At first I thought this was about Aztec Adventure, the much overlooked watercoaster at the Beach. But wow, that thing is 2000 times as sweet =D

That looks awesome!

We have an upward waterslide (without jets) here at SFNE. It uses high speed conveyor belts to bring rafts up ramps. One of my favorite slides.

Wow, how has no one died yet and why is there not some sort of higher retaining edge on the top of that hill? You put someone on that that freaks out from the air time and they may end up with some extra air time as they crash to the pavement.

But I don't design water rides so what do I know.

Slide looks hella-cool.

are you guys kidding me? I thought this kind of ride was more well known aroudn the coaster owrld, especially seeing how ive BEEN on one. it only had one hill though, but it was pretty big and very safe. i dont think i saw anyone go even close to flyin off or ro.lling back. the trick though is to lift your butt at the bottom, or it scrapes across the drain. ow.

Hmm... couldnt find a good picture of it, but techincally it's the white one on the left:

^ You'll see a lot of oos and ahhs from Americans as we don't have this sort of thing here. This is the first time most of us have even heard of these slides. I'm sure they are perfectly safe but you know how our system works... if it even looks dangerous, forget it.

Ooo, frictionless airtime! That would never be allowed to be built here in Lawsuitland, USA. Looks like an awesome slide.

Got one right down the road from me, Aztec Adventure at the Beach, you're in a raft, but there's no jets or conveyors. I've lifted off the slide a couple times, but the real danger on that one is valleying, which happens a lot, actually. Last time I was there a small girl flipped out of the raft and went down the rest of the slide, busting her head open in the process. They were rocking it, though, which they expressly tell you NOT to do.

That one in Italy looks so sweet and so does that one. In one of the Waterpark threads somebody posted a video of the one in Italy and it shows these guys get OMG Airtime.

I'll try to find the link.

Ifound it here www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23871&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=waterslides&start=30

and go down to the video called Twin Peaks. Nice! (in Borat voice)

That's the one I rode. Totally scary! Going down the drop you get pushed off on rollers so you actually just fall through the air until you hit the bottom of the drop...

we have one like that in norway but its much much bigger!

this is the one:

they also have one huge slide:

that doesnt count, that's a master blaster, theyuse water jets/conveyor bets

^ If I understand it correctly, the Master Blasters always use jets. The ProSlide Rockets use conveyor belts.

I don't dwell on the details. that's like nitpicking on the details between an arrow and a vekoma. there are differences, but at the end of the day they both hurt.

There also was a slide with an uphill portion at Delgrosso's in PA. No jets or conveyors. You have to meet a specific weight requirement, and even then I still saw people getting stuck!
