^^ I love Apollo's Chariot at BGE. It's not quite in my Top 10, but it's close. Nitro did nothing for me. I stopped by SFDGAd really quick last summer and only was able to get one ride in on Nitro, so I went for the back most row, which I prefer on hypers. I don't know... maybe it was just my summer of working at Magnum XL-200 and being used to abrupt ejector air that left me disappointed, but it really just felt like I was sitting in the seat with a high-powered fan blowing on me.

I just got back from getting my pass processed, and I have to say Behemoth looks quite slow after the turn around. On my way in to the parking lot it looked as if it was going to come to a complete stop in the MCBR. The trains were only 1/4 full with water dummies so that could explain why it was crawling through the course. It was also great to see all three trains on the track for testing.

 

Flight Deck was stopped part way up the lift, so I assume that it has begun testing, and Extreme Skyflyer was testing with employees.

 

Opening day can't come soon enough!

There are a few places to repaint along the track. They were really noticeable in the final helix.

Not from what I could see. However, Sledge Hammer will not be opening with the other rides at the park.

Looks like the auction is about to 'sellout' all 64 seats, so the minimum bid price will start moving above $100 soon...good to see.

I'd guess the eBay affect has the most to do with it. Wait till the auction is about to close, and then put in your bid.

I cant imagine why season pass holders would want to bid. They're going the same night and will be on it within a few hours anyway, for free.

I'd guess that the Behemoth line will only be an hour if they limit the overflow queue.

 

Everyone's going to go straight to Behemoth for at least the first part of the season.

 

I will be pleasantly surprised if the line during preview night is only 1-1.5 hours.

Just an FYI, I heard through the grapvine from a rider that the ride is VERY trimmed and because of that...well...not so great.

Oh well, no matter how good, bad, or mediocre it is, it will still be the best coaster in the park, and the only B&M within a 5-hour radius of the park, and therefore everyone in that area will proclaim it the best ride ever. Gotta start somewhere!

^Oh I totally agree with you, but I was getting tired of all the B&M/CW fan boys talking about how this ride will be the best thing ever.

 

The worst part was it really 'could' have been, had they not killed it with the trims!

Gee, neutered before it even got any action, wasn't even Raging Bull at least not ruined by trims for a while?

^Raging Bull has good days, normal days, and bad days, and on a good day, it is the best ride in the park. However, those are few and far between, and usually it is a fun but tame ride.

 

 

Didn't see that coming...

 

Oh well, as Nicole said, it will still be the best ride in the park, and if it wasn't trimmed to hell, then it probably would be a very good ride.(and not just by CW standards) Hopefully this was just a bad day and the ride will be better when it opens to the public. However, since this is a large coaster at a CF park, I doubt it.

Yay, let's buid a 230 foot ride and put brakes on it so it is as intense as a 100 foot ride, I'm optimistic aren't I?
