it's described in detail at coasterfanatics.com

Did anybody hear her on the phone? Was she talking to someone who was on the ride??? Sure sounded like it to me.

Either way, it was cool and something you are not likely to see again anytime soon.

Apparently, TTD has only been stuck at the top 3 times (and I use "only" loosely, because most people thought it could never happen...). Twice during testing (there's a different video of the second one somewhere...), and the one you see on xtremecoastin.com with passengers.

The reason I didn't give a better link is because when I posted it it was there right when you got to the site.

Whoa  , I would be really frighted if that was me , but i'm sure a lot of people would pay for that kind of experience!

I know I'll get slammed for this .. but man, a $25,000,000 ride, and some shleb has to manually push the train over the top!

Cameron We both will get slammed for this. I personally Think if I had 30 million dollars to invest in a coaster I would stear clear of Intamin as a whole. There rides are lawsuits waiting to happen, snapping cables, thrown riders, valleying........ I'm being very general about this but if I was a park looking into a major thrill ride that would be extremely popular and extremely reliable I would go with B&M. Although there ideas are not outside the box.........

that is amazing i would love to ride TTD some time but ill never be able to go to america any time soon.

if any of the riders on that train are a member of theme park review get intouch !!!!!!!!

did it actually balance at the top or were there brakes that that stopped it? it sounds too rare that it would get stuck balanced 5 times.

Posted

no, the more i think about it the more i doubt it. any type of wind could probably blow it over if it was perfectly balenced. also, the guy who got out of the elevator did something before he pushed the train down. now im not trying to sound like i know everything but it just seems imposible.
