ArizonaGuy Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 So as far as trains for Iron Rattler, I dont know if this has been brought up before but who is making the trains for IR? I know RMC is making the Outlaw Run trains. Are they doing IR's as well or is it another company?

ArizonaGuy Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 ^^ Ahh cool deal. Are they the ones who made the trains for NTAG???
boardwalkbullet91507 Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 The trains on NTAG are amazing. I can't wait to ride the ones on Iron Rattler. They are incredibly smooth and comfortable.
richtrav Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 So far it looks like it's going to end exactly the way the computer renderings show: a hill with maybe a slight pop coming out of the tunnel with a descending ramp into the brakes. It's going to be a short ride, I'm sure they don't have the Giant's extravagant budget, so every foot of track needs to count. Should be crazy fun though.
ArizonaGuy Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 ^^ Still disagree. We'll just have to see.
boardwalkbullet91507 Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Yeah, Im still holding onto that glimmer of hope that there will be something. Theres that one picture that shows the original structure coming out from the tunnel that looks just enough to the right to keep me hoping there will be something.
Wes Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Seems more like wishful thinking...probably better use of time to look for Jesus' face in a poptart or something.
jray21 Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 I'm just glad they're redoing it! Anything is better than what it used to be.
RoCo Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 I had not been following along on the progress with this thing so much; just went through the last ten or so pages. Dayum.
SFFTfan Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 11/20. Work being done on first drop and lift hill 11/20. Track missing from lift hill and first drop 11/20. First drop work
ArizonaGuy Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 ^^ Nice pictures. Thanks for the update!!!!
coastercrutchfield Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Just put out two more offride videos recently, so I guess that I'll share them here:
jokey Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 ^ I like how that last picture has the final twist of the roll. Won't be long until they are done that section!
jps294 Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Went to the opening of Holiday in the Park yesterday (11/23/12). The park was moderate to crowded but still ended up riding 8 rides with riding twice on Scream and The Hustler. Only got to see Iron Rattler on Road Runner and it was dark so I couldn't see much. But I did see that the helix next to the station of Rattler is removed completely except for the footers and there is track from the station that goes towards Road Runner! Here are my pictures of my day! warning; Iphone Photos!! Love this picture of Goliath. Thanks Instagram!! Boomerang Whirligig Rockville Carolers Snow in Texas? SkyScreamer Entrance!
SuperKryptonGuy28 Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Just an FYI... I drive past the park on my way to work this morning and they have taken out part of the support structure for the drop. The part that had been extend out when they raised the drop is gone! From the looks of the angle it made it real how steep that drop will be. I'm excited!
BigBomer Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 ^^ Was Superman open when you were there? It hasn't been during Holiday in the Park but I thought it might be this year because of Skyscreamer.

ArundelHigh Coasters Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 ^ That looks really cool, can't wait to try it. They are sure getting it done quickly .
SFFTfan Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I drive by the park almost everyday on 1604 but only get a chance to go to La Cantera to see the construction in the middle of the week. Here is a pic of the 1st drop support structure missing.
coastercrazy216 Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I wonder if they are planning to do any extra bracing to the structure since it swayed so much.
SFOGdude25 Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 ^They probably will. They did so with NTAG, but not really a lot. The Iron Horse track is super strong which probably helps with structure sway on its own.
boardwalkbullet91507 Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I wonder if they are planning to do any extra bracing to the structure since it swayed so much. The place where it swayed is being changed completely anyways, that's where the 0g roll is going to be! ... And the bottom of the fan curve.
