes you get to duel with a truck or a random bulldozer. California Screamin' This is the reason why the lake is drained. Feel a little cramped? But in the meantime.... We walked over to DCA first. This is what its going to look like in a couple of years. Wow, most everything is open today. Who is this guy? I also earned my tram credit as well. Down into the rabbit hole we go. My very first DLR parking lot credit
Erik Johnson
Disneyland Part 1: Small World Update. The sun was pretty bright. French Can-Can dancers. Woody and Bullseye. Jessie from Toy Story 2. The added a brand new America room. Lilo and Stitch. At least this room does not smell like chili dogs. Nemo, without the long queue. The Little Mermaid is here too. In this room I felt like I was in Epcot. Here are those other Lion King characters. Simba. Mulan. We see you Jasmine. It actually was fun to try to find all the characters while riding the ride. I thought that the new Disney character dolls were a nice new touch. The original Small World now begins. BEAR! Does this count as a space on Elissa Bingo? So how many Small World's have you ridden within a year? Here is the backside of a boat. Seriously, we think the new boats were built by Rubbermaid. After a year's worth of referb work, Small World reopened last month. The building is about half the size when compared to the one in Florida. We waited for about 30 minutes. The queue really went fast. Aww...they got a mini Space Mountain here. Its always cool to meet other members. Hi BelizeIt. Robb wanted to wave to all the TPR readers. All Lincoln fans rejoice! Awwww....isn't that cute.

(Erik Johnson) Â Yeah, I figured that, but you have to get the credit as Aftershock! Â Looks like y'all had a blast at the DLR. It's been six months since I was there. I'd like to see how Disney's Construction Adventure is coming along. Â Eric
Wes
Wes, where did you get your shoes? They are pretty badass. Â http://www.zappos.com/product/7480023/color/174513 Â Awesome time hanging with you on Saturday and Sunday Erik! Erik Johnson
Disneyland Part 2 Good-Bye Disneyland. Dole Whip float, yum! Robb being Robb Pooh is so awesome. I still needed my complete, "bad" Pooh credit. Haunted Mansion I dragged everyone onto "Good" Pirates. Hey, I know these guys. Train #3 Big Thunder track close-up. Chris and Big Thunder. Duck! Some of these scenes used the same technology as the new Nemo attractions. Scary stuff. The entire story is told by these books. Actually, these little scenes were pretty cool. The castle attraction reopened recently. They added a bunch of new effects as well. Opening next month. Its by far the best chocolate in the world. We are not sure how it happened, but Robb got soaked on the Matterhorn. Light Speed! Into the deep dark hole. Ha ha, you can't ride this in Florida. I look way too happy. Another train shot. Here is another one. I took a few pictures for the Park/Ride Index. Here you go Larry. We decided to ride the Tomorrowland side today. These trains originally were first used at Florida's Space Mountain. The brand new monorail was running. This is for you Beemerboy. The world's first steel coaster, The Matterhorn. BeemerBoy
Thanks for the monorail shot, Erik. Orange is sexy! Â And I guess I didn't notice this until now, but..... ....they're putting the Bellagio fountains into DCA?
Erik Johnson
We totally forgot to check on something while in DCA, so we ended up going back. This will be the last posting of the day. Ok, its time to head on out. Till the next update! Tower still had a 70 minute wait. Has anyone tried the hot dogs? It actually was quite tasty as well as filling. A new Disney snack? What in the world is Robb doing? How would you like this job. While it is still tasty, its still not quite as good as the popcorn in Japan. The Tokyo Disneyland stable has finally arrived in California. No, it is not beer. Look a bit closer. Oh yeah, we forgot to check something. cfc
Good stuff, Erik. I wish I could've made it to WCB this year, but that's life.
