downunder
I used to think it was Early Ride time like you get in the park early and ride.
ItsDavidU
I thought it meant 'Extended Ride Time'

exmouse
In the UK it is known as ERS. Exclusive Ride Session. I was under the impression in the US it was Exclusive Ride Time.

FeelTheFORCE
I used to think it was Early Ride time like you get in the park early and ride. Yeah, but, sometimes ERT is after the park closes.
FlyingScooter
When i was at an ACE event, a few of the ACERS called it: Every Retards Turn...
steel
I was under the impression in the US it was Exclusive Ride Time. That impression would be correct.
matteocrepaldi
To answare the opening question: ERT is a special period of time when the park is closed to the general public (before opening or after closing time) and some cool people are let in the park to ride one ore more coasters without the general public around. I'll do my first ERT on the midwest trip in 51 days!!! I add a question: what is a morning walkback?
steel
^You're going to love it. The best part is all the jealous GP who have no idea what's going on.
Johnny Upsidedown
ERT and ERS in Europe. Answer your question. A walk back is when you and your group are escorted to a ride to be first riders of the day.
coastrfreak2000
I thought a walkback was being escorted to areas of rides that are off limits to everyone else for special picture opportunities and other randomness....
coasterlover420
You know it's TPR when a thread like this goes this far...

WillMontu
ERT doesn't need to be after hours. On the UK trip, BPB closed off both Big Dipper and Grand National during regular park hours. http://www.themeparkreview.com/uk2006/blackpool/blackpool4.htm
Axman
I've been to 2 Paramount's Great America events (One for Stealth's opening & Demons anniversary, and one for Psycho Mouse's opening). Stealth was closed on its own "soft opening" ERT day, but Demon had ERT for its 30th anniversary. Psycho Mouse's "soft opening" day featured ERT on both Stealth and Psycho Mouse. I rode them each just under a dozen times in a row. Then we went to the banquet, and afterwards, Drop Zone was jsut opening up. Because there was no one in the back of the park yet, I rode it several times, with the ride totally to myself. It was AWSOME .
Zenny
I always thought it meant "Enjoy Robb's Tostadas"...why else would people get up at 6am to go to a park? -Don "Am I to understand there WON'T be any tostadas" Anderson
Danzaw*nk
In the UK it is known as ERS. Erm, pretty much everyone says ERT over here. Extra Ride Time. I like Disney's Extra Magic Hours Dan
Nrthwnd
ERT doesn't need to be after hours. On the UK trip, BPB closed off both Big Dipper and Grand National during regular park hours. Which is why, more often than not, it's best to call it Exclusive Ride Time, heh heh.
HAJiME
The E stands for erly at Alton Towers doesn't it? When talking about annual pass holders and hotel guests privilidge to ride Air and Nemesis half an hour before the park opens. So, what's the s in ERS? I've always wondered that.
