OMG! It was so gross! And yet, my corndog from the same place was amazing. See, that will teach you not to try anything new!

The indoor Hello Kitty park in Tokyo (Sanrio Puroland) has one real redeeming quality. (The only ride is a log flume.) It smells like the most amazing Cinnamon Rolls.

This park smells like cow dung.

Oh, and Quaker, the squidballs (takoyaki) taste better without the bonito flakes. I'm not a big fan of the green stuff or mayo on them either.

Just to let you all know....takoyaki are not squidballs...actually its octopus in a ball.....i love that stuff!! tako is octopus in Japanese

So that's what the name is! I've had Takoyaki a few times before but I can never remember its proper name.

:lmao: Beware of the Ikura

The Hello Kitty store in Tokyo also rocks

Dinning in Japan is like a box of chocolates you never know what you are going to get until you try - or have some local friends to steer you in the right direction.

There was a funny story about Richard Feynman in Japan. He ordered a box dinner which had a bunch of stuff in it. It came with a little bowl and inside, floating in vaguely goopy stuff, was a small, hard ball. He was terrified of it and didn't eat it. Later, he asked the waitress what it was. "Iki. It means water chestnut."
