rollermonkey Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 The indoor Hello Kitty park in Tokyo (Sanrio Puroland) has one real redeeming quality. (The only ride is a log flume.) It smells like the most amazing Cinnamon Rolls. This park smells like cow dung. Oh, and Quaker, the squidballs (takoyaki) taste better without the bonito flakes. I'm not a big fan of the green stuff or mayo on them either.

I've had Takoyaki a few times before but I can never remember its proper name.

There was a funny story about Richard Feynman in Japan. He ordered a box dinner which had a bunch of stuff in it. It came with a little bowl and inside, floating in vaguely goopy stuff, was a small, hard ball. He was terrified of it and didn't eat it. Later, he asked the waitress what it was. "Iki. It means water chestnut."
