robbalvey Posted February 7, 2008 Author Posted February 7, 2008 I still want to know what the song in the video is. If you READ the thread it's been said once and I think maybe even twice already! --Robb
fdelhomez Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 This rollercoaster looks pretty cool to ride! Hope ride it one of these days!
Louise Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 I loved that place: the coaster (sooooooo damn good), the crazy swings, the wheel of death (Chris: "Vorward is backward, right?"), the self-operated pirate ship, the boat jump, the AWESOME currywurst (which I do not remember being filmed eating), the petting zoo... That whole park was all kinds of fun, can't wait to go back someday soon.
WildStangAlex Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Awesome! I have been waiting for you guys to use "I Get Wet" by Andrew W.K. for a while now! Couldn't have used it for a better park. Great video too. Got it, thanks.
larrygator Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Great video as usual. While I loved the park, I don't think I would choose to go back to Klotten versus other parks in the area. The coaster provided insane airtime but all the other rides in the park were one-timers to me. I did get 2 refreshing wheat beers with my curry wurst which was a bonus. Did anyone watch the whole trained goat show?
Louise Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 ^ I didn't see the whole show, but was amused to notice a dog at the top of the goat pyramid.... "It thinks it's livestock!"
larrygator Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 ^I thought the dog was there as a sheperd, just to keep the goats in line. I did not realize he performed also. Maybe I do have to go back to Klotten someday!
IwantRevenge Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Lol "I got you a flower" that had me falling off my chair.
dandaman Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Ha... that kicked some typical-yet-not-typical TPR-style ass. Were there other parks that offered the boat jump besides Klotten?
larrygator Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 ^That was the only boat jump on the 2007 Trip, but I know there are more in Europe (I just don't know where).
PURE Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Wow awesome video! That wild mouse coaster looks freaking awesome! I love that shot of how it helix's so close to the grass that you could touch it with your hands while riding!
MollyG Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Great video! I loved it! Maybe someday I will get there...
larrygator Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 A quick Google search for Nautic Jet turned up the following parks that had the Nautic Jet boat jump. I don't know if all these parks still have them. Joboland - Denmark Sonnenland - Germany Tier-und-Freizeitpark Thule - Germany Freizeitzentrum Zahmer Kaiser - Austria ShiederSee Freizeitzentrum - Germany Schlossbeck - Germany anyone know of any more?
ikari Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 wooow this park looks really funny and original!! Nice
Peejay Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 ^^ I know that these two parks have the Nautic Jet, too: Freizeitpark Lochmuehle - Germany Erlebnispark Steinau - Germany.
rcrider Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Man, Heiße Fahrt looks insane! Too bad they didn't finish the theming, the volcano would have been a signature shot for the park (and would have the ride make more sense--doesn't it translate to "hot ride" or something like that?) Yeah, the rider-as-lawnmower feature would not work here in the 'states, but everything else would. Hint to smaller parks...build more of these crazy little things!
the sound Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Good Video guys! Loved the POV of Nautic jet. I went to a small Self Operated park in Germany in September, it was near Heidelberg. Had some awesome Animatronic attractions that acted out Nursery Rhymes in German. That and the bizarre Clown "Steeplechase" style ride.
crazybmedia Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Greetings from Norway. nice video. I'm gonna try to join one of your trips
pgriffin22 Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 great vid and the park looked awesome i really wish that there were parks like this in England! And could someone please tell me what the name of the song was?
Themeparkceo Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 That looks like an AWESOME park! Especially the 'wild mouse' coaster. I've never seen one to go so fast or so high before. I would love to see a full POV. OR, make a coaster like that in Orlando! LOL

Duinrel - Netherlands
Yankee cannonball Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 LOL "How many do you count this as?"
Jew Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 One of the parks we visited on the Japan trip had them in their water park...which was closed.
larrygator Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 Duinrel - Netherlands I should have known that one as I was researching "Rick's Delight" last week.
XLRBR Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 I hate you all you lucky bastards... Nah, but seriously sweet vid. One of these days, Robb (and/or Elissa), one of these days....
