ghost007jas Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Does Castle Park sell individual ride tickets? I'd love to do those "flyer" things and the coasters, but I'm not interested in spending over twenty bucks to do it!
CreditCrazy Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Does Castle Park sell individual ride tickets? I'd love to do those "flyer" things and the coasters, but I'm not interested in spending over twenty bucks to do it! Yep, they do.
ghost007jas Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 I can't find on their website how many tickets per ride.. Do you happen to know? (Sorry for stealing your thread, Big Mike, great report man!)
Big Mike Posted April 1, 2009 Author Posted April 1, 2009 No problem at all I didn't even know they had single ride tickets! I spent the $20 lol Peace, Big Mike
ghost007jas Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 I generally would, but I just don't have the cash right now! Nor will I for quote some time unfortunately :/.
ebl Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 A coaster identical to that Screamin Demon tours the fair circuit. One comes to the Ventura County Fair as "Pole Position." I rode it there a few years back and really didn't enjoy it much. The two lifts are...interesting. Believe it or not, I've never been to Castle Park. Maybe next time I head down to the Orange Empire Railway Museum in Hemet, I'll stop in. Eric
CreditCrazy Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 I can't find on their website how many tickets per ride.. Do you happen to know? (Sorry for stealing your thread, Big Mike, great report man!) Uhhh, I can't remember I remember a while ago I used the single tickets but...not sure how much it was. If I had to take a guess...5$ per ride? Not sure, it really is a better deal to get an all-rides wristband though. They also are always running deals for 5$ wristbands, 8$ wristbands, etc.
packfanlv Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Thanks for the report Big Mike! Castle Park and Scandia are both on my list of places to visit this year. We'll see if I can actually get to them!

I have off on Fridays and Saturdays, and have to work on Sundats The Friday at Dorney would be the best bet, as it is only a little over an hour from Big Mike World Headquarters! Remind me as it gets closer please Peace, Big Mike
Lenaapple1974 Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Hey Mike, I just remembered something. When we meet up for SFGA in August... that I have never been on Kingda Ka! I am thinking that for my premiere on the BMRS 2009, that I may possibly conquer my FEAR of KK! I do not like the high drops, so as a result, I have stayed away from that ride. I do love El Toro though. Nitro's first drop, not so much, but I do ride every time.
Big Mike Posted April 1, 2009 Author Posted April 1, 2009 Hey Lena!!! That sounds like a fantastic idea, unless you make your debut on The Big Mike Road Show earlier than waiting all the way to August!! Either way, you and I have a date for a FRONT SEAT ride on Kingda Ka. Peace, Big Mike
Lenaapple1974 Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 It's all about the FRONT!! I'm not scared.... ... yet!
traincrossin Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Yay! The 2009 Big Mike Road Show has begun. Looks like Castle Park is a great family park. Great pics to! Well, the sudden death round of the Find The Ducky contest is today. I'm always AMAZED at how accurate my horoscope can be on my homepage. I thought that i'd share with everyone. PiscesFebruary 19 - March 20 Remember that one wrong move today can cause you to have a headache for the rest of your life, dear Pisces. Beware of taking uncalculated risks. There is a great deal of dynamism and confidence in the air and though you may be tempted to take some chances. Maintain your own internal power by celebrating your own uniqueness, instead of your need to show off your daredevil spirit. Wow Can't wait for more pics Big Mike!
The Bebes Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Awesome Big Mike!!! Will Do! Looking forward to the next TR!!! The Bebes
Team Thriller Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Hey Big Mike, We are in the chat room ready to roll. --James "Bring on the Sudden Death" Flint
Big Mike Posted April 1, 2009 Author Posted April 1, 2009 THIS IS THE BIG MIKE ROAD SHOW 2008 MOST VALUABLE READER SUDDEN DEATH OVERTIME FIND THE DUCKY CHAMPIONSHIP QUESTION!! TEAM THRILLER VS. TRAINCROSSIN WINNER GETS A FREE 2009 SEASON PASS OF THIER CHOICE!! You can answer only once in each hour. If you get the answer wrong, you have to wait until the top of the next hour to answer again, so make sure it is right! It wont be easy either, since it is The Championship Question Of course Big Mike did not have a back up game stored away since he hung with his friends all day long at Compounce, so here is the question: HOW MANY DUCKIES WERE HIDDEN THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE YEAR OF THE BIG MIKE ROAD SHOW 2008?? COUNT EVERY ROUND WE PLAYED! GOOD LUCK!! I will stay logged on to tell you if your guess is correct or not! Peace, Big Mike
