thrillgeek
My home park is finally getting a JR Here's the list. (2/25/08) The official Johnny Rockets website has been updated to list new locations opening in 2008 which includes a listing of the locations at the various Six Flags theme parks. A reader searched through the database of locations and came up with the following list of Johnny Rocket (JR) locations in Six Flags theme parks. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom – 1 (Will open their first JR in 2008) Six Flags Magic Mountain – 2 (Will open second JR in 2008) Six Flags Fiesta Texas – 2 (Will open second JR in 2008) Six Flags Great America – 2 (Will open second JR in 2008) Six Flags over Georgia – 1 (Will open first in 2008) Six Flags New England – 1 (Will open first in 2008) Six Flags Great Adventure – 3 (Will open two new locations in 2008) Six Flags Mexico – 1 (Will open their first in 2008) The Great Escape Lodge - 1 (Will open their first in 2008) Six Flags over Texas – 1 (existing) Six Flags St. Louis – 1 (existing)

Groteslurf
At first I thought it was some kind of new attraction but after some googling, I now know these are restaurants. I will try one out at SFGAdv.

Homer
I question though, why would a park need two Johnny Rockets? It isn't like Six Flags is a mid-size city or anything and needs two of the same sit down restaurants in one park? Hopefully somebody with experience can explain the logistics. PURE
^Because of the "freshness" and creation of the burgers upon order, 10-15 minute or longer wait times were made during the summer for people waiting for their food at Johnny Rockets, sometimes 30 minute lines or longer. Hopefully a second store in the park will ease some of that congestion. And the burgers, in my opinion blow, I just think there isn't much better food in the park (unless you want to sit at Moose burger) so people gravitate to it. thrillgeek
I ate at moose burger while at magic mountain and really liked it. I've heard JR's are even more popular so I'm excited sfdk is getting one.

Jayjay719
I ate at Johnny Rockets at Great Adventure and I enjoyed my burger. I love Panda Express though. I think it's a great idea to add another JR at Great Adventure because I waited a while to get my food.
Hercules
Yaaa! Veggie burgers!!! I love me some Johnny Rockets veggie burgers. Do the Six Flags parks have a decent, regular Johnny Rockets menu or is it a limited menu?

Why would one Six Flags park need 3 JRs? It is a good resteraunt IMO, but 3 located within 200 acres! That's nuts!
CoasterGuy06
How many different food stands sell regular hamburgers, hot dogs, etc? Heck, SFOG has three locations that sell Papa Johns, and each seemed pretty busy when I visited last year. It does several things. 1.) reduces lines at other JR, 2.) It makes it closer to the guest no matter where in the park they are.

JimmyBo
True, it is a very limited menu but the shakes are to die for! I had a shakes at the JR's at SFFT and SFOT and they were amazing. Although they weren't as good as Pink Things at SFOT but that's another debate to be had elsewhere. It kind of sucks when the wait time for food is longer than half the coasters in the park, so I'm all for anything that keeps those wait times down. bobafett
I have to admit that JR makes a mean black and white malt(extra malt and whipped cream ). One time time out in California I believe it was in San Diego, we went to an ice cream parlor and I asked the girl for a black and white malt and she looked at me like I had lobsters crawling out of my ears . So I had to explain to her how to make a black and white malt. She thought it was the coolest thing. Poor thing !
deano
Why does it have to be more JR's, how about a Dennys or Chilli's in a theme park, or am I just being too hopeful? Panda Express wins over JR for me, an overpriced, boring hamburger with no flavour?.....i'll pass thanks.

jamesdillaman
I don't go crazy for JR. The burgers are very greasy, and I've had much better, also there is always a long wait. They have the stupid nickle jukeboxes that never seem to work, and I have never had good service at any JR, in a themepark or stand alone. I'd rather they put an In and Out burger. At least it would be fast. -James Dillaman
PURE
Why does it have to be more JR's, how about a Dennys or Chilli's in a theme park, or am I just being too hopeful? I actually would prefer they took the time to invest in some of their own dining instead of providing whats available to the public once they drive out of the park and a mile down the road. This would make it unique to just MM, or just SF, and when people can't get things unless they're at the actual park, it makes the experience that much better. Disney, for example, with the Mickey shaped pretzels. When you start associating tastes with destinations, (something like awesome fries or Freshers Lemonade) I think it really helps with the overall image of the park. I don't eat food in the park that I can get any day for half the price once I leave.
MisterP
I've gotten burgers at the JR in the Mall of America twice and they were great. I had a burger at Cedar Point's JR and it was the worst sit-down restaurant burger I've ever had. For this reason, I don't buy chain food in theme parks. I'll try their own food....if it sucks, I'll either not be back for a decade or know better next time.
