Weird, but awesome! Could you imagine being one of the cars just riding by...and seeing that !

Oh, and just wondering, does your head go back and forth like that when you're riding in the real train, or is it just because of the F1 car?

Wow.......that looked extremely rough and boring.....it looks likealmost a roll back on every hill....with no airtime.

Just like your everyday ride on the Pepsi Max Big One then!

The idea of an F1 car on a coaster is neat, and it was probably an extremly impressive ride for the local residents when it opened, but let's just say that I understand the PMBO bashing after watching that video

Now that was awesome!!! I've never seen the promo video until now, and it looked really cool!

The reason they stuck an F1 car onto the track was to promote the revamp of Grand Prix, which was sponsored by the Jordan F1 team.

Yay! That's exactly what I thought when I rode it!!

helix of .5 mph

I can't believe how much Ralph's head was moving about!

(Ralph is Ralph Firman, a former F1 driver who sat in the cockpit for the lap of the track).

I can't remember were, but i rember to premote F1 in England (I think) Damon Hill attached his car to the track and rode it.

I seriously can't remember were i saw it though.

EDIT; That was Damon Hill

WOW look at the guys head!!!! Its rattling back and fourth like crazy! Not to mention it looks like the most boring coaster ever, I wonder if the F1 car had anything to do with it, even if they are like the most aerodynamic cars EVER! Pretty interesting though...

Geez, that looked like the most boring ride ever. Although, the whole F1 Car thing is pretty nifty.

Wasn't there a video on TV of someone roller skating on a coaster? I thought I saw it on Ripley's Believe it or Not. Never saw the segment, just saw a clip of it.

I mean, this looked like an awesome, quirky ride from the pics, but man! He was really bouncing around in that car! It looked like he would come off with bruises! And I see no point in the MCBR's.....or the helix.

The car looks... photoshopped into the video or something...

PS: I think the only reason it was slow was because it was only the car.. not the rest of the train so it was slower, and I'm going to assume that the car wasn't exactly made for the track with shocks and real coaster wheels.. unless the car was mounted with a coaster chasis....

It too suprised me that they still had the MCBR trimming the speed of the car...it came almost to a complete stop!

I also thought it was kinda funny how it engages the lift and just stops for a second.

I doubt Ralph Firman was told what row in the queue line in had to stand in

I remember reading somewhere some calling PMBO an oversized mine train coaster, they are not far from the truth there

It's almost true, the trains on the Pepsi Max aren't too differnt from those on Arrow Mine Trains, with a few modifications of course.

Didnt they have alot of rollback problems before it was actually filmed for tv?? I think I remember reading something about it. It definately went alot slower over the hills than a regular coaster train, but it still doesnt excactly look overly exciting with the exception of the first drop.

BTW, thats not the only rollercoaster stunt I have seen. Check out this video of a guy on a motorcycle on Katun!!!
