xVicesAndVirtues
Awesome, I can't wait to see pieces of track go up! "Overhead lap bars"?!? If it's true lap bars, let's hope they're the El Toro-style ones and not Bizarro-style. Oh god, why are we discussing restraints...
bottom_feeder_13
They have to be overhead lap-bars for the outer seats at least, seeing as there isn't any floor to attach a standard one to in front of them.
coasterlover420
To be honest, the shoulder part of the Intamin harnesses aren't what bother me, it's the lap bar part...
alpengeist04
I think I'm going to wait and see first before commenting on the restraints.
Intarider
Actually, on the artwork the restraints look a lot like the system Mack uses on Blue Fire, don't they? If the restraints were basically i305-style without the OTS-part, they could indeed be painful for some riders.
UnderCoverDrummer1
Oh god here we go...it's going to be like the I305 restraint argument ALL over again.
_koppen
I'm not gonna get in on the discussion on the restraints, but from the look of the concept art it looks to be something new. Looks like a huge lap bar attatched from the top, like Blue Fire, or Battlestar Galactica.
xVicesAndVirtues
^What, nobody told you?!? This coaster is mini-305! !!!111 But, in all seriousness, I'm not crazy about the lap bar part of the Intamin overhead/ots restraints either.
A.J.
Whatever the restraint system will be, it will be overhead. That shouldn't be being disputed...

UnderCoverDrummer1
It's amazing to me that soon the view in that second picture^ will have 5 different coasters in it. 5!!!! I swear, this park has a special ability to bring out the child in me. And it does it more than any other park I've ever been to. I can't wait to see what starts to go up over the next couple of weeks.

Ccron10
^Behind Storm Runner's Cobra Roll. As for the lapbars, I would expect them to look similar to the ones on Shoot-The-Rapids or Pilgrim's Plunge. If so, then this might end up being epic! UnderCoverDrummer1
^ I couldn't see it until I zoomed in, Sidewinder was blending in with the tree branches. You're right, 6 COASTERS!!!

Ccron10
^^ Since when does Storm Runner have a Cobra Roll? I ment Immelmann. It was either one of the two. lol
UnderCoverDrummer1
I seem to remember Intamin calling the element a "Cobra Loop". If you look at the element from the side it is initially shaped like half of a Cobra Roll, which then dives down completing the immelman.
Ccron10
Taken by Harry over at the Project 2012 facebook page. Here's a new update showing the crane in the air. According to one of the park's Twitter pages, vertical construction MIGHT start this week! http://keystonethrills.wordpress.com/2011/11/13/hersheypark-skyrush-construction-update-51-11-9-to-11-11-11/
screaminkid2005
That crane picture just gave me chills! I'm so excited to follow the construction!
Fooz
The crane sitting on that gravel road at the bottom of the site is very interesting. There must be a very specific order of what piece goes in when, so not to block its path.
UnderCoverDrummer1
I feel like a boy in the days leading up till christmas, like one day I'm going to wake up and see Skyrush coaster supports under the tree!
