coastermaniac Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 What is your favorite thing to do in an amusement/theme park besides go on rides? Mine would be when we bring walkie-talkies into the park, I like to talk to random people on different channels, that or all the food.
Loco Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Just walking around the park, absorbing all the atmosphere and screams of riders.
darklingscribe Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 It depends on what Park you are at. At SFDK I love their interactive animal exhibits. At Disneyland the shows are awsome, and as a kid I really enjoyed the wet maze at formerly Paramount's Great America.
StealthFan Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Eating food, most enjoyable thing besides rideing, especially at Disneyland they have the best hotdogs ever.
YoshiFan Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 I like going to the arcade and playing DDR. There are no arcades close to me (except for a few that have horrible games) so when I am at a park I get the chance to play DDR and other games I don't have access to normally
errtyme Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 T-shirt shopping represent. Gots to have the gear. Clay "good job, better money...its goin down this season" Lamanske
mightypotato Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 I often enjoy some restaurants that parks offer. Cinderella's Castle at the Magic Kingdom and Festhaus at BGE are among my absolute favourites.
texasgiantrules Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 If the park has animals(SFDK, AK) i love to look at those
thrillrideseeker Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 When I am in an amusment park and not on rides, which is not very offten, I like to go shopping, take pictures, or if I am in the right park I just like to sit on a bench and take in the smells, This might sound strange, but certian parks acutally smell good to me. For example Silver Dollar City has a Cedar smell, and it smells so good, that I just like to sent on a bench and take it all in OH OH OH and when I am at an amusment park I like to watch other peoples reactions to the rides, Like I loved to watch people's reaction on Kingda Ka right before the launch. OMG They were like having a cow! It was great! ~Matthew
coastercrazed49 Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Take pictures, watch the rides, shop. Pretty much all the good stuff.
palmerleeberry Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 What is my favorite thing to do at the parks when I'm not riding. Usually that's all I do at a park: ride, ride, and ride some more!!! But when I am either waiting in the queing line or walking by a ride that is already in operation and hear some kiddies screaming their lungs out on a ride, it makes me laugh.
SpartanTS Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Animals (BGW, Animal Kingdom) Watching shows Eating, if the food is good Taking pictures
AlmereStars Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 while not riding a ride, the best thing is watching the ride could spend years only watching it
USRoadTripper Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 I'm fond of watching water rides to see people's reactions when they get wet. Popeye at IOA is particularly good for this! I also enjoy taking photos, eating and people watching. -Julie
Schmoofy Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 At any Disney park, it's experiencing the queues. If it's Knoebels, then it has to be food, even on the rides sometimes . Mostly any other park would involve taking pictures.
IceDragon Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 Just walking around the park, absorbing all the atmosphere and screams of riders. either that, doing walk throughs (fun houses, etc), taking photos of rides and friends, watching (and even participating) in shows (if there's time. THANK YOU TIVOLIWORLD, MALAGA!) or (if possible) leaving the park and go for a little walk (Adventure Island and Southend Pier)
Magnumfan Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Walk around the park, enjoying the shows and food. I love walking around at Cedar Point at night(listening and watching Magnum go up it's lift hill).
krouvi Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 There are some rides I can stair at all day long and enjoy it very much. I call it ridespotting.
holyblakbelt Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Trying to see if two adjacent rides with lift hills go up at the same time
