ajinaz
Wow. This is beyond words. i just cant belive that you are opening a water park! One question, Why saltwater? Why not chlorinated freshwater? My swimming pool is saltwater and there is no comparison. Chlorinated water sucks. It makes your eyes hurt, makes your skin all sticky and generally makes you feel tired. Salt water is so much more refreshing.
netdvn
Wow Shane, this park looks very impressive. I really love the colors of the play structure and the slides. BTW: I had no idea your family owned and operated amusement parks. That must be awesome.

We looked at all water filtration systems and yes I would prefer a saltwater system for my home pool. But when dealing with the public and the amount of bodies that will be in the water there is no safer way to deal with cleaning the water than good ol chlorine. Of course we will also have UV zappers that will kill anything that the chlorine doesn't.
SteveC
Shane this is bloody brilliant! I know we (the lucky trippers) and you are sorry you can't make the Scandi trip this year but this is the best reason ever for not making it. I think I'll give Dorothy a call to see if an August visit can be arranged to your awesome waterfest BTW -trusting there is no European Speedo rules on the ticket? Vffreak07
I personally feel gross after salt water & chlorine so I guess I'm on the strange end of the stick. Oh well! I'm sure whatever you chose will fit in great & make the park great. How's construction shaping up now that spring has sprung?

montezooma
A little sun and good weather sure goes along way in construction. This thing is really starting to get big. With nearly one third of the towers now vertical there is still two thirds of this thing sitting in the parking lot. Lazy River is also getting much love. I always think these shots are sexy and now back to the world's largest water play structure one of the water features along the lazy river is being worked on. work on the lazy river is moving along quickly thanks to a GREAT construction team it is a PERFECT fit every time watch those fingers that's 2500 pounds coming down. slowly, slowly ease her into place anatomy of a column. minutes later we have vertical erection. in the horizonal position... I've got a big crane too lots of vertical constuction going on

kumba830
One quick question Shane... Will this be one of those fast current lazy rivers? (Sure looks like it from the size of those jets.)
DiSab
This really looks like one of the best locations for a water park, with the snowy mountains in the background. Lookin' good, can't wait to see the finished product.
montezooma
One quick question Shane... Will this be one of those fast current lazy rivers?(Sure looks like it from the size of those jets.) No it will not be a fast current, it will be your typical lazy river. Although there is some adjustment we can do on the speed...as a roller coaster enthusiast you know I will run it at it's full potential. I also made sure that the enclosed slides have the thrill factor turned up a bit

On the subject of the Mountains as a Backdrop, I don't know if people realize the Wasatch Mountains are also the Backdrop for Lagoon, as it's right at the bottom of Farmington Canyon. - Sid
